Abstract

Various learning methods have been developed and can be divided into two major groups, namely the method based Teacher Centered Learning or known as the traditional approaches and teaching methods are based on Student Centered otherwise known as innovative approaches (SPICES approaches). SPICES is an acronym of (1) Student-centered, (2) Problem-based, (3) Integrated, (4) Community-based (Consumer-based), (5) Elective; and (6) Systematic. SPICES can be viewed as an advanced learning concepts and innovative and able to cope with problems that arise in relation to student learning. This concept was initiated by Harden, et al in 1984 and is widely practiced and developed in medical education. Therefore, the researchers tried to initiate a study to obtain a mathematical learning model that effectively and efficiently. SPICES is considered by the researchers were able to bridge the problems faced by teachers in relation to the hang of students. The objective of this study is a class IX SMPN I Poncokusumo. Selection of study subjects based on criteria such as academic ability of students is heterogeneous, the son of a passive more than active in class, and the daily tests that the average is still below 6. Kata Kunci : Volume bola, Pendekatan pembelajaran spices

Abstract

Cognitive problems in children with autism involve teaching materials. Textbooks for autis children use the 2013 curriculum reference. In learning, teachers do not have special worksheets for autis children. The teacher uses textbooks for elementary school students. The teacher must copy the sheets in the textbook to be taught to autis children. Of course this is not effective and efficient. The implementation of this community service program is intended to help resolve partner issues. Servants deliver solutions to partners. The solution is in the form of providing learning materials for Student Worksheets that are appropriate to the cognitive needs of autis children. Worksheets contains a color drawing design to help facilitate the understanding of autis children. The combination of images and colors is intended to attract the attention of autis children, so autis children want to provide themselves for learning. This method of community service is carried out using collaborative methods with mentors. Implementation methods include preparation, implementation and evaluation of activities. In the preparation stage, the servant coordinates with the companion about the design of the student Worksheet. During the implementation phase, the servants with mentor joint compile the Student Worksheet. Servants carry out product validation to find out the level of feasibility. Furthermore, the service performs a trial using the Student Worksheet. The trial was carried out by observing the effectiveness and efficiency of the use of Student Worksheets in learning by a mentor. In the evaluation phase of the program implementation, the servant receives input and advice from the mentor to improve the Student Worksheet. Student Worksheets make it easy for facilitators to teach students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal lingkaran berdasarkan kategori Watson serta penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal lingkaran berdasarkan kategori Watson. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Al-Ihsan Turen tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan macam-macam kesalahan yang disebabkan: (i) dalam data tidak tepat, siswa belum memahami maksud serta penerapan konsep yang belum benar, (ii) dalam prosedur tidak tepat, siswa kurang teliti dalam melakukan operasi perkalian serta salah dalam prosedur pengerjaan, (iii) dalam data hilang, siswa mengabaikan salah satu tahap penyelesaian, (iv) dalam kesimpulan hilang, siswa belum mampu menyimpulkan hasil akhir, (v) dalam konflik level respon, siswa menuliskan jawaban dengan tidak menggunakan cara sesuai konsep yang benar, (vi) dalam masalah hirarki keterampilan, siswa belum mampu memanipulasi rumus dasar menjadi rumus yang diminta.

Abstract

Pembelajaran konvensional mengakibatkan peserta didik kurang memahami konsep dari suatu materi. Dengan model dan media pembelajaran yang tepat, guru dapat membantu peserta didik untuk memahami konsep serta langkah pengerjaan dari suatu materi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan prosedur pengembangan game berbasis penemuan terbimbing serta menghasilkan game yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu model pengembangan Plomp (1997). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan angket. Hasil penilaian kevalidan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media yakni diperoleh rata-rata 3,41 sehingga masuk dalam kategori valid. Hasil penilaian kepraktisan oleh ahli praktisi dan angket respons peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata 3,46 sehingga masuk dalam kategori praktis. Persentase rata-rata nilai hasil tes peserta didik menunjukkan 100% sehingga masuk dalam kategori efektif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, game pandora dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di sekolah karena sudah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran monopoli matematika berbasis komputer pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). Kegiatan pada tahap analisis berupa analisis kebutuhan, analisis kurikulum, dan analisis siswa. Tahap perancangan berisi kegiatan merancang kerangka dan sistematika permainan monopoli serta penyusunan instrumen penilaian permainan monopoli. Pada tahap pengembangan, kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pengembangan permainan monopoli sesuai dengan desain yang telah ditentukan pada tahap sebelumnya, evaluasi permainan monopoli oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Pada tahap implementasi berisi kegiatan uji coba kelompok kecil permainan monopoli dalam pembelajaran materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel pada kelas VIII salah satu Madrasah Tsanawiyah di Pasuruan Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kriteria valid dengan skor rata-rata 3,57 untuk ahli materi dan 3,71 untuk ahli media, kriteria praktis dengan skor rata-rata 3,60 oleh praktisi ahli dan 3,25 angket respon siswa, kriteria efektif dengan rata-rata skor ketuntasan hasil belajar 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, permainan monopoli dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di sekolah karena telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. This study aims to develop a computer-based mathematics monopoly learning media on the material of a two-variable linear equation system. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) model. Activities at the analysis stage are in the form of needs analysis, curriculum analysis, and student analysis. The design stage contains activities to design the framework and systematics of the monopoly game and the preparation of the monopoly game assessment instrument. At the development stage, the activities carried out were the development of a monopoly game according to the design determined in the previous stage, evaluation of the monopoly game by material experts and media experts. At the implementation stage, it contains a small group trial activity of the monopoly game in learning the material for a two-variable linear equation system in class VIII of one of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Pasuruan, East Java. The results showed valid criteria with an average score of 3.57 for material experts and 3.71 for media experts, practical criteria with an average score of 3.60 by expert practitioners and 3.25 student response questionnaires, effective criteria with an average score of 3. the average score for learning outcomes is 100%. Based on the results of the research, the game of monopoly can be used as a medium of learning in schools because it has met the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Penyelesaian masalah matematika di kelas khususnya barisan bilangan menunjukkan situasi yang tidak kreatif. Anak tidak mencari penyelesaian masalah, melainkan menghapal prosedur penyelesaian. Situasi ini menjadikan anak tidak dapat menunjukkan kreativitas penyelesaian masalah barisan bilangan. Ini berarti anak tidak mampu berpikir outside the box. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan berpikir outside the box mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah barisan bilangan. Prosedur pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode think alouds, wawancara, dan pengamatan. Adapun kegiatan analisis data kualitatif pada penelitian ini dilakukan secara bersamaan (simultan) dengan proses pengumpulan data, interpretasi, dan pelaporan hasil. Penyelesaian masalah oleh subyek penelitian diuraikan melalui sudut pandang transformasi dalam berpikir outside the box. Transformasi dalam berpikir outside the box diuraikan dengan menggunakan deskripsi 4 tahapan yaitu klarifikasi, inferensi, evaluasi, dan aplikasi. Penelitian ini penting bagi praktisi pendidikan untuk menjadikan berpikir outside the box sebagai input informasi tentang jenis karakteristik berpikir.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze errors by students in problem-solving of mathematical story based on Watson criteria. The subjects of this study were two high-ability students, two moderate-ability students, and two low-ability students. This study at class VII-C SMP NU Sunan Giri Kepanjen. The instruments used are written tests and interviews — the validity of the data checking by the triangulation of sources that compare test results and interview data. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The students' errors were analyzed using the Watson error category, which consisted of 8 errors. The results showed that based on Watson's error criteria, the mistakes that occurred were inaccurate data, improper procedures, skill hierarchy problems, missing data, nothing manipulation directly, conflict level response, missing conclusions and in addition to the seven categories. The results of this study are expected to be an input for the teacher about the types of student's errors at SMP Sunan Giri Kepanjen.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the steps of Group Investigation learning using suling media that can improve the learning outcomes of students. Group Investigation learning has six steps have identifying topics and organizing into groups, planning the investigation, carrying out the investigating, preparing the final report, presenting the final result, and evaluating. The research is a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of data used: data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. The validity of data is the perseverance of observer, triangulation, and peer inspection. This research can improve student learning outcomes. This result shows the percentage of student learning outcomes in the pra cycle amounting to 48% that has a rate of 75 and increased during the first cycle with 80%. The result of teacher observation is 89.28%, while the students’ is 78.57%. Based on the results of interviews conducted on four students who were the subject of interviews, one of which didn’t increase learning outcome, but liked suling media when interviewed.

Abstract

The community capacity building program in reducing disaster risk aims to realize the Bandung Rejo village as a disaster resilient village. Efforts made to achieve community capacity building include: (1) institutional aspects through the establishment of Disaster Risk Management forums (DRR) and Community Disaster Preparedness Teams (CDPT), (2) aspects of capacity building through dissemination and training in the preparation of disaster management plans and contingency plans , (3) aspects of the implementation of disaster management through a program to create a threat map and create disaster warning signs. The establishment of DRR and CDPT forums has a strategic role in minimizing disaster risk. The results achieved from the socialization and training were the availability of Bandung Rejo village disaster risk analysis document. The document can be a reference in making development policies in the village. Based on the results of the analysis conducted by the forum that Bandung Rejo village had a flood hazard level in the medium category. The results of identification and analysis obtained two flood-prone points that were able to reach agricultural land and facilities and infrastructure facilities. The implementation of community capacity building programs in Bandung Rejo village can provide stimulus to local governments and the public about the importance of disaster anticipation.
