Abstract

The NTB Golden Generation Program (GEN NTB) is a strategy to improve the quality of human resources in West Nusa Tenggara Province since 2012. The target to be achieved from this program is the formation of a healthy, intelligent, devout and productive generation by 2045. In line with the GEN NTB program. Research has been conducted on GEN NTB children aged 4-6, to determine the relationship between OXTR gene mRNA expression and prosocial behavior in GEN NTB children. However, this research focused on the target areas of Central Lombok and East Lombok Regencies. Meanwhile, stunting cases also occur in other districts in NTB Province. To find out the condition of stunting in West Lombok Regency, especially in coastal areas, case identification and socialization are carried out. For this reason, through this community service, motorbikes will be carried out by socializing the causes of stunting, especially the target community is coastal areas. Specifically, the people of Senggigi Village are people who have been marginalized in terms of domicile and employment opportunities due to tourism development in the area. Thus, it is important to make efforts to reduce stunting rates in coastal areas, through socializing the stunting problem in Senggigi Village.

Abstract

Low coverage of antenatal care (ANC) and mothers’ delivery conducted not in the health care facilities were two major problems related to maternal health care in of the West Nusa Tenggara Province. The accompaniment to pregnant women could be solution to prevent the risks of pregnancy by increasing the coverage of ANC and directing mother to deliver in health care facilities. This study aims to study the effect of mentoring pregnant women on maternal health behavior during pregnancy until delivery. A quasi-experiment study was conducted in two districts namely East and Central Lombok. Two public health centers ‘Puskesmas’ were selected in each districts. They differed as the intervention and controlled health centers. The criteria for the both health centers were having high number of pregnant women, but low coverage of maternal health services. The control health centers defined as having the closest distance from the intervention one. Study population of this study were all pregnant women in the study area. Sample were selected for those women with the gestational age of 24-26 weeks and willing to be accompanied further or neither not delivery. The total of 130 women were randomly selected from the study population. Results showed the accompaniment of pregnant women was able to increase the score of health behavior as compare to the control group. Pregnant women with accompaniment were 30 times higher chance of better health behavior (OR=30.89; 95%CI=10.72-84.40), and 3 fold prefer to deliver at health facilities (OR=2.89; 95%CI=1.16-7.21). Other positive impact of accompaniment was the obedience of iron pill at least 90 tablets, as well as food supplementation taken. Student accompaniment brought a positive impact to pregnant women on health behavior and delivery in health facility.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) requires optimal glycemic control. Medication adherence is key to achieving HbA1c targets, but local data at Universitas Mataram Hospital is still limited. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between medication adherence and HbA1c profiles in type 2 DM patients. An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted in May 2025 with 40 randomly selected samples. Adherence was measured using the MMAS-8 questionnaire, and HbA1c data came from medical records. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. Results showed 50% of subjects were adherent and 50% were non-adherent. Regarding glycemic control, 70% had controlled HbA1c. Statistical analysis found no significant relationship between adherence and HbA1c profile (p-value = 0.490). However, a proportional trend showed the adherent group had a higher percentage of HbA1c control (75%) than the non-adherent group (65%). Conclusion, there was no statistically significant relationship between medication adherence and HbA1c profiles. Despite this, the observed clinical trend indicates that adherence remains an important factor to consider in DM management, alongside other determinants like diet and physical activity.

Abstract

Stunting is a crucial health problem in Indonesia due to its high prevalence of 21.6% in 2022. Stunting is influencedby many factors, one of which is exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to determine the relationshipbetween exclusive breastfeeding and stunting in children (6-9 months) in the working area of the Labuhan HajiHealth Center, East Lombok Regency. This research method is observational analytic with a cross-sectional ap-approach. The sample size was 86, selected using a simple random sampling method. Primary data were obtainedfrom questionnaires on breastfeeding history, environmental sanitation, and complementary feeding history usingan interviewer-administered questionnaire. Secondary data were obtained from data at the Labuhan Haji HealthCenter. Data analysis of both variables was performed using the Chi-Square statistical test. Bivariate test results showed a significant association between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting in children (6-9 months) inthe working area of the Labuhan Haji Health Center, East Lombok Regency (p-value = 0,000; PR = 6,932). InConclusion: There is a significant association between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting in children (6-9 months)in the working area of the Labuhan Haji Health Center, East Lombok Regency.
