Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' strategies in handling slow learner students in Grade IV at SDN 2 Kuripan Selatan, It focuses on teachers' strategies in classroom management, motivating slow learners, and treating slow learners in the classroom. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study are the fourth-grade teacher and two slow learner students. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that teachers use the following strategies to handle slow learners: 1) classroom management strategies, which involve arranging the seating position of slow learners. Their seats remain unchanged and are always placed in the back row. The teaching methods commonly used for slow learners include lectures, demonstrations, question and answer sessions, and assignments. Teachers utilize learning media such as laptops and LCD projectors to display power point presentations or educational videos in the form of cartoons, animations, and colorful images. 2) strategies to motivate slow learners, including providing various forms of emotional support, such as praise, applause, and positive affirmations. 3) strategies for treating slow learners, which involve giving special treatment such as repeating learning materials, using easily understandable language, guiding students in completing assignments, and providing additional time to complete tasks.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media jam sudut di kelas 3 SDN 15 Mataram. Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) ini merupakan sebuah model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik dengan cara menghadapkan para peserta didik dengan berbagai masalah yang dihadapi dalam kehidupan nyata dan peserta didik mencoba untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindikan Kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Model pembelajaran ini dilaksanakan dengan Menyusun perangkat pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL), melaksanakan pembelajaran, melakukan tes evaluasi hasil belajar. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 37,5% yaitu 50% pada siklus 1 dan meningkat 87,5% pada siklus 2. Oleh karena itu, model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) disarankan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Keywords: Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, Hasil Belajar Matematika

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran monopoli berbasis kearifan lokal sasak yang valid dan praktis pada pembelajaran IPAS kelas IV di SDN 40 Cakranegara. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE analyze (analisis), design (desain), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi), dan evaluation (evaluasi). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan angket. Teknik analisi data menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan media pembelajaan monopoli berbasis kearifan lokal sasak dari ahli media dan ahli materi dengan kriteria sangat valid dengan presentase ahli media 89% dan ahli materi dengan presentase 93% dan pada uji kelompok kecil dan uji kelompok besar dengan kriteria sangat praktis dengan presentase kelompok kecil 94% dan kelompok besar 91%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran monopoli berbasis kearifan lokal sasak pada pembelajaran IPAS kelas IV yang diperoleh maka media pembelajaran monopoli berbasis kearifan lokal sasak dapat dinyatakan telah valid dan praktis. Media pembelajaran monopoli ini didesain dengan beranekaragam gambar kearifan lokal suku sasak dan dengan bahan yang praktis sehingga dapat mudah untuk dipindah – pindahkan sehingga pada proses pembelajaran dapat memudaahkan guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Alasan pemilihan permainan monopoli dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran yakni petak permainan dapat digunakan beberapa kali, persiapan saat proses pembelajaran lebih efektif, dan media mudah dimaninkan.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistently low critical thinking skills observed among fifth-grade students in IPAS (Science, Social, and Cultural Studies) at SDN 32 Cakranegara. This problem largely stems from teachers' frequent reliance on conventional, teacher-centered learning models. The research aimed to investigate the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade IPAS students at SDN 32 Cakranegara. This study utilized an experimental approach with a Quasi-Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of 60 fifth-grade students from SDN 32 Cakranegara, with 30 students in the experimental group and 30 in the control group. Data were collected using observation and tests specifically designed to measure students' critical thinking skills in IPAS. Research instruments underwent validity and reliability tests. Data collection techniques included observation sheets and critical thinking skills tests in the form of essays. Normality, homogeneity, hypothesis, and effect size tests were conducted. The hypothesis testing, performed using an independent samples t-test, yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 ≤ 0.05. This result indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, demonstrating a significant influence of the Problem-Based Learning model on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade IPAS students at SDN 32 Cakranegara. Therefore, the PBL learning model is recommended for implementation to measure and enhance critical thinking skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character education values embedded in Banyumulek pottery of Lombok from the perspective of the Pancasila Student Profile and Ethnopedagogy. This research adopts a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through relevant literature reviews, observation and interviews. Data analysis employed a inductive-deductive approach. In general, an inductive approach was employed to address the research objectives by interpreting the data and explaining the findings through existing theories and literature; specifically, a deductive approach was utilized to outline the six-dimensional theory and validate its application to Banyumulek pottery. The findings reveal that six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile are reflected in Banyumulek pottery of Lombok, namely: 1) The Faith dimension, demonstrated through the belanger stage, obedience to Allah SWT.; 2) The Global Diversity dimension, expressed through mutual respect; 3) The Mutual Cooperation dimension, evident in the spirit of helping one anothers; 4) The Independence dimension, reflected in the self-reliance of artisans in creating pottery; 5) The Critical Reasoning dimension, indicated by the persistence in preserving pottery; and 6) The Creativity dimension, seen in the efforts to innovate by creating new pottery designs. This study offers a connection between traditional crafts and the framework of modern education.

Abstract

Kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran matematika, khususnya materi Faktor Persekutuan Terbesar (FPB) dan Kelipatan Persekutuan Terkecil (KPK), di kelas V SDN 3 Terong Tawah menyebabkan rendahnya interaksi dan keterbatasan sumber belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kevalidan dan kepraktisan media pembelajaran Congklak pada materi FPB dan KPK bagi siswa kelas V SDN 3 Terong Tawah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Development, dan Disseminate). Subjek penelitian adalah 15 siswa kelas V SDN 3 Terong Tawah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket validasi ahli serta respons guru dan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran Congklak sangat layak dan praktis untuk digunakan. Hasil validasi ahli memperoleh persentase kelayakan 95% (ahli media) dan 95% (ahli materi), keduanya dalam kategori "Sangat Layak". Sementara itu, hasil praktikalitas menunjukkan persentase 87.5% (respons guru) dan 90.91% (respons peserta didik), keduanya dikategorikan "Sangat Praktis". Kesimpulan dari temuan ini adalah media pembelajaran Congklak efektif menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan kontekstual, sehingga meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa dalam memahami konsep FPB dan KPK. Media ini direkomendasikan sebagai sumber belajar yang efektif untuk diterapkan lebih luas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in improving basic reading literacy skills among students at SDN Aimual. The subjects of this study were 10 students from grades 1 to 5. A qualitative approach was employed in this research. Data collection techniques included interviews and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, which involved the following steps: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the study show that the implementation of the TaRL (Teaching at The Right Level) approach proved effective in enhancing students' literacy skills at the school. Supporting factors such as school support, the quality of instruction, and the use of appropriate methods played a significant role in overcoming existing challenges.
