Abstract

Natural rubber is one of the ingredients result that there are many rubber plantation in Indonesia, products of natural rubber product manufactured by company nationwide Rubber Company is lateks dark, ribbed smoked sheet and crumb rubber one of products manufactured by the factory rubber factory in Indonesia is ribbed smoked sheet. ribbed smoked sheet is one kind of processed products derived from latex or latex have a brisiliensis rubber plants are processed in mechanical and chemical engineering using a drying room with smoke, almost all factories do fumigation only using rubber wood as fuel, the researchers are looking for alternative fuel using palm shells are pretty much and easily accessible in the palm oil mill.  The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of fuel combination of rubber wood and palm shells as a fuel source fumigation ribbed smoked sheet this study uses fuel of rubber wood and palm shells by using a laboratory scale fumigation, the first combination used 100% rubber woods, the second combination used 50% rubber woods and 50% palm shells the third combination used 100% palm shells. Ribbed smoked sheet  which is observed  according  to the ribbed smoked sheet  Indonesian national standard (SNI) the result of the study indicated that wood rubber fuel produce the best ribbed smoked sheet than palm shells and the combination of palm shells and rubber wood.

Abstract

Organic waste is a type of waste that can weather or decompose into smaller materials, while non-organic waste is a type of waste that is very difficult to decompose. Binjai is one of the villages in Deli Serdang which is not free from waste management problems. In this case, Deli Serdang district produces household waste (SRT) and similar household waste (SSRT) in quite large quantities. The objectives of this activity are: (1) To provide information and education about processing organic waste into eco enzymes; (2) Provide information about the processing and use of Eco Enzyme in agriculture as organic fertilizer. The target of the activity was farmer groups in Bhakti Karya Village, Binjai City on January 17 2024. The activity was carried out twice using two methods, namely lecture, demonstration and question and answer. The service activity began with the team making eco-enzyme samples. The purpose of making samples is for harvesting while making eco-enzyme takes three months. Based on the results of the community service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the socialization of making eco-enzymes can meet the needs and provide benefits to the Bhakti Karya sub-district farmer group, so that this service can really be continued

Abstract

Socialization of organic fertilizer for horticultural crops aims to provide information regarding the benefits of using organic fertilizer for sustainable agriculture, providing education on making organic fertilizer from agricultural waste. This community service activity was carried out in Central Kuta Village, Karo Regency. Participants in this activity were 35 people from Central Kuta Village, Karo Regency. They work as farmers on horticultural crops such as vegetables and fruit. The methods used were lectures, demonstrations and discussions regarding the benefits of organic fertilizer and how to make organic fertilizer using agricultural waste. The results of service activities show that there is community awareness and interest in processing agricultural waste into organic fertilizer. This is proven by the appreciation and enthusiasm of the community in discussions. People are interested in using their agricultural waste to be processed into organic fertilizer because it can maintain soil fertility or improve soil structure and from an economic perspective it is enough to minimize the budget for purchasing fertilizer.

Abstract

Kangkung hidroponik menjadi kangkung rendang dan kangkung arsik serta hasil olahan lainnya merupakan kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan nilai tambah dalam menghasilkan suatu produk turunan, serta menambah pendapatan dan keuntungan produsen dalam menciptakan peluang inovasi UMKM untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat Kota Medan. Tujuan penelitian pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai bagaimana cara budidaya tanaman sayuran dengan teknik hidroponik, menguraikan apa saja tahapan pengolahan dalam pembuatan produk olahan turunan kangkung arsik, kangkung rendang, dan olahan lainnya, serta menganalisis biaya produksi, penerimaan, pendapatan, sistem pemasaran. Selain itu, sayuran yang dibudidayakan dengan teknik hidroponik adalah kangkung, sawi, pakcoy, bayam, dan selada dengan menggunakan sistem budidaya Nutrient Film Technique (NFT). Terdapat juga produk olahan atau turunan akan tanaman hidroponik lainnya, yaitu keripik sawi, dan kale keju kribo, serta terdapat juga minuman sirup dari bunga telang. Penelitian pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di Syifa Hidroponik yang terdapat di Jalan Bromo Lorong Amal No. 11, Tegal Sari III, Kecamatan Medan Area, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara 20216. Tahapan pengolahan kangkung hidroponik menjadi kangkung rendang yaitu: Penyediaan bahan baku kangkung hidroponik, kangkung dihaluskan, pengadonan kangkung, telur ayam, tepung beras dan garam, kangkung dikukus, kangkung didinginkan, kangkung dipotong-potong, kangkung digoreng, pemasakan bumbu rendang, pencampuran kangkung yang digoreng dengan bumbu rendang dan pemasaran. Abstract

Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola saluran pemasaran dan fungsi-fungsi pemasaran rambutan di Desa Padang Brahrang, Kecamatan Selesai, Kabupaten Langkat, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode penentuan daerah penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive sampling). Metode penentuan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan cara snowball sampling. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Metode analisis data penelitian digunakan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Pola saluran pemasaran rambutan di daerah penelitian adalah saluran pemasaran I : Petani à Pedagang Pengecer à Konsumen dan saluran pemasaran II : PetaniàPedagang PengumpulàPedagang PengeceràKonsumen. Fungsi-fungsi pemasaran rambutan di daerah penelitian adalah pada saluran pemasaran I dan II petani rambutan melakukan fungsi-fungsi pemasaran meliputi fungsi pertukaran yang berupa penjualan. Sedangkan, pada saluran pemasaran I dan II pedagang pengecer dan pedagang pengumpul rambutan melakukan fungsi-fungsi pemasaran meliputi fungsi pertukaran yang berupa pembelian dan penjualan, juga fungsi fisik yang berupa pengemasan, penyimpanan, dan pengangkutan, dan juga fungsi fasilitas yang berupa sortasi, penanggungan resiko, dan informasi pasar. Dan juga pada saluran pemasaran I dan II konsumen rambutan melakukan fungsi-fungsi pemasaran meliputi fungsi pertukaran yang berupa pembelian.

Abstract

Jumlah produksi kentang di Sumatera Utara pada tahun 2012 mencapai 16,49 ton/ha dengan luas lahan 3.272 ha di Kabupaten Karo Sumatera Utara berdasarkan data dari badan pusat statistik produksi kentang di Sumatera Utara cukup signifikan karena provinsi ini merupakan salah satu sentra penghasil kentang di Indonesia. Sekitar 20% dari jumlah kentang di Indonesia dihasilkan oleh Provinsi Sumatera Utara, dimana pusat kotanya berada di medan maka konsumsi terbesar kentang ada di masyarakat Kota Medan. Hal ini menjadi masalah dan ancaman bagi pemenuhan konsums kentang khususnya di Kota Medan. Tingkat konsumsi kentang segar merupakan volume kentang yang di konsumsi oleh konsumen dalam satuan per waktu. Sehingga perlu dilihat tingkat konsumsi dan preferensi konsumen terhadap kentang segar baik dari sisi harga, ukuran, kelembaban, aroma yang menjadi pilihan akhir konsumen untuk memutuskan mengkonsumsi kentang segar sesuai kebutuhannya. Konsumsi kentang segar di Kota Medan sebesar 61,72 gram/kap/hari. Preferensi Konsumen untuk membeli dan mengkonsumsi kentang segar, yaitu memiliki komposisi kombinasi yang bernilai baik menunjukkan pada level atribut yang paling penting, yaitu atribut harga (0.423), ukuran (0.243), warna (0.214), kelembaban (0.164), serta aroma (0.104). Artinya konsumen lebih mengutamakan atribut harga kentang dibandingkan atribut lainnya. Model Kombinasi yang disukai konsumen kentang segar secara umum adalah kombinasi nomor 9, yaitu terong ungu segar dengan komposisi kombinasi level atribut ukuran sedang, beraroma tidak tajam, harga berkisar Rp 12000/kg dan tingkat kelembaban/kekeringannya kategori lembab serta memiliki warna kuning gelap.
