Abstract

This study investigates the intricate relationships among team dynamics, employee performance, and well-being in the context of a hybrid work environment, with a specific focus on PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk. Utilizing path analysis, the study explores both direct and indirect effects to unveil the dynamics shaping organizational practices related to hybrid work. The research reveals a significant direct impact of individual employee performance on both team dynamics and the establishment of a hybrid work environment. Team dynamics are identified as a crucial mediator, emphasizing their pivotal role in translating individual contributions into organizational strategies for hybrid work adaptation. However, the study finds that the direct influence of employee well-being on team dynamics and subsequently on the hybrid work environment may not be statistically significant. These findings offer nuanced insights for organizations aiming to optimize their work environment, suggesting tailored strategies to leverage team dynamics and individual performance for successful hybrid work implementation while considering the multifaceted nature of employee well-being.

Abstract

Gig economy continues to expand rapidly, reshaping employment patterns among young generations, particularly Generation Z raised in digital environments. This study investigates the effects of digital literacy, self-efficacy, and career orientation on university students’ readiness for the gig economy. A quantitative approach was employed involving 227 Generation Z students from Universitas Sriwijaya. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The measurement model demonstrated strong validity and reliability, with factor loadings above 0.70, AVE values exceeding 0.50, and composite reliability above 0.90. The structural model showed substantial explanatory power (R² = 0.639; Q² = 0.403). Self-efficacy (β = 0.356) and career orientation (β = 0.358) emerged as the strongest predictors, while digital literacy also had a significant effect (β = 0.195). These findings highlight that gig economy readiness is shaped by the integration of digital competence, psychological capacity, and career clarity, underscoring the importance of strengthening digital literacy, self-efficacy development, and career planning services in higher education.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of Human Resource Management toward the Human Resources 5.0 paradigm in the context of artificial intelligence adoption. The paper aims to analyze how AI-driven technologies reshape HR functions, managerial practices, and economic value creation while maintaining a human-centered orientation. Using a qualitative conceptual research design, the study relies on secondary data derived from peer-reviewed journal articles, scholarly books, and institutional reports related to artificial intelligence, digital HRM, and organizational performance. The collected data are analyzed through thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns concerning HR performance outcomes, managerial and economic implications, ethical challenges, and strategic alignment. The results indicate that artificial intelligence enhances HR efficiency, decision accuracy, and strategic workforce alignment when integrated within HR 5.0 principles. AI adoption also contributes to cost efficiency and optimized human capital utilization, while introducing challenges related to data privacy, algorithmic bias, and organizational readiness. The study concludes that HR 5.0 represents a holistic transformation that requires balancing technological innovation with ethical governance, managerial capability, and human-centered management. These findings provide conceptual insights for organizations seeking sustainable and responsible HR transformation in the digital era.
