Abstract

This study aims to examine Quraish Shihab's thoughts on Islamic education in the family in the Tafsir Al-Misbah of Surah Al-Alaq verses 1-5 through Quraish Shihab's thoughts on Islamic education in the family in Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5 emphasizing the importance of reading, learning, and knowledge as a basis for character and moral formation in education. Quraish Shihab, through his interpretation, emphasizes the role of the family as the first and foremost educational institution in instilling religious and intellectual values. This study uses qualitative methods and the type of research used in is library research. With a descriptive-analytical approach to examine the interpretation and its relationship to education in the family. The results of the study indicate that Quraish Shihab's thoughts in the Tafsir Al-Misbah provide relevant guidance for the development of education based on Islamic values in the family, especially in the spiritual, intellectual, and moral development of children. So in this article it can be concluded that the role of the family as the first educational institution is highly emphasized, where parents are expected to be able to instill religious, spiritual, and intellectual values in children from an early age starting by teaching children to read and introducing Allah through the source of the Qur'an. This interpretation is relevant in the context of modern education to strengthen religious values and moral integrity in the family.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji konsep pengetahuan dan ukuran kebenaran dalam ilmu pengetahuan dari sudut pandang epistemologi, dengan tujuan memperdalam pemahaman akan hakikat pengetahuan dan kriteria kebenaran yang diterapkan dalam ilmu. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka atau library research, yang mencakup analisis literatur filosofis dan ilmiah terkait konsep dan teori pengetahuan. Dengan metode ini, makalah mengeksplorasi definisi pengetahuan sebagai hasil dari pengalaman dan pengamatan, membahas perbedaan antara pengetahuan ilmiah dan pengetahuan sehari-hari, serta memperkenalkan teori-teori utama dalam epistemologi: korespondensi, koherensi, dan pragmatisme, masing-masing dengan kriteria kebenarannya, yaitu kesesuaian dengan fakta, konsistensi internal, dan manfaat praktis. kajian ini meninjau metode verifikasi kebenaran yang lazim digunakan dalam ilmu pengetahuan, seperti verifikasi empiris, falsifikasi, dan pengujian logis, yang merupakan landasan dalam pengujian dan pembuktian kebenaran ilmiah. Di bagian akhir, makalah ini mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan tantangan dalam menentukan kebenaran ilmu, termasuk relativisme kebenaran, dampak perubahan paradigma ilmiah (berdasarkan teori revolusi ilmiah Thomas Kuhn), serta skeptisisme terhadap objektivitas pengetahuan dan tanggapan positivisme logis terhadap skeptisisme tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan pandangan yang lebih komprehensif tentang konstruksi pengetahuan dan ukuran kebenaran dalam ilmu pengetahuan, sehingga dapat memperkaya diskusi filosofis di bidang epistemologi dan memberikan perspektif lebih luas tentang bagaimana kebenaran ilmiah ditentukan dan dipahami.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of humanistic theory and its impact on cognitive, emotional, and spiritual aspects. Students feel happy and enthusiastic, take the initiative in learning, experience changes in mindset, behavior, and attitude of their own accord without pressure or coercion, and are helped to develop their potential to the fullest. The teacher acts as a facilitator who supports students in a meaningful learning process. The humanistic theory positions students as unique, active, and valuable individuals in the learning process. This research uses a qualitative library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach by collecting sources from various relevant books and articles. In Indonesia, learning objectives are determined by teachers based on established educational standards. For the methods and media to be used, they can be agreed upon by the teacher and the students. This approach also emphasizes the importance of creating an inclusive and empathetic learning environment, where students feel valued and accepted, and encourages them to internalize Islamic values in their daily lives. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of humanistic theory can enhance students' intrinsic motivation, deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings, and encourage them to apply these values in social and spiritual interactions.
