Abstract

Swimming 100 meters freestyle could increase heart rate and blood pressure because the body needs to meet oxygen intake. Excessive increase in pulse rate could be harmful to health. This study aims to determine the difference in heart rate after swimming 100 meters freestyle, without manipulation, and after sports massage. This research was conducted using quantitative research methods in the form of comparative methods. Research data was collected through interviews and observations. The population in this study were students of the class of 2023 swimming course at the State University of Surabaya. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling with inclusion criteria, namely 1) Male; 2) Age between 19-24 years; 3) 3 days before did not act eccentric exercise; 4) Carrying out a 100-meter freestyle swim at the research location to obtain 30 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and recording the results of pulse measurements using a pulse meter. The results show that there is a difference in the decrease in heart rate between the first measurement without manipulation and the second measurement with sports massage manipulation. The test results state that there is a significant effect between exercise massage and a decrease in the pulse rate of athletes swimming in the 100-meter freestyle with a P-value of 0.001.

Abstract

A combination of therapies was needed to increase competence in learning for students with special needs. This research aimed to see the effectiveness of a combination of Al-Qur'an and Biomechanical therapy in increasing the competence of inclusive students. This research was conducted using quantitative descriptive methods at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Tulungagung. There were 32 students as respondents who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The data was collected from interviews and questionnaire responses. The main result of this research is an increase in the competence and quality of life of students with special needs. The conclusion is that there is an increase in the results of quantitative descriptive measurements of learning competence and quality of life after therapy compared to before therapy. These aspects include individuals' Attention to the surrounding environment increased (40.63%), being able to hear or respond when called (43,75%), and being able to carry out commands (78,13%).

Abstract

The total number of Tuberculosis cases in Prambon sub-district is 140 cases, Treatment Coverage (Tc-%) reaches 59.32%, and Tuberculosis Cases in Children 0-14 Years are 30 Children. The large number of TB children who have risk factors for growth retardation requires the role of health workers, cadres, and mothers of toddlers in recognizing TB symptoms and supporting the intake of nutritional intake. The aim of this activity is to increase the knowledge of health workers, cadres, and mothers of toddlers regarding childhood TB and its relationship to stunting through online education.  Initial activities were carried out by assessing participants' knowledge about Recognizing Childhood TB and its relationship to stunting through administering a pre-test before the educational session, followed by the delivery of instructional materials, and concluding with a post-test. The results of education for 41 participants showed that participants' knowledge increased by an average knowledge score of 8,97% after education. The results of educational activities recognizing childhood TB and its relationship to stunting. There was positive feedback and strong communication between the participants and presenters. Education on recognizing childhood TB led to a notable increase in participant knowledge and its relationship to stunting for participants. Keywords: children with Tuberculosis; nutritional intake; nutritional counseling; stunting.

Abstract

Introduction: From primary data, it was found that 65% of solid waste generation occurred in 12 hospitals in West Sumatra. "2,839 health facilities in West Sumatra, produced 1,899.15 tonnes of medical solid waste including hazardous and toxic materials (B3)," the government stated in March 2020. If nothing is done to address this poor waste management, it will negatively affect society. It is difficult for hospital managers to improve the waste processing system because the      stages or factors that have a significant impact on poor waste processing are unknown. Aims: This research aims to find an appropriate medical solid waste treatment model that can be used in hospitals by analyzing the stages and      factors involved in processing medical solid waste. Method: Structural Equation Modeling analysis was used in this cross-sectional research. The population      study was 12 hospitals and the research sample was taken by calculating Wayne      W. Daniel's formula to obtain 120 hospital waste treatment officers. This study started in September 2021 to March 2022. Primary data was collected by writing notes from observations by recording the results of observations, documentation, asking sources, and questionnaires filled out by waste managers and waste cleaning officers. Results: The research results show that of the 4 independent variables      influencing      medical solid waste processing, storage is the most dominant factor affecting waste     processing. Conclusion: Sorting and storage variables influence poor hospital waste management in West Sumatra.
