Abstract

Islamic education views understanding the Al-Quran as the main foundation in forming the religious identity and morality of Muslim individuals. The Arabic language curriculum in Islamic educational institutions is a key tool in guiding students to absorb and understand the holy messages of the Al-Quran. This research was conducted to develop an effective Arabic language curriculum to improve understanding of the Al-Quran in Islamic educational institutions. Literature reviews, interviews with Islamic education experts, and evaluations of existing Arabic curricula reveal shortcomings in facilitating in-depth understanding of the Qur'an. The proposed curriculum emphasizes a contextual approach by integrating Al-Qur'an exegesis (tafsir) and historical context. This aims to ensure that students not only understand the text literally but also gain a deeper understanding of the meaning and message contained in it. Furthermore, the curriculum emphasizes the development of Arabic language skills to facilitate understanding and interaction with the Al-Quran. This includes understanding grammar, vocabulary, and the ability to apply Arabic language structures in reading and understanding the Al-Quran text. The importance of considering students varying levels of ability was also highlighted in the development of this curriculum. By accommodating different skill levels, the curriculum can be tailored to ensure that each student can gain maximum benefit from learning. Through the development of a more contextual and skills-oriented curriculum, it is hoped that the overall quality of Islamic education will improve. In addition, this curriculum is expected to strengthen students religious identity and increase their understanding of the Al-Quran, thereby having a positive impact on the Muslim community at large.

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل التغيرات في المعنى باللغة العربية الواردة في أخبار صحيفة الجزيرة. ومنهج البحث المستخدم هو الوصفي الكيفي باستخدام أخبار الجزيرة كمصدر رئيسي للبيانات. وأظهرت نتائج البحث وجود 4 توسعات في المعنى وتضييقين في المعنى تم تحليلها من عنوان واحد في صحيفة الجزيرة. يتم تحديد تطور الغذاء من خلال استخدام كلمات معينة، وتحديدا في سياق التكنولوجيا والسياسة والاقتصاد. وفي سياق التكنولوجيا، يحدد هذا البحث 9 مفردات عربية حديثة شهدت تغيرات في المعنى مرتبطة بالتطورات التكنولوجية. كما شهدت 8 مفردات عربية حديثة مرتبطة بالسياسة تغيرات في المعنى، بينما بالنسبة للاقتصاد، كان هناك 5 مفردات عربية حديثة شهدت تغيرات في المعنى في السياق الاقتصادي. توفر نتائج هذا البحث فهما أعمق للتغيرات في معنى اللغة العربية في سياق وسائل الإعلام، وخاصة صحيفة الجزيرة. ويمكن استخدام مضامين هذه النتائج كأساس لفهم تطور معنى اللغة العربية في مواقف الاتصال الحديثة التي تتأثر بالتطورات التكنولوجية والسياسية والاقتصادية، كما أن هناك 5 تطورات في معنى اللغة العربية انطلاقا من جملة الفعل.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify the forms of linguistic landscape in the Al-Amin Prenduan Sumenep Islamic Boarding School environment, (2) measure the level of motivation to learn Arabic among female students, and (3) analyze the relationship between linguistic landscape and motivation to learn Arabic. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques that include observation, documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires to 65 respondents. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, Normality and Linearity, as well as Pearson's Correlation test to test the relationship between variables. The results of the study showed a significant and strong correlation between the linguistic landscape and motivation to learn Arabic, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.872. The findings confirm that the existence of a linguistic landscape in the Islamic boarding school environment contributes positively to increasing the motivation of female students to master Arabic. The recommendation of this study is the development of the linguistic landscape as a learning motivation strategy in Islamic boarding schools.
