Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop an Android-based interactive e-module with an ethnoscience approach at the Kenduri Sko traditional ceremony for the high school level. The method in this research is qualitative based on ethnography with qualitative descriptive data collection using the Miles and Huberman model. Interviews were conducted on key informants, namely community leaders, depatis, and prostitutes who were considered capable of providing accurate information. Validation is carried out by material experts, media experts and student responses to the e-modules that have been made. The results of validation by validation by material experts are valid with the average score of all aspects is 3.56 with a very good category. Validation by media experts is valid and feasible to use with an average score of all aspects is 3.47 with a very good category. The validation of student responses is also valid or feasible to use with an average score of 3.38 in the very good category.

Abstract

Desa memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam hal pemerataan pendidikan. Ketidakmerataan pendidikan adalah masalah utama pendidikan di Indonesia. Hampir semua proses pendidikan bergantung pada kemampuan literasi individu khususnya dalam kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berkomunikasi. Pengupayaan literasi sangat sulit dilakukan terutama di kawasan pedesaan yang terbatas dalam segi sarana dan prasarana. Saat ini desa-desa di Indonesia masih banyak memiliki warga yang kurang dalam daya minat baca atau literasi salah satunya adalah desa Sungai Dungun. Sebagai desa yang terletak sangat jauh dari pusat kota, desa ini mengalami banyak ketertinggalan terutama dalam hal Pendidikan. Dari tiga instansi pendidikan yang berada di sana, tidak ada satupun instansi yang memiliki perpustakaan sebagai tempat bagi para siswa untuk membaca dan mencari ilmu pengetahuan. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan rendahnya kemampuan literasi dasar dan literasi digital masyarakat Desa Sungai Dungun khususnya para remaja yang berada pada rentang sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama. Maka diperlukan suatu solusi berupa pemberdayaan masyarakat mengenai permasalahan tersebut. Adapun metode pengabdian ini terdiri atas observasi, wawancara, diskusi solusi, kesepakatan program, sosialisasi, implementasi, evaluasi dan monitoring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pengabdian masyarakat Taman Pustaka yang telah diimplementasikan di Desa Sungai Dungun telah memberikan berbagai manfaat bagi masyarakat di desa tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of the research conducted by the researcher was to find out how the description of students' science process skills in science subjects at SMPN 6 Batang Hari Jambi Regency. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in Batang Hari Regency, precisely at SMPN 6 Batang Hari. The subjects of this research were 134 students of class VIII. The instruments used in this study are: (1) Observation sheets, (2) open interviews. The results of observations and interviews show that the achievement of students' science process skills is still low, in general, which is related to teaching and learning activities carried out. This is due to several factors, including: Students are not required to be active in exploring their own knowledge in the learning process. The physics learning process rarely uses investigation and experiment activities. Learning activities carried out are mostly lectures by teachers to students
