Abstract

The rapid development of technology has brought significant changes in various fields, including education. Maths education, often considered a challenging subject, can now be transformed by the use of technology to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes. This research uses the literature review method to explore various studies and publications that discuss the role of technology in mathematics education. The results show that technology has a crucial role in the transformation of mathematics education. The use of visualisation software, educational apps and e-learning platforms has been shown to help students better understand abstract mathematical concepts. Technology also enables more adaptive and personalised learning, provides a variety of resources that can be accessed anytime and anywhere, and increases student engagement and motivation. The instant evaluation and feedback provided by technology helps students to immediately correct mistakes and understand the material more deeply. In addition, the integration of technology in mathematics learning also helps to improve students' digital skills, which is important for their future.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' mathematics skills through a literature review. PBL is a teaching method that places students at the centre of learning with an emphasis on solving contextual problems relevant to everyday life. The literature review showed that PBL can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts and develop their critical and creative thinking skills. In addition, this method also strengthens students' collaborative and communication skills through structural group work. However, the successful implementation of PBL is influenced by several factors, such as the availability of resources, teachers' skills in implementing PBL, and the support of the school environment. To optimise learning outcomes, training for teachers and full support from all parties involved in the education process are required. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for educators about the potential of PBL as an effective method in improving students' mathematics skills.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan merupakan salah satu tujuan utama dalam pembangunan sumber daya manusia. Salah satu upaya untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah melalui proses akreditasi, yang bertujuan untuk menilai kelayakan dan kinerja institusi pendidikan. Namun, masih banyak institusi pendidikan yang kurang memahami pentingnya akreditasi dan cara mempersiapkannya secara efektif. Di sisi lain, perkembangan teknologi, khususnya deep learning, menawarkan potensi besar untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses pendidikan. Artikel ini membahas kegiatan pengabdian yang menggabungkan pendekatan deep learning dengan sosialisasi akreditasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui dua metode utama, yaitu sosialisasi akreditasi dan pelatihan deep learning, yang ditujukan kepada dosen, tenaga kependidikan, dan mahasiswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang pentingnya akreditasi serta kemampuan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi deep learning untuk analisis data pendidikan. Evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam meningkatkan kesiapan institusi pendidikan menghadapi akreditasi dan memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendukung proses pendidikan.

Abstract

Pendidikan bermutu merupakan salah satu pilar utama dalam pembangunan sumber daya manusia yang unggul. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menyosialisasikan pendekatan deep learning (pembelajaran mendalam) dalam proses pembelajaran serta meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pentingnya akreditasi sekolah sebagai upaya menuju pendidikan yang berkualitas dan inklusif. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini, dilakukan sosialisasi kepada guru dan tenaga kependidikan di tingkat sekolah menengah. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan, workshop, dan pendampingan. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang penerapan deep learning dalam pembelajaran dan kesadaran akan pentingnya akreditasi sekolah. Diharapkan, kegiatan ini dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the use of epic pens in mathematics education 2 courses. The method of this research is quantitative descriptive. The subjects of this study are 26 students of the Elementary Education Study Program (PGSD) Semester five of the Open University. The instrument used was 8 questions. The results of the study obtained an average score on a scale of five, which was 4.37. These results when consulted with the Weighted Means Score (WMS) table in the range of 4.01 - 5.00 indicate a very effective category. So it can be concluded that the epic pen is very effective in the mathematics education course 2 PGSD semester five of the Open University. Keywords: Effectiveness, Epic Pen, Mathematics, Education. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pemanfaatan epic pen pada mata kuliah pendidikan matematika 2. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriftif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 26 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Dasar (PGSD) Semester lima Universitar Terbuka. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu 8 pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian perolehan skor rata-rata pada skala lima yaitu 4,37. Hasil tersebut jika dikonsultasikan dengan tabel Weighted Means Score (WMS) pada rentang 4,01 - 5,00 menunjukkan kategori sangat efektif. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa epic pen sangat efektif digunakan pada mata kuliah pendidikan matematika 2 PGSD semester lima Universitas Terbuka.
