Abstract

This research was conducted to provide insight into gender awareness in education. Particularly in the context of Indonesian language learning in primary schools. Through investigating the perspectives of parents, teachers and students as well as the practice of learning Indonesian in the classroom using non-discriminatory materials and learning environments without gender boundaries, this research seeks to contribute to building a more inclusive gender awareness in the educational environment. Survey, interview and observation methods of parents, teachers and grade 3 students were used to provide a comprehensive view of the understanding of gender awareness. The results show that although there is support for the concept of gender equality, parents' and teachers' understanding is still limited. Teachers do not fully understand the importance of gender awareness in learning. This issue is seen as not affecting inclusive learning. In fact, gender awareness is one part of it and teachers have a major role in building this perspective. Synergy is needed to improve parents', teachers' and students' understanding of gender issues in education. Teacher training and professional development, integration of gender equality values in the curriculum, and inclusive education for students can be the next steps to strengthen gender equality in education. Thus, this research provides new insights and contributions to advance gender awareness as a form of creating an inclusive learning environment, especially in primary schools.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are needed by students in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools as a provision in solving problems in their lives later. This study aims to provide knowledge to educators and other researchers about the current conditions related to critical thinking skills possessed by grade VI students in elementary schools in Indonesian language learning in terms of assessment instruments adapted from AKM literacy questions. This study uses a quantitative design used to measure the extent of critical thinking skills in the form of literacy test questions adapted from AKM questions and then modified so that they contain indicators of critical thinking skills and indicators of AKM literacy questions. And qualitative design to process data from ethnographic studies through analysis of interviews and observations used to explore the causes of low critical thinking skills. The results showed that critical thinking skills in grade VI students were still in sufficient criteria. Of the six FRISCO critical thinking skills indicators, only the focus, inference, and sittuation indicators are included in the good criteria and the reason, clarity, and overview indicators are still included in the sufficient criteria, so that the final average of the six critical thinking skills indicators is included in the sufficient criteria. This is due to students reading the question no matter what. This is because students read the questions incompletely so that they do not understand the questions asked. The length of the reading contained in the story causes learners to find it difficult to find information that is really important. Learners only focus on the first sentence in each paragraph with the aim that the question can be done quickly. Therefore, it is necessary to familiarize Indonesian language learning using assessment instruments based on AKM literacy questions so that students are accustomed to thinking critically.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pentingnya menciptakan pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang mencakup pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kebajikan warga negara. Selama ini, Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan cenderung berpusat pada guru dengan metode ceramah yang hanya menyampaikan teori tanpa melibatkan pengalaman langsung siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyajikan informasi tentang perlunya integrasi pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kebajikan dalam pembelajaran kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan mengkaji berbagai artikel jurnal ilmiah terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang efektif dapat diwujudkan melalui model discovery learning, cooperative learning, dan pendekatan aktif Partisipatori. Pendekatan aktif Partisipatori dianggap paling efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan mampu mengembangkan kompetensi warga negara yang diharapkan.

Abstract

Mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang memuat keterampilan membaca intensif, berpikir kritis, dan analitis dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar bukanlah hal yang mudah, hal tersebut diakibatkan karena peserta didik umumnya belum terbiasa membaca teks panjang secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya pengembangan LKPD yang terintegrasi dengan kegiatan membaca intensif dan berpikir kritis melalui metode studi pustaka terhadap jurnal dan buku relevan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber literatur berupa jurnal ilmiah dan buku yang relevan dengan judul penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan teoritis yang kuat antara membaca intensif dan keterampilan berpikir kritis, yang dapat diperkuat melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini menawarkan novelty berupa konsep integratif LKPD MIKA (Membaca Intensif Kritis dan Analitis) yang mengaitkan sintaks PBL dengan indikator berpikir kritis FRISCO sebagai inovasi dalam desain pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Implikasinya, konsep ini berpotensi menjadi acuan praktis bagi guru SD dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dan mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih mendalam dan bermakna di tingkat pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Sundanese as the language of instruction in West Java is less well known by students. This study aims to develop a canva-assisted e-book that contains Sundanese typical kadaharan material in Sundanese language and literature learning (PBSS). This research uses a development research method with the ADDIE model. In this article, all stages of ADDIE are discussed from analysis to evaluation. E-book development is validated by media and material expert validators to improve features that are still lacking using a validation questionnaire instrument. Furthermore, the e-book was tested on 27 students in class VI at an elementary school in Banjar City, West Java. Based on the data from the expert validation results, it was found that this e-book met the “Very Good” category (95%). Based on the results of interviews, students find it easy to access e-books so that they can understand the material which can ultimately achieve learning objectives. The implication of this research is that the use of e-books developed with the help of Canva is an innovation in introducing local languages and cultures.Bahasa Sunda sebagai bahasa pengantar di Jawa Barat kurang dikenal oleh peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book berbantuan canva yang memuat materi kadaharan khas sunda pada pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Sunda (PBSS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Dalam artikel ini dibahas seluruh tahapan ADDIE mulai dari analisi hingga evaluasi. Pengembangan E-book divalidasi oleh validator ahli media dan materi guna perbaikan pada fitur yang masih kurang dengan menggunakan instrumen angket validasi. Selanjutnya e-book diuji-cobakan kepada 27 orang peserta didik di kelas VI di sebuah sekolah dasar di Kota Banjar Jawa Barat. Berdasarkan data hasil validasi ahli, diperoleh bahwa e-book ini memenuhi kategori “Sangat Baik” (95%). Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, peserta didik merasa mudah dalam mengakses e-book sehingga dapat memahami materi yang akhirnya dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan e-book iyang dikembangkan dengan berbantuan Canva menjadi inovasi dalam memperkenalkan bahasa serta budaya lokal.

Abstract

Menulis kreatif adalah keterampilan berbahasa yang penting, namun sering kali peserta didik mengabaikan ejaan, tanda baca, dan huruf kapital. Artikel ini menganalisis penggunaan ketiga aspek tersebut pada 30 peserta didik kelas V dalam kegiatan menulis kreatif menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan peserta didik dalam aspek ini masih belum memadai, dengan banyak kesalahan dan beberapa peserta yang tidak memperhatikan sama sekali. Analisis ini mengungkapkan sejauh mana kemampuan menulis peserta didik serta faktor penyebab kurangnya perhatian terhadap ejaan, tanda baca, dan huruf kapital. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi guru untuk memberikan perhatian khusus dan metode inovatif dalam pengajaran ejaan, tanda baca, dan huruf kapital, sehingga peserta didik dapat berlatih dengan lebih antusias dalam menulis kreatif.
