Abstract

Background: Hyperuricemia is a condition on the level of uric acid in the blood increases, it is more than 6.0 mg/dL in women and more than 7.0 mg/dL in men and is currently a public health problem because of its increasing prevalence. Hyperuricemia is believed to have contributed to an increased risk of mortality and morbidity associated with various diseases such as metabolic syndrome, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, etc. Flavonoids in plants can be used to help treat hyperuricemia due to it is believed to have low side effects. Objective: The aim of this article was to review the effect of flavonoids on plants as anti-hyperuricemia. Design: The design used in preparing this manuscript is an integrative review by reviewing articles on the impact of flavonoids as anti-hyperuricemia. Data Sources: Sources of information were obtained from research articles from 2004-2023 which were accessed through PubMed, Scopus, Sciendirect, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar. Review Methods: In the process of selecting articles to ensure the quality of the articles used in preparing this article, the authors used the PRISMA method. Results: In this article, 15 in vivo studies related to the effect of plants containing flavonoids (kaemferol, luteolin, apigenin, rutin quercetin, morin, butein, vitexin, etc.) on reducing uric acid levels by various mechanisms from previous studies. Conclusion: Based on several studies reported that flavonoids have an effect on lowering uric acid levels by inhibiting xanthine oxidase (XO) activity, affecting the expression of uric acid transporters in the kidneys which contribute to the increase of excretion of uric acid in urine.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit yang banyak terjadi di masyarakat serta tidak terdapat gejala yang spesifik. Sikap masyarakat menjadi salah satu penyebab meingkatnya prevalensi hipertensi. Tujuan : pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sikap penderita hipertensi. Metode : edukasi idiberikan dengan metode Focus Group Discusiion (FGD) dan media leaflet dan power point selama 25 menit. Hasil : Pemberian edukasi atau informasi dapat berpengaruh terhadap sikap penderita hipertensi, hasil ini dapat dilihat dari nilai p value 0,000. Implikasi :adanya perubahan sikap penderita hipertensi yang mana sebelum diberikan edukasi, nilai sikap paling banyak dalam kategori cukup dan setelah diberikan edukasi, sikap subyek menjadi mengalami perubahan, yaitu sebagian besar menjadi kategori baik . Kesimpulan: edukasi tentang diit hipertensi dapat berpengaruh terhadap sikap subyek atau penderita hipertensi ( p value 0,000).

Abstract

Pemberian nutrisi yang seimbang pada anak dapat dijadikan salah satu usaha agar anak-anak bisa tumbuh dengan baik. Peran yang sangat penting dalam pola makan dan asupan makan balita adalah peran dari orang tua terutama dalam memberikan makanan tambahan bagi balita. Tujuan: untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu terkait gizi yang seimbang untuk balita. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Posyandu Kamboja Desa Tembelang Kabupaten Jombag. Pengabdian Masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi berupa penyuluhan tentang PMT balita dengan bantuan leaflet dan pembagian pudding lumut sebagai contoh PMT untuk balita. Hasil: Sebagian besar ibu tidak bekerja dan di Posyandu Kamboja masih ditemukan balita dengan status gizi kurang .Kesimpulan: Kegiatan penyuluhan serta pembagian PMT diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mandiri dan kualitas PMT untuk balita

Abstract

Anemia pada ibu hamil dapat menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan pada ibu dan janin. Penyebab anemia pada ibu hamil antara lain asupan zat gizi yang rendah, status gizi (LILA), penyakit infeksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan status gizi (LILA) dengan anemia pada ibu hamil. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan metode cross sectional yang dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Kedungpring pada Bulan Juni-Juli 2023. Subyek penelitian adalah 41 ibu hamil yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Status gizi dihitung dengan mengukur lingkar lengan atas dengan metlin, dan anemia dinilai dengan mengukur kadar hemoglobin subjek menggunakan metode Cyanmethemoglobin. Analisis statistik dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product moment. Hasil penelitian ini Nilai rata-rata status gizi ibu hamil adalah 25,76 cm dan nilai rata-rata anemia adalah 11,61 mg/dL. Hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa hubungan antara status gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada ibu hamil adalah p = 0,003. Kesimpulan dari pernelitian ini ada hubungan antara status gizi (LILA) dengan anemia pada ibu hamil.

Abstract

Currently, hypertension is still a major problem for the elderly because its prevalence is increasing. Roselle flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) can be used as one of the main ingredients in making snacks (pudding) because roselle flowers have good nutritional content, including antioxidants. The implementation of this community service activity aims to provide education on the hypertension diet and the use of roselle flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) as an alternative snack for hypertension sufferers. This activity was carried out on February 25, 2024 at Perumda Candimulyo, Jombang Regency. The target for carrying out activities is the elderly with a total of 23 people. A series of community service activities, including health and anthropometric examinations, hypertension diet education, education on making and distributing roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) pudding. The method for implementing this activity is health education using the group discussion method. The media used in delivering this activity is leaflets. Community service activities take place in an orderly and smooth manner. By carrying out this activity, it is hoped that the elderly can adopt a healthy eating pattern so they can control blood pressure while at home.
