Abstract

ABSTRAK Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kurang mampu untuk Peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran IPA di dalam kelas dan metode yang digunakan kurang menarik perhatian siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran Brainstorming di SMP N 20 Kota Kupang. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) menggunakan model kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa/ siswi kelas VIIIB. Teknik dalam pengambilan data yaitu dengan menggunakan rubrik keterampian proses sains dan lembar observasi aktifitas guru. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dan persentase secara individu dan klasikal. Untuk menentukan keberhasilan pelaksanaan PTK menggunakan indikator keberhasilan yaitu 75%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan keterampilan proses sains siswa dan aktivitas guru mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I, dimana pada pertemuan I keterampilan proses sains siswa persentasenya 65% dan pada pertemuan II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 84%. Sedangkan observasi aktifitas guru pada pertemuan I persentasenya 61% dan pada pertemuan II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 88%. Peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada pertemuan II disebabkan oleh proses perbaikan yang dilakukan oleh guru setelah melakukan proses pembelajaran pertemuan I. Adanya peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa dan aktifitas guru dikarenakan dalam proses pembelajaran menerapkan metode brainstorming, sehingga dapat disimpulkan dengan penerapan metode brainstorming dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic, which has lasted more than a year, has had an impact on various aspects of life. One of them is in the learning process at school. SMA Negeri 3 Fatuleu also experienced various problems in the learning process during the covid-19 pandemic including: (a) teachers do not yet have the ability to use online media optimally; (b) the limited use of online learning media at SMA Negeri 3 Fatuleu; (c) Students do not understand the material due to the lack of use of online learning media that is attractive and easily accessible to students. The purpose of this service activity is to provide training on how to create various online learning media. This PKM uses the presentation method, demonstration method and practical method. PKM involved 20 teachers from SMA Negeri 3 Fatuleu. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it showed that there was an increase in the ability of teachers to use online learning media. 50% of teachers gave a very good response in understanding the material for using zoom and google meet. 60% of the teachers said they were very good at understanding the material for making E-books, 50% said they were very good at understanding the Google Form material and 50% of the teachers said they were very good at understanding the audiovisual-based mind mapping material. In addition, based on the questionnaire, as many as 65% of teachers stated that they were very good at understanding and applying the training materials while 35% said they were good in understanding and applying the training materials

Abstract

Telindale Beach is part of the Central Rote Sub-district in the Rote Ndao Regency. The beach is also a seaside region with many community activities, including tourism, recreation, and sales. These activities have a significant impact on the health of aquatic ecosystems. The presence of pollutants in water might cause a decline in its quality. Gastropods are among the species that are sensitive to changes in water quality. This study sought to provide information on gastropod diversity as a bioindicator of water quality at Telindale Beach. This study was both descriptive and quantitative, with the location determined through purposive sampling. The line-transect approach was applied at three locations, each with a different substrate. The data were evaluated using diversity, uniformity, and dominance index techniques. The research revealed that the gastropods identified at the beach belonged to 13 families, 15 genera, and 19 species, with 112 individuals across all stations. The diversity index ranged from 0.27 to 2.33 (moderately contaminated), the uniformity index was 0.84-0.91 (high), and the dominance index was 0.12-0.31 (moderate). According to the species diversity index data, the waters near Telindale Beach were the most polluted. Keywords: bioindicator, gastropods, Telindale Beach

Abstract

This study addresses the limited availability of validated diagnostic instruments for assessing teacher candidate competencies in microteaching courses, a gap that has resulted in inconsistent evaluation practices and weak competency identification. In many teacher education programs, microteaching assessments still rely on informal observations and subjective judgments, which limits the accuracy of competency diagnosis and weakens feedback for professional development. The absence of standardized and validated diagnostic tools has made it difficult to systematically identify specific strengths and weaknesses of teacher candidates. The research aimed to develop an evaluation and self-reflection instrument covering four key teacher competencies: pedagogical, professional, personality, and social. Using the ADDIE development model, the instrument was designed, validated by expert reviewers, and tested with Biology Education students in their microteaching course. Validation processes confirmed high feasibility across design, content, and language aspects. User testing with students and lecturers also indicated strong acceptability and practical relevance. The resulting instrument provides a structured and multi-dimensional framework for diagnosing competency strengths and weaknesses, offering more systematic support for improving teacher candidate performance in microteaching settings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop pop-up book learning media on genetic material in grade IX of SMPN Satap Ekin II Belu Regency and assess its feasibility and effectiveness in increasing students' interest and motivation to learn. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with an ADDIE development model that includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validation results showed a score of 80.0% by material experts, 78.3% by media experts, and 97.7% by linguists, with the category of valid–very valid without revision. The small group trial obtained 94.9% and the large group 92.6% with a very valid category. The pop-up book media obtained a feasibility of 88.7%, showing that this media is very suitable for use in learning and is able to increase students' interest and motivation to learn judging from the trial questionnaire that the average learning interest from the small group and large group trials obtained results of 4.80 and 4.62 with very high interpretation, thus that this pop-up book media is declared feasible as a learning medium and can also increase interest and motivation to learn student. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran pop-up book pada materi genetik kelas IX di SMPN SATAP Ekin II Kabupaten Belu serta menilai kelayakan dan efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan nilai sebesar 80,0% oleh ahli materi, 78,3% oleh ahli media, dan 97,7% oleh ahli bahasa, dengan kategori valid–sangat valid tanpa revisi. Uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh 94,9%, dan uji coba kelompok besar memperoleh 92,6% dengan kategori sangat valid. Media pop-up book ini memiliki tingkat kelayakan sebesar 88,7%, menunjukkan bahwa media tersebut sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran serta mampu meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil angket uji coba, rata-rata skor minat belajar siswa pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan besar masing-masing sebesar 4,80 dan 4,62 dengan interpretasi sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran pop-up book dinyatakan layak digunakan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan minat serta motivasi belajar siswa.
