Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity and mutual cooperation on lecturers' organizational commitment, as well as the role of mutual cooperation as a mediator of religiosity, and to assess the quality of the model formed. A quantitative research design with a survey method was used to collect data from 163 lecturers at 13 Health Sciences Colleges in Jakarta. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that mutual cooperation and religiosity have a significant direct influence on lecturers' organizational commitment. Additionally, religiosity also has an indirect effect through mutual cooperation. These findings underscore the importance of mutual cooperation in creating a harmonious work environment, supporting collaboration, facilitating professional growth, and building an inclusive organizational culture. The practical implications of this study suggest that higher education institution management can design programs to enhance lecturers' organizational commitment by focusing on mutual cooperation and religiosity.

Abstract

This article aims to present a comprehensive literature review on the factors that influence the enhancement of organizational commitment. Organizational commitment is an important aspect of human resource and organizational psychology research, as it has significant implications for individual performance, organizational sustainability, and the achievement of organizational goals. The literature review was conducted by analysing the findings of relevant previous studies so that it is possible to systematically identify and present the variables that influence increased organizational commitment. Previous research has provided valuable insights into the factors that influence the enhancement of organizational commitment. However, there is still room for further research to explore and clarify the relationship between these variables and organizational commitment. The proposed constellation model by including demographic factors as moderator variables is expected to be material for further research so that the influence of demographic factors as moderators between the independent variables and the organizational commitment variable can be known. The proposed proposition is that the relationship between the Independent Variables and organizational commitment is moderated by Demographic Factors..

Abstract

This research highlights the importance of lecturers’ work motivation in achieving the goals of higher education institutions. Lecturers with high work motivation tend to contribute more significantly to the success of the institution. This study identifies gotong royong, religiosity, and tolerance as the main determinants influencing lecturers’ work motivation. Through Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis, it was found that gotong royong and tolerance significantly affect lecturers’ work motivation, both directly and indirectly through tolerance as a mediator. However, religiosity did not show a significant impact on lecturers’ work motivation. The results of the Importance Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) indicate that gotong royong has the highest importance value in influencing lecturers’ work motivation, followed by tolerance, while tolerance showed the best performance in practice. The practical implications of these findings are that higher education management should pay more attention to strengthening the practices of gotong royong and tolerance to improve lecturers’ work motivation. Developing programs based on gotong royong and tolerance is expected to effectively enhance lecturers’ work motivation. This study also has limitations, such as the restricted generalizability of the results to institutions outside the Jakarta area and the possibility of other unidentified factors. Therefore, further research is necessary to expand the understanding of other variables affecting lecturers’ work motivation and to consider additional relevant variables.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has transformed higher education, leading to the adoption of blended learning—a combination of online and offline instruction. This study examines the impact of blended learning on learning motivation and identifies key motivational indicators for improvement. A quantitative survey was conducted with 115 fifth-semester students from the Informatics Engineering Study Program at Universitas Indraprasta PGRI, Jakarta. Data were collected using a validated and reliable five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) via SmartPLS software. Results indicate that blended learning has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation. IPMA findings indicate that “Flexibility of Time and Place” is the primary area for improvement, followed by Learning Interaction and Learning Effectiveness. At the same time, the Availability of Learning Facilities is a lower priority. Enhancing flexibility is expected to increase motivation substantially. These findings contribute to the development of student-centered learning models and offer practical guidance for educators and policymakers in designing more adaptive and engaging higher education learning environments.

Abstract

This study examines the discourse of digitalization within Indonesia’s Merdeka Belajar education reform through the lens of critical theory and postmodern philosophy. Using Critical Discourse Analysis on three key policy documents, the 2020–2035 Indonesian Education Roadmap, Ministerial Decree No. 56/2022, and the Merdeka Mengajar Platform Guide—the study uncovers underlying power dynamics and ideological assumptions embedded in the national digitalization agenda. The analysis identifies three dominant themes: (1) the hegemony of technological-efficiency narratives, reflected in notable lexical disparities (for example, “digital” appears far more frequently than “character” in the Roadmap); (2) disciplinary mechanisms enforced through legal obligations to access state-mandated digital platforms; and (3) an instrumental rationality that narrows education to the development of digital talent. The study concludes that digitalization in Merdeka Belajar is not merely a technological transition, but a contested arena where power relations shape and potentially marginalize humanistic educational values.
