Abstract

The characteristics of learning in the 21st century are directed at encouraging students to work together, be communicative, think creatively, think critically, think computationally, and have compassion. This study aims to apply a problem-based learning (PBL) model based on Probolinggo local wisdom to improve students' scientific literacy skills. The type of research used is quasi-experimental and uses a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The type of research used is quasi-experimental and uses a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study used two class samples, namely class XII MIPA 1 as a class that will be given treatment (experimental) while class XII MIPA 3 as a class that is not given treatment (control). The Probolinggo local wisdom-based PBL model becomes the independent variable in this study. The dependent variable in this research is students' scientific literacy skills. The control variables in this study were the teachers or researchers, the number of students taught (sample), and the learning materials for dynamic fluids. This research obtained valid learning tools with a validity level of 89.2%. The level of implementation of learning is 94%. Applying learning to apply Probolinggo local wisdom-based PBL model effectively increases students' scientific literacy abilities. This was obtained from the results of the independent-sample T-test, showing that the significance value is 0.000, which is less than 0.05. An increase was seen from the N-Gain test, obtained 0.60 in the class that was given the treatment, while 0.05 in the class that was not. In the future, learning based on Probollinggo's local wisdom can be developed in dynamic fluid learning and linear material learning.

Abstract

This literacy program and reading corner aims to (1) Implement a literacy program and reading corner at SDN 2 Pamotan (2) Increase students' interest in reading at SDN 2 Pamotan (3) Have a literacy program and reading corner on an ongoing basis which are continued by the school. The method used in implementing the program starts from creating a reading corner in each class, then there is assistance with teachers in schools regarding the literacy schedule to be implemented, making instruments, 15 minutes of reading before class starts, journaling for 5 minutes, reading in front of the class , and there is an achievement book. The output of the program has been achieved, that is, at SDN 2 Pamotan a literacy program and reading angle have been implemented, students' interest in reading has increased after the program was implemented, and the school has agreed to continue the program. In the program implemented, it makes students more fond of reading, this is evidenced by the results of the questionnaire that 36% of students stated that they strongly agreed, and 64% of students stated that they agreed, then 0% of students who fill in less agree and disagree. Then the literacy program and reading corner are feasible to be continued by the school, this can be seen from the results of the questionnaire which shows an average of 100% in the strongly agree category, so that Pamotan 2 Elementary School teachers strongly agree to continue the literacy program and reading corner at school.

Abstract

Physics learning based on local wisdom integrates everyday phenomena directly into students' learning experiences, thereby creating a more meaningful physics teaching and learning process. Petik Laut is a tradition carried out by fishermen as a sign that they stop fishing during the west season because this condition is considered dangerous for fishermen, and as an expression of gratitude for the abundant sea products by throwing offerings into the sea. This Petik Laut tradition can be linked to the study of physics, especially fluids, because if we carry out a more in-depth analysis, this activity involves various physics concepts. Therefore, this research aims to explore the concept of fluid physics in the local wisdom of Petik Laut Lamongan. This research uses a qualitative research method that is oriented towards exploration with stages of data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Data collection used three methods, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Data will be analyzed descriptively. The results of the research show that the physics concepts contained in the local wisdom of Petik Laut Lamongan are three physical concepts that can be explored, namely Bernoulli's Law, Archimedes' Law, and hydrostatic pressure. In practice, these findings can be used as a source of material for the development of media and learning resources based on local wisdom, which not only enrich physics teaching materials but also encourage cultural preservation through integration into the education curriculum.
