Abstract

Learning media is very useful to help students understand the concepts of learning material provided. The use of innovative learning media is still limited to the learning process, especially thematic learning. Thematic innovative learning media is more specifically developed with STEM-based learning based on 4C capabilities, namely the Media Electrical Tandem Roller (ETR). Media development is carried out using the Focus General Discussion (FGD) Method with a qualitative approach. The process of implementing this FGD stage involved the development team of STEM learning tools that aims to validate the media produced without going through field trials. ETR media based on the ability of 4C in elementary schools has been produced for STEM learning. This innovative learning media is expected to be used, especially for teachers in thematic learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The ability of empathy is one of the factors that become the basis of the success of social interaction, because in that relationship it is necessary to understand the mutual understanding of feelings and help each other. This research was conducted in TK PGRI SID Sartika District Cineam which aimed to describe the empathy ability of early childhood. Subjects in this study were children aged 5-6 years, amounting to 10 children consisting of 5 boys and 5 girls.This research uses quantitative approach with descriptive research method. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation and field notes. Instruments in this research use observation sheet,  field note, and documentation. The results showed that from the analysis of data of empathy ability of children aged 5-6 years in TK PGRI SID Sartika District Cineam include caring attitude, tolerance attitude, and taste grace attitude, get result that the average number of items that appear for children who are at The age range of 5-6 years is 9.5 items / descriptor, hence the average achievement achievement of empathy ability of children aged 5-6 years in TK PGRI SID Sartika District Cineam with total students aged 5-6 years 10 Children get the criteria evaluation Developed As Expectations (BSH).Kemampuan empati merupakan salah satu faktor yang menjadi dasar dari suksesnya interaksi sosial, karena dalam hubungan tersebut diperlukan adanya pengertian untuk saling memahami perasaan dan saling tolong menolong. Penelitian ini dilakukan di TK PGRI SID Sartika Kecamatan Cineam yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan empati anak usia dini. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun yang berjumlah 10 orang anak terdiri atas 5 orang anak laki-laki dan 5 orang anak perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan catatan lapangan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar obsevasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil analisis data kemampuan empati anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK PGRI SID Sartika Kecamatan Cineam meliputi sikap peduli, sikap toleransi, dan sikap tenggang rasa, mendapatkan hasil bahwa rata-rata jumlah item yang muncul untuk anak yang berada pada rentang usia 5-6 tahun adalah sebanyak 9,5 item/deskriptor, maka dengan demikian diperoleh rata-rata capaian perkembangan kemampuan empati anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK PGRI SID Sartika Kecamatan Cineam dengan total siswa yang berusia 5-6 tahun sebanyak 10 orang mendapatkan kriteria penilaian Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the widespread use of the gadgets in the community, including the use of gadgets by early childhood. This study aims to describe how the effect of the use of the gadget on the social emotional development of early childhood in group B in RA Baiturrahman Cipedes District Tasikmalaya City. The research method used is descriptive method with ex post facto research type. The sample in this study amounted to 23 people. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, structured observation and unstructured interviews. Statistical analysis technique used is simple linear regression with significance level α = 5% (0,05). Based on the calculation of simple linear regression test, obtained value of significance of 0.184 and the value of coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.082 or 8.2%. This indicates that the use of the gadget has a positive effect of 8.2% on the social emotional development of early childhood in group B in RA Baiturrahman Kecamatan Cipedes Kota Tasikmalaya. However, the effect is not significant. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya penggunaan gawai di masyarakat, termasuk penggunaan gawai oleh anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan gawai terhadap perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia dini pada kelompok B di RA Baiturrahman Kecamatan Cipedes Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 23 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket/kuesioner, observasi terstruktur dan wawancara tidak terstruktur. Teknik analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana dengan taraf signifikansi α=5% (0,05). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji regresi linier sederhana, diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,184 dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,082 atau 8,2%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan gawai memiliki pengaruh positif sebesar 8,2% terhadap perkembangan sosial emosional anak usia dini pada kelompok B di RA Baiturrahman Kecamatan Cipedes Kota Tasikmalaya. Akan tetapi, pengaruh tersebut tidak signifikan.

Abstract

Sastra merupakan teks yang bisa terbentuk dari gambaran sosial masyarakat sebagai bahan refleksi dari kehidupan manusia. Penelitian ini mengungkap permasalahan mengenai unsur struktural dan kritik sosial yang terdapat pada kumpulan cerpen karya peserta LMCA tahun 2011. Problematika yang ada di masyarakat dituangkan oleh pengarang melalui karya sastra tersebut sebagai media kritik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) unsur struktural yang membangun naskah cerpen LMCA tahun 2011; dan (2) kritik sosial yang terdapat pada naskah cerita anak tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktural dan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Strategi yang digunakan yaitu analisis isi (content analysis). Sumber data penelitian yaitu Kumpulan Naskah Cerpen terbaik Lomba Menulis Cerita Anak (LMCA) tahun 2011. Dari 15 naskah LMCA tahun 2011, terdapat 7 naskah yang di dalamnya mengungkap kritik sosial. Teknik pengambilan subjek penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) secara struktural, setiap naskah cerpen memiliki unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik yang berbeda-beda meliputi alur, tokoh, latar, tema, amanat, sudut pandang, gaya bahasa, latar belakang pengarang, kondisi sosial budaya, dan tempat cerpen dikarang; (2) secara sosiologi, ketujuh naskah cerpen mengungkap enam masalah sosial yang dikritik yaitu masalah lingkungan, gender, ekonomi, pendidikan, kebiasaan/kebudayaan masyarakat, dan sikap diskriminasi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa hasil analisis kritik sosial terhadap kumpulan cerpen tersebut mengungkap tentang kritik pengarang terhadap sikap manusia yang menyimpang.

Abstract

As construction of thought, self-concept will continue to grow and develop following the life experiences, one of which can come from stories. Therefore, this study aims to uncover and describe indicators of self-concept from children's stories. The data was obtained based on ten children's stories from the online version of Bobo magazine published in 2019-2020. This research used the content analysis method with categorization and tabulation until inference was found. The results revealed that Bobo magazine had implied self-concepts in the published stories. Among them, such as self-identity related to the labels attached by other characters as well as the character's desire to be what kind of self; personal behavior related to the views of other characters and figures in viewing their behavior; and self-judgment related to the acceptance or rejection of the character's behavior. Then, the physical self-concept associated with gender and character skills; moral self-concept related to the character's ability to control his behavior; personal self-concept related to good relations between characters; family self-concept related to the character's relationship with his family members; and social self-concept related to the character's relationship with his peers. These findings appear to confirm the representation of self-concepts in Indonesian children's short stories.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the level of digital literacy and ethics among parents with primary school-aged children in the digital era. This study  employed a descriptive  method   with a quantitative approach. The participants in this study were 54 parents with children in primary school aged 4–6 in Tasikmalaya City, West Java Province. The research instrument  utilized a questionnaire adapted from government policy on digital ethics, which included four components: digital ethics, understanding of negative content, fundamental knowledge of interaction, participation, and collaboration, and basic knowledge of internet transactions. A descriptive data analysis technique was utilized to investigate the discovered data. The findings revealed that parents' understanding of digital literacy and ethics as a provision for their children's education at home was in the high category. This shows that the government's policies on digital literacy and ethics have been implemented and understood by parents. Furthermore, the functional characteristics include a high infrastructure for accessing the internet at home, demonstrating the ease of accessing the internet or digital media.

Abstract

 Abstract:  The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the order of the world of education, this has prompted the government to issue policy Number 719/P/2020 regarding guidelines for implementing the curriculum in educational units under special conditions. The research aims to determine the strategies, learning principles, and policy analysis of the emergency curriculum. The data collection techniques in this study were distributing questionnaires to 26 private elementary school teachers in Tasikmalaya City as participants. The research method used is the quantitative method and the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the study stated that the existence of an emergency curriculum policy in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic was effective in thematic learning in private elementary schools by using learning strategies that emphasize the character of students and the principles of active and fun learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aspek self-love dalam cerita anak majalah bobo. Hal ini dilakukan karena ditemukan kurangnya aspek self-love yang tertanam dalam diri anak. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena banyak sekali peran self-love sehingga harus ditanamkan pada diri anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitan dengan metode analisis konten dan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Self-love merupakan istilah yang digunanak dalam mencintai diri. Self-love memiliki 4 aspek diantaranya self-awareness, self-worth, self-esteem, dan self-care. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerita anak dalam majalah bobo sudah mengklasifikasikan aspek self-love. Self-awareness digambarkan melalui tokoh yang memiliki sikap mampu membedakan dirinya dari lingkungan fisik dan sosialnya, sadar akan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya, dan membangun sikap yang berhubungan dengan diri. Self-worth digambarkan melalui tokoh yang sadar bahwa dirinya berharga. Self-esteem ditunjukkan melalui sikap tokoh untuk menilai dan menghormati dirinya dengan baik. Self-care ditunjukkan melalui sikap tokoh dengan menjaga kesehatan jiwa dan raganya melalui hal yang membuatnya senang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa cerita anak dalam majalah bobo sudah memasukkan aspek self-love baik secara tersirat maupun secara tersurat.

Abstract

Starting in 2021, a National Assessment will be held in Indonesia, one of which is the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM). The Minimum Competency Assessment is implemented based on the results of the 2018 PISA study, which shows that the ability of Indonesian students in reading, mathematics, and science is still below average. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the National Assessment program and its implementation in elementary schools. This research is in the form of descriptive qualitative research where the data is taken from interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The research subjects were principals, classroom teachers, and elementary school students in Tasikmalaya City. From the results of the analysis, it was found that there was still a lack of school readiness, especially in the availability of infrastructure and the absence of school programs in facing the National Assessment. Therefore, an analysis is necessary as a basis to formulate a sustainable program in facing the National Assessment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgency of emotional literacy teaching materials for elementary school students. One of the efforts that can be done is to cultivate emotional literacy through fictional texts or children's literature in the form of children's story books. There are a number of studies on children's stories containing emotional literacy. However, the response of students to children's story books containing emotional literacy is still limited. Therefore, this  purpose study aims to describe the responses of elementary school students to children's story books containing emotional literacy. This research is part of the Educational Design Research (EDR) research model. Data collection techniques used, namely distributing questionnaires to 13 students and studying literature. The results showed that the students' responses to children's story books containing emotional literacy were included in the good category because they met five indicators of reading interest, namely meeting the reading needs of children's stories containing emotional literacy; according to the interests of students; feelings of pleasure that arise in students after reading story books containing emotional literacy; acknowledge interest in reading children's stories containing emotional literacy; and the spirit of reading and following up the values obtained from reading into life. Thus, it can be concluded that children's story books containing emotional literacy were responded well by students while providing a good emotional literacy experience. The implication is that it requires exploration of response-oriented strategies and techniques in learning or non-learning that empowers children's story books with emotional literacy
