Abstract

Circular cylinder is one form of bluff body that is often used in engineering and industrial applications. The addition of a square placed in front of the circular cylinder aims to accelerate the flow from laminar to turbulent so that flow separation can be delayed more slowly so that the resulting pressure drag is smaller. The research method used was experimental using two circular cylinders arranged in tandem with a diameter (D) of 25 mm and variations in the distance between cylinders (L/D) 2;2,5;3;3,5;4 and two square-shaped square bodies (SDB) in front of each cylinder with dimensions of 4 mm. Position of SDB angle is 30o and the gap distance is 0.4 mm. The Reynolds number used is 2.3x104. This study aims to obtain the distribution of pressure coefficient (CP), drag pressure coefficient (CDP) and velocity profile behind the test specimen. The results showed that the addition of two square-shaped square bodies on each cylinder can reduce the drag force on the cylinder which causes a difference in values, where the largest pressure coefficient value occurs at a distance of L/D 4 with a value of -1.073 and the lowest value of drag pressure coefficient (CDP) at a distance of L/D 2 on the upstream cylinder with a value of 0.0786. While the downstream cylinder is located at a distance of L/D 3 with a value of -0.079 and the lowest speed value is located in the variation of L/D 4 with a value of 9.52 m/s.

Abstract

Salah satu potensi sektor pertanian di Desa Sembalun adalah bawang putih, daun bawang, bawang merah, kentang, tomat, dan wortel, dan tanaman strawberry serta kopi. Akan tetapi, dari banyaknya potensi pertanian tersebut, banyak masyarakat Desa Sembalun tidak terlalu memperhatikan berbagai tanaman jenis herbal dan media yang digunakan. Media yang digunakan oleh masyarakat Desa Sembalun masih sangat tradisional dan lokal. Sehingga, perlu ada inovasi dan pengenalan untuk menggunakan media yang berkonsep eco-green serta memanfaatkan potensi pertanian yang ada di Desa Sembalun. Teknik budidaya eco-green penting untuk diperkenalkan kepada masyarakat, karena memiliki nilai manfaat untuk kesehatan dan nilai jual yang cukup tinggi serta dapat memanfaatkan sampah plastik seperti botol plastik dan sisa-sisa kemasan plastik .Tanaman herbal Lemon balm dan peppermint dengan kandungan gizi dan senyawa yang terdapat di dalamnya dapat memberikan manfaat yang cukup besar bagi Kesehatan diantaranya lemon balm diketahui memiliki khasiat sebagai anti inflamasi di dalam tubuh. senyawa aktif dalam daun peppermint diketahui mampu membuat otot-otot tubuh lebih relaks, sehingga rasa nyeri akibat menstruasi bisa mereda. Oleh karenanya, teh lemon balm dan pepeermint merupakan produk utama kami yang mengedepankan konsep eco-green sebagai pengembangan pertanian yang maju dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in improving basic reading literacy skills among students at SDN Aimual. The subjects of this study were 10 students from grades 1 to 5. A qualitative approach was employed in this research. Data collection techniques included interviews and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, which involved the following steps: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the study show that the implementation of the TaRL (Teaching at The Right Level) approach proved effective in enhancing students' literacy skills at the school. Supporting factors such as school support, the quality of instruction, and the use of appropriate methods played a significant role in overcoming existing challenges.
