Abstract

This study aims to predict the number and growth rate of the female population in the Special Region of Yogyakarta for 2025, using the Leslie Matrix model. The matrix utilizes fertility rates and female life expectancy across different age intervals. The data used includes the female population from 2015 and 2020, alongside Age-Specific Fertility Rate (ASFR) data for the same period. By applying the dominant eigenvalue of the Leslie matrix, the study finds that the growth rate of the female population in Yogyakarta is projected to increase, with a dominant eigenvalue of 1.252. The female population is predicted to reach 2,409,852 by 2025, an increase from 1,983,800 in 2020. These findings are expected to inform population management and development planning in Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the ruin probability model in risk management in life insurance companies. The main focus of this study is to evaluate how factors such as initial surplus, premium revenue level, and claim frequency affect the ruin probability of insurance companies. Using the collective risk model approach and relevant claim distribution, this study develops two methods to calculate the ruin probability: an analytical approach and a Monte Carlo simulation. The simulation results show that increasing the initial surplus and premium level significantly reduces the ruin risk, while increasing the claim frequency increases the ruin probability. In addition, the gamma claim distribution is more suitable for modeling claims in life insurance than the exponential distribution. Model validation is carried out by comparing the prediction results with historical data of insurance companies, which shows a high level of accuracy. This study provides important insights for insurance companies in designing more effective and optimal risk management strategies.

Abstract

The Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) is a combinatorial optimization problem widely applied in logistics and supply chain management. It involves determining the optimal routes for a fleet of vehicles with limited capacity to serve a set of customers with specific demands while minimizing travel costs. This study compares the performance of two popular metaheuristic algorithms, Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), in solving the CVRP. The research implements both algorithms on standard benchmark datasets, evaluating solution accuracy and computational efficiency. Simulation results indicate that ACO tends to excel in finding high-quality solutions, particularly for problems with high complexity, whereas ABC demonstrates superior computational efficiency on small- to medium-scale datasets. A detailed analysis of algorithm parameters was also conducted to understand their impact on the performance of both methods. This study provides valuable insights into the strengths and limitations of each algorithm in the context of CVRP and paves the way for the development of hybrid approaches in the future.

Abstract

Language is a tool of social interaction or communication because humans are basically social creatures. Humans have spoken since birth, although only in the form of vague or unclear sounds, but still in the form of signs or symbols that emit sounds, therefore it is called baby speech. Children first learn a language by speaking simple spellings until they can speak it well, which is called mother tongue or first language. In general, parents often do not have a good way of control in the process of fostering their children to be able to speak and speak, thus making children easily close themselves and have difficulty communicating with speakers. The purpose of this article is to find out early childhood language acquisition at the phonological, semantic, and syntactic levels through psycholinguistic research using qualitative methods using data collection techniques that underlie language acquisition: Several hypotheses, such as 1) conscience hypothesis, 2) tabularasa hypothesis, 3) cognitive universality hypothesis. Whether or not a child is good at language, raises the question of how important the role of parents is in child development, and how it can be controlled to minimize language problems faced by children

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the digital economy on employment and workforce structure in Indonesia. The digital economy in Indonesia is growing rapidly, driven by e-commerce, digital financial services, app-based transportation, and artificial intelligence-based technology, with a projected contribution of more than USD 130 billion by 2025. Using a mixed-method approach, this study analyzed data from 200 respondents consisting of workers in the digital economy sector and traditional sectors affected by digitalization, as well as in-depth interviews with 15 representatives of workers, business actors, and policy makers. The results showed that 68% of respondents considered the digital economy to increase job opportunities, although 40% of respondents admitted that digitalization also caused job losses in certain sectors. Changes in the workforce structure are seen in the increasing need for technology skills (45%), digital marketing (35%), and digital business management (30%). The main challenges faced by workers include lack of digital skills (50%), uncertain income (40%), and lack of social security (35%). This study recommends strengthening digital skills training programs through collaboration between the government and the private sector, developing regulations for protecting digital workers, and increasing financial inclusion for digital economy workers. This study contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of workforce transformation in the digital era and provides strategic input for policymakers in managing the workforce transition towards an inclusive and sustainable digital economy.

Abstract

Deepfake technology has developed rapidly and has had a significant impact in various fields, including politics and national security. This study analyzes the legal implications of the use of deepfakes in politics in Indonesia, highlighting regulatory challenges, the effectiveness of technology detection, and its impact on public opinion. This study uses a mixed methods approach, combining literature analysis, case studies, interviews with legal and technology experts, and social media data analysis. The results show that the spread of deepfakes has increased sharply ahead of the 2024 General Election, especially on Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, contributing to disinformation and public polarization. Existing regulations, such as the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and the Criminal Code (KUHP), do not specifically regulate deepfakes, thus creating difficulties in law enforcement. In addition, existing detection technologies still face challenges in identifying increasingly sophisticated deepfake content. As a mitigation measure, this study recommends the formation of special regulations regarding deepfakes, improving detection technology through collaboration with the technology sector, increasing the capacity of law enforcement in digital forensics, and public education to improve digital literacy. It is hoped that these steps can reduce the negative impact of deepfake on democracy and national security stability in Indonesia.
