Abstract

This community service targeted the youth audience, particularly the students of  Raudhatul Ulum Senior High School Sakatiga, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. This school was selected because Islamic Economics and Finance education has not been included in the learning curriculum, whereas it is located in a boarding school complex. Thus, the students have lack knowledge about Islamic Economics and Finance. The youth was targeted because they are a generation that is currently active, enthusiastic and productive. The aims of this community service is that local youth as agents of change can implement the principles and concepts of Islamic Economics in their daily life, family and community to build economic progress in their village. The methods used in the implementation of community service are socialization, education, and workshops. From the results of this community service activity, it can be concluded that the knowledge and interest of teenagers in Islamic Economics and Finance have increased significantly so that they can practice it in their various daily economic activities whilst conveying it to other people, to create a prosperous Islamic economic environment.

Abstract

Projects or programs made by the government, such as in overcoming morbidity and improving education, one of which is by spending and spending a budget on a program, this is done if it is right on target, it will have an impact on the wider economy and create a multiplier effect. This multiplier is of course economic because the health sector in many countries is the largest employment and economic sector but it is also social. Health programs have an impact on the educational objectives of the community and their level of 'social capital', among other things. South Sumatra Province, which has 17 regencies or cities which are believed to have a multiplier effect in shaping its economic growth on the government spending approach in the health sector and the level of public education, using the GLS panel data regression analysis technique and the best model chosen by the Common Effect Model (CEM) ). The results of this study indicate that the level of education has a significant positive effect on growth, while health spending has a negative relationship on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh dalam jangka pendek dan jangka panjang antara empat variabel makro yaitu: harga minyak dunia, harga emas dunia, kurs rupiah, dan inflasi terhadap Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data bulanan dari Januari 2011 hingga Desember 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Kointegrasi untuk melihat adanya indikasi hubungan jangka panjang dan Error Correction Model untuk melihat adanya hubungan jangka pendek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dalam jangka panjang terdapat pengaruh antara variabel harga minyak dunia, harga emas dunia, kurs rupiah, dan inflasi terhadap nilai JII. Hal ini membawa implikasi bahwa jangka panjang variabel makro dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi pergerakan nilai JII, dan dalam jangka pendek hanya variabel kurs rupiah yang mempengaruhi nilai JII. Hal ini membawa implikasi bahwa dalam jangka pendek variabel harga minyak dunia, harga emas dunia, dan inflasi bukan merupakan indikator yang baik untuk memprediksi pergerakan nilai JII, tetapi variabel kurs dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi pergerakan nilai JII dalam jangka pendek.

Abstract

This service was held to improve financial literacy in technology (fintech), finance, and understanding of capital market investment for educators at Dharma Bhakti Junior High School, Palembang City, South Sumatra. The target of this activity is as many as 33 teachers who participate in the training and counseling program which includes the provision of financial literacy materials, fintech, investment practices in the capital market, and at the end of the activity there is an evaluation through filling out a questionnaire. The methods used in this service include interactive education sessions, investment practices using simulation applications, and group discussions to deepen participants' understanding. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in the level of financial literacy, introduction to fintech, and the ability to invest in the capital market by educators. This service shows a better understanding of capital market concepts, investment risks, and diversification strategies, which are expected to be applied in daily life as well as disseminated to students and the community by educators. Thus, this program has succeeded in achieving its goal of empowering educators as agents of change in improving financial literacy and inclusion.
