Abstract

Belajar sejarah di Indonesia mengalami berbagai dinamika. Materi sejarah yang dibuat membosankan, siswa tidak termotivasi untuk belajar sejarah karena kondisi diskriminasi dalam hirarki pengetahuan, dan lain-lain. Pada tahun 2013, Pemerintah Indonesia meluncurkan kurikulum baru. Kurikulum ini menekankan pengembangan pemikiran kritis - kreatif dan inovatif bagi peserta didik. Tujuan kurikulum baru adalah mendorong guru sejarah menjadi kreatif. Tulisan ini mencoba memusatkan perhatian pada dua tokoh intelektual dalam sejarah Indonesia dan India. Ada Ki Hadjar Dewantara dan Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Nilai-nilai kebijaksanaan budaya Dewantara dan Gandhi berikut dapat diaktualisasikan dalam sejarah. Pendidik histoical dapat memberikan ruang yang lebih luas bagi siswa untuk menciptakan materi sejarah. Penerapan berbasis ilmiah pada tahun 2013 kurikulum yang akan memberikan ruang yang tepat untuk diimplementasikan. Diantaranya dengan berbagai cara seperti membentuk ruang diskusi, membuat media elektronik, menciptakan sebuah komunitas, sekelompok penggemar sejarah, menulis sebuah sejarah gerakan, mengadakan program karakter camp yang bertemakan dan berinteraksi dengan masyarakat, atau berbagai tindakan yang mampu mengobarkan semangat siswa.

Abstract

Hasil kebudayaan dan benda cagar budaya sebagai atraksi wisata telah banyak menarik wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke tempat itu. Benda Cagar Budaya yang banyak dikunjungi wisatawan antara lain berupa candi dan situs sejarah. Di kawasan wisata dusun Ceto, candi dan situs sejarah menjadi tujuan utama wisatawan berkunjung ke Dusun Ceto. Namun ada kekhawatiran, dari beberapa warga apabila kawasan ini nanti “dijajah” dan tergerus arus modernisasi yang dibawa wisatawan sehingga masyarakat tidak lagi melestarikan peninggalan sejarah dan budaya yang menjadi warisan leluhurnya. Untuk itu perlu ada peranserta dari warga masyarakat dalam melaksanakan program konservasi di kawasan wisata Dusun Ceto. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk peran serta masyarakat di kawasan wisata Dusun Ceto dalam upaya melestarikan kebudayaan dan BCB di dusun Ceto. Adapun manfaat dari penelitian ini berfungsi sebagai pemberdayaan masyarakat yang memiliki kepedulian atas peninggalan sejarah dan warisan budaya yang harus dilestarikan. Metode penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi – partisipasi, survei untuk wisatawan, studi banding ke desa wisata, dan pendampingan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peranserta masyarakat di kawasan wisata Dusun Ceto memiliki kepedulian yang tinggi dan berperan aktif dalam menjaga dan melestarikan peninggalan sejarah dan budayanya. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui kegiatan kerja bakti setiap hari Minggu di situs sejarah, pertemuan rutin, menghidupkan kesenian karawitan, dan mengadakan pasraman.

Abstract

Ecotourism is not the matter of ecology and economics, but also the evaluation and opinions from society. That means it suppose to be managed by them which is starting from the planning, implementation, and benefit of it. The popularity of Cetho village society who live around the Cetho Temple seem are unprofitable by the exotic of that temple. The exotic of the temple indeed hasbeen a big attraction for the domestic and foreign tourists. As a matter of fact that is interesting to be observed. Therefore, the problem is to be observed in this research is what are the potential resources of socio-culture in Cetho village, and how the Government and Tourism Organization Motivator have made the potential resources from this society. The result of this research that 1)Beganjuran Art (the Balinese instrument in procession the Balinese dance in the Hinduism ritual)in Cetho Temple, the story and legend of Cetho Hinduism was the ancestor of Balinese Hinduism People. 2) The ritual of voluntary collective work or mutual aid every Sunday morning is a solidarity among them. 3) Cetho people say, the contribution for them which is done by the Goverment not yet maximal. According to the Tourism Service of Karanganyar Regency, the contribution has been given only for facility and in helping to propagate the potency of society. If the tourism activity will be used of course that very depends to the budget plan from central government, such as through the tourism PNPM programme.

Abstract

Nugroho Notosusanto merekomendasikan agar siswa SMP melakukan “exkursi” ke tempat bersejarah di daerah masing-masing. Sejarah perlu dikisahkan dengan cara yang “hidup” dan “menarik”. Metode penelitian dilaksanakan dengan cara menentukan topik “exkursi”, kemudian menelusuri sumber primer dan sekunder, mengkritik data untuk memperoleh validitas. Semua sumber sejarah diinterpretasi lalu ditulis sebagai historiografi. Hasil riset menunjukkan sejarah merupakan alat penting untuk memperkuat spirit nasionalisme dan patriotisme. Konsep “exkursi” yang diperkenalkan Nugroho Notosusanto semasa Orde Baru, belum tuntas didefinisikan. Seolah kandas tak berbekas, namun jejaknya masih terlacak. Perlu ada keberanian dari masyarakat akademik (sejarawan) untuk menelaah ulang konsep “exkursi” kemudian dipertimbangkan untuk mengaktifkannya lagi.

Abstract

The Cetho people who live on the slopes of Mount Lawu Karanganyar, have images and cultural narratives. Historical social reality is represented through temple artifacts, house architecture, community service activities, social gathering, etc. This article is a description of the imagination and cultural narratives of the people in the form of oral and written. The results of the culture are packaged in the form of historiography. This article uses qualitative research methods with a cultural history approach. Research, observation and assistance have been carried out since 2011 to 2017. Literacy culture has not been implemented based on standard needs. Therefore, historiographic production is still minimal. The Cetho temple community creates more oral culture. The cultural literacy movement launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2017 has not been fully appreciated. Academics hold a “Live in” program to improve literacy culture. Students write historiography during the “Live in” program in the Cetho temple area. Collaboration and synergy between the community, schools, local government officials, and academics is useful to open opportunities for local cultural literacy education in the national interest.

Abstract

This research aim to study the benefit of Social Science lesson, especially the History Subject, in grade VIII of SMP Kristen Satya Wacana. The background of the problem is the concern toward nowdays situation. Indonesian people have the ability to create high national cultur that born from the idea and creation of various ethnics. In this milenial era, the junior high school students are supposed to be ready to face the technology that growing rapidly. The data of the research are obtained from mix method. The sampling technique are Saturated Sampling and Purposive Sampling. This research shows that student apply positive values that given by the History teacher. This value are: tolerance (88,5%), religious (88%), well mannered (85%), appreciating others’ opinion (84,6%), and honesty (83%). Based on the observation, researcher found that students apply the moral values very well. The History learning is beneficial in motivating the character building.

Abstract

Cetho Temple area has many historical sites that have not been documented. Because the location and existence of the site spreads in various places and is difficult to reach by the community. RECO Community have cares about these sites. This community was built 2016 and numbered 18 people. They believe  historical sites should be cared for and protected. The wishes of the community are in line with the program of the community service from the History Education  and Civic Education Course. The purpose of the community service program is for the community to document historical sites in the Cetho Temple Area through activities they have the knowledge and skills to document cultural heritage in the area. The method is to introduce equipment for historical site documentation, exercise, practice, mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that RECO Community could use them to document historical sites.

Abstract

Atmosfer politik yang berlangsung di sekitar tahun 1996 – 2001 berpengaruh hingga tingkat cabang. Hal tersebut dialami oleh Partai Demokrasi Indonesia (PDI) yang kemudian dikenal dengan nama Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP). Apa yang dilakukan oleh para kader PDI di tingkat pusat membawa dampak bagi dinamika yang terjadi di tingkat bawah, khususnya di wilayah Kecamatan Bawen. Para kader PDI Bawen selalu menyesuaikan diri terhadap kondisi politik yang terjadi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dinamika politik PDIP Kecamatan Bawen tahun 1996-2001 dan sikap para kader PDIP Kecamatan Bawen ketika menghadapi permasalahan politik yang terjadi di tahun 1996-2001. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) dinamika pengkaderan anggota PDIP cabang Bawen penuh tantangan, sikap dan semangat para kader sangat penting dalam praktik berorganisasi; 2) proses pengkaderan dilakukan melalui inisiatif kader cabang Bawen sendiri; dan 3) sejarah dan dinamika pengkaderan di PDI Bawen bermanfaat sebagai pengetahuan pelengkap bagi pelajaran sejarah di SMA.

Abstract

Abstract. Social Studies lessons for grade three at Satya Wacana Christian Laboratory Elementary School still used the leaturing method or telling method. In another context, the lecturing method is considered less innovative. However, through this research it was found that social studies knowledge, teachers and students were open to the use of puzzles as an innovative tool in understanding elementary social studies material with the theme “Stories from my Hometown”. Puzzle with picture symbols of sports figures from Salatiga city were effective for students to practice when understanding the characters and characteristics in their immediate environment. This research used qualitative methods to obtain data. The research was also conducted using ethnographic methodology to read the classroom culture. The results showed that the use of puzzle media in the social studies learning process in class IIIB of Satya Wacana Christian Elementary School successfully showed its benefits to provide enthusiasm in receiving knowledge and creating critical behavior of students at the elementary school level. Social studies teachers using innovative methods in the form of puzzles results in positive results in the learning process. Students are motivated after learning social studies using visual media in the form of pictures of sports figures from Salatiga city. Students are also inspired to prepare themselves to become important and successful figures in the future so that they can have an impact on introducing the culture of their city to the world. Based on this reflection,   it can be concluded that puzzles are useful for bringing innovation to social studies learning in elementary schools.
