Abstract

Immobility in the elderly can cause muscle stiffness, pain, and impaired movement, highlighting the need for families to understand the potential effects of immobilization beyond just taking special care of their elderly members. This study aims to describe the risk factors for falls among the elderly in the working area of Krueng Barona Jaya Health Center. A descriptive design using a cross-sectional approach was employed, with a sample of 65 respondents. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire sheet. The findings revealed that the highest distribution of fall risk was in the high category, with 33 respondents (50.8%) at risk of falling. The study's outcomes can serve as a guide for healthcare professionals in providing appropriate services to elderly patients, particularly those at risk of falls.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the digital literacy and entrepreneurial capacity of youths in Nagari Koto Tuo, Harau District, by introducing a Population Information System and training on Digital Marketing for household products. Through a series of workshops held at the computer laboratory of Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh, participants were taught basic data management, website creation, and strategies for marketing local products through digital platforms. This program provides solutions to the lack of a structured population data system and the limited market reach of household businesses. The outcomes include the development of a prototype village population database system and enhanced participant capability in online marketing.

Abstract

Discharge planning issues are not only found in Indonesia but also around the world. Global data shows that nurses in several countries do not carry out discharge planning. This results in various negative impacts on patients. This study aims to identify the implementation of discharge planning in Room Tursina 3 of the Dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital in Banda Aceh. The research method used is SWOT analysis. The problem found is that the implementation of discharge planning is less than optimal. Results after conducting research on nursing management in Room Tursina 3 of Dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital, it can be concluded that: the assessment of discharge planning was conducted over two days. The assessment was carried out by collecting data through observation and interviews. After analyzing the data, the diagnosis was that the implementation of discharge planning in Room Tursina 3 of Dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital was not optimal. Zainoel Abidin Hospital. Therefore, to address this issue, an intervention involving knowledge dissemination will be implemented. It is hoped that this study can serve as a knowledge resource for Room Tursina 3 at Dr. Zainoel Abidin General Hospital in Banda Aceh regarding the implementation of discharge planning in the inpatient ward at the hospital.
