Abstract

This study examines strategic policy initiatives to advance tourism and the creative economy in DKI Jakarta by integrating global best practices with Jakarta’s unique urban dynamics. Employing a qualitative-conceptual approach and global benchmarking, the research identifies how leading cities have successfully balanced visitor growth, creative sector development, and sustainability, and adapts these lessons to Jakarta’s context. The findings reveal Jakarta’s creative economy is vibrant and economically significant, yet its growth is hindered by uneven benefit distribution, fragmented governance, and infrastructure constraints. The article’s novelty lies in its context-sensitive framework that tailors international strategies—such as green infrastructure, digital innovation, and inclusive creative hubs—to Jakarta’s socio-economic and institutional realities, offering actionable pathways rarely addressed in existing literature. Key recommendations for policymakers include: (1) prioritizing sustainability through climate-adaptive infrastructure and environmental monitoring; (2) accelerating digital transformation to enhance visitor experiences and support creative entrepreneurs; and (3) fostering inclusive governance that equitably distributes tourism and creative economy benefits, especially to local communities. These focused policy directions are designed to boost Jakarta’s global competitiveness, resilience, and inclusivity in the tourism and creative sectors.

Abstract

This study examines the quality and development of human resources (HR) in the tourism sector of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia, an emerging destination with significant natural and cultural assets but persistent workforce challenges. Using a mixed-methods approach across five key destinations—Komodo, Kelimutu, Alor, Rote, and Sumba—the research assesses HR competencies, certification, training access, digital and language skills, and stakeholder collaboration. Findings reveal that fewer than 13% of tourism workers hold industry-recognized certifications, vocational training is unevenly distributed, and digital and language skills remain limited, particularly in rural and remote areas. Socio-cultural barriers, fragmented stakeholder collaboration, and infrastructural constraints further hinder effective HR development. The study highlights the need for context-specific strategies, including localized vocational curricula, subsidized and mobile certification programs, digital upskilling, and inclusive, multi-stakeholder governance frameworks. Real-life examples from Komodo National Park and Bali’s community-based tourism illustrate both the potential and challenges of integrated HR development. Recommendations emphasize reforming education and training, expanding certification, fostering digital literacy, and strengthening institutional collaboration to build a competitive and sustainable tourism workforce in NTT. The research provides actionable insights for policymakers and stakeholders aiming to elevate NTT’s tourism sector through targeted human capital enhancement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku konsumen dalam pengambilan keputusan pembelian dan tingkat kepuasan pelanggan di Djenak Dine and Chill Restaurant Klaten. Studi ini mengidentifikasi karakteristik demografi dan psikografi konsumen, serta menilai tingkat kepentingan dan kinerja atribut produk dan layanan seperti rasa makanan, porsi, kehalalan, harga, keragaman menu, kecepatan pelayanan, penanganan keluhan, dan kenyamanan restoran. Data diperoleh melalui kuisioner dan wawancara mendalam dengan pelanggan yang telah berkunjung minimal dua kali serta pengelola restoran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rasa makanan dan porsi merupakan faktor utama dalam keputusan pembelian, sementara pelayanan dan kebersihan memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Penanganan keluhan dan area parkir masih memerlukan peningkatan untuk memaksimalkan pengalaman pelanggan. Studi ini mengimplikasikan pentingnya pengelolaan kualitas produk dan layanan secara konsisten untuk mempertahankan loyalitas pelanggan dan daya saing restoran. Rekomendasi strategis untuk pengelola meliputi peningkatan kualitas rasa, pelatihan staf layanan, serta pengembangan program promosi dan perbaikan fasilitas. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberi kontribusi komprehensif bagi pengembangan bisnis restoran yang berorientasi pada konsumen di pasar lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Ketersediaan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dan Fasilitas Penunjang terhadap Produktivitas Penanganan Kargo di Terminal Kargo Bandara Internasional Yogyakarta (YIA). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada seluruh karyawan terminal kargo sebanyak 44 orang, menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel, yaitu Ketersediaan SDM dan Fasilitas Penunjang, berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas penanganan kargo, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Fasilitas Penunjang memberikan pengaruh yang lebih dominan dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,885, dibandingkan SDM sebesar 0,311. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan efisiensi operasional tidak hanya membutuhkan penambahan jumlah tenaga kerja, tetapi juga pengadaan fasilitas yang sesuai standar internasional, seperti ruang pendingin (cold storage). Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas SDM, pengembangan fasilitas strategis, serta penerapan sistem pemantauan kinerja secara berkala guna mendukung produktivitas terminal secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This article investigates the role of public relations in building the image of Mirah Bogor Hotel. Using a qualitative descriptive research method, the study found that effective public relations strategies include promotion, events, collaboration with media, and the use of social media. The research also highlighted that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a crucial strategy in building a positive hotel image. The challenges faced by hotels in building a positive image include communication crises, societal changes, and industry competition. The study's conclusion emphasizes the significant role of public relations in building and maintaining a positive hotel image. Recommendations for public relations practitioners include improving service quality and facilities, and being prepared to handle crises. This article comprehensively discusses the role of public relations in building hotel images, as well as the strategies and challenges faced by Mirah Bogor Hotel.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the student service system at the Lentera Mondial College of Tourism and Logistics Management using qualitative methods and SWOT analysis. This research identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to improve student satisfaction and academic experience. Key findings include comprehensive academic support, technology integration, culturally responsive services, and alignment with industry. However, there are limitations in accessibility, communication gaps, resource constraints, and obstacles in seeking support. Recommendations include digital bridges, strengthening communications, and optimizing resource allocation to improve student services and overall satisfaction.

Abstract

In this study, it was discussed about the role of sharia tourism as a means of Indonesian public diplomacy to increase the number of tourist visits and the regional economy, especially in Bandung City which is a sharia tourist destination. The research method used is qualitative with an approach to the concept of public diplomacy and Islamic tourism. The results showed that Indonesia's public diplomacy efforts in promoting itself as a sharia tourist destination have succeeded in attracting foreign tourists, especially Muslim tourists, as well as investment. In addition, sharia tourism has also experienced a positive increase, so that the increase in the number of tourist visits and investment can be used to develop the regional economy, especially in Bandung City as a sharia tourist destination

Abstract

This study examines the influence of e-service quality and information quality on student satisfaction at Lemondial Business School, focusing on The Genius portal. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 80 students through a structured questionnaire. Results indicate significant positive correlations between e-service quality (r = .732) and information quality (r = .785) with student satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis reveals both e-service quality and information quality as significant predictors of student satisfaction, with coefficients of 0.452 and 0.578, respectively. Qualitative insights highlight the importance of responsiveness and accurate information. Recommendations include enhancing staff training, implementing systematic content reviews, and establishing feedback mechanisms to improve digital learning environments. This research contributes to understanding these relationships in an Indonesian higher education context.
