Abstract

Community service in the form of workshop on digital literacy at Rahmatullah Al-Ma'arif Darek Junior High School in Central Lombok aimed to improve students' understanding of digital literacy through a systematic evaluation process. The pre-test showed a low initial level of understanding, which significantly improved after the workshop. Statistical analysis using a t-test showed the effectiveness of the workshop in improving students' digital literacy. This research underscores the importance of ICT education and the need to include digital literacy initiatives in basic education. The findings provided additional insights for educators and policy makers in promoting digital skills among students, especially in rural areas.

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Society 5.0 have created a demand for technology-based skills, including Data Science. This community service program aimed to introduce Data Science concepts to students at SMAN 1 Gunung Sari, preparing them for the digital era. Through interactive training sessions covering Data Science basics, data analysis simulations, and career discussions, both students and teachers gained essential foundational knowledge. The results showed an increase in students' knowledge and motivation towards STEM fields, as well as new skills for teachers in integrating data-driven learning. This program also strengthened the school's profile as an institution proactive in preparing students for future technological challenges.

Abstract

This research analyzes criminal liability for illegal fishing using trawl nets, based on Decision No. 1/Pid.Sus-PRK/2024/PN Mdn. The study employs a normative juridical method by examining statutory provisions and the judge’s reasoning in imposing sanctions. Findings show that the act of using trawl nets violates the Fisheries Law and environmental principles, as it damages marine ecosystems and threatens sustainable fish resources. The judgment upholds both retributive and preventive goals by punishing the perpetrator while promoting environmental deterrence. The study concludes that legal enforcement in fisheries requires consistency and integration between criminal sanctions and sustainable development policy.

Abstract

The phenomenon of denial of the Sunnah, namely the rejection of the authority of hadith as a source of Islamic teachings, has become a crucial issue in contemporary hadith studies. Although it emerged more strongly in the modern era, the seeds of similar thinking have been criticized by classical scholars. Ibn Hazm al-Andalusi (d. 456 AH) is one of the important figures who emphasized the position of hadith in the structure of Islamic law. Through his monumental work, al-Iḥkām fī Uṣūl al-Aḥkām. This study aims to highlight the importance of this Andalusian scholar's contribution to maintaining the methodological foundations of Islam. The method used in this study is qualitative with a literature study approach, examining Ibn Hazm's texts and comparing them with discourses on denial of the Sunnah in both classical and modern traditions. The results show that Ibn Hazm not only rejected the attitude of denial of the Sunnah but also offered a systematic framework of ushul fiqh to maintain the authority of hadith. These findings emphasize the relevance of Ibn Hazm's thought to contemporary discourse, particularly in facing the wave of criticism of hadith. Thus, this study highlights the importance of the contributions of Andalusian scholars in maintaining the continuity of Islamic epistemology.
