Abstract

This study examines the impact of Indonesia’s 2013 Curriculum (K-13) on secondary school teachers, focusing on its effects on teaching methods, assessment practices, and classroom management. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research integrates quantitative data from surveys and qualitative insights from interviews to evaluate K-13 implementation. The findings indicate that K-13 has led to significant changes in teaching practices, with many teachers adopting more student-centered and competency-based approaches. However, challenges such as insufficient professional development and resource limitations have hindered effective implementation. Rural teachers, in particular, face greater difficulties due to limited resources. Qualitative data reveal that while the emphasis on authentic assessments and collaborative learning has improved student engagement, it has also introduced complexities that require additional support. Teachers expressed a need for clearer guidelines and more practical training to navigate these new demands effectively.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital learning tools has significantly influenced the acquisition of Arabic as a second language (ASLA). This study examines the impact of mobile applications and online platforms on ASLA learners, focusing on their effectiveness in enhancing language skills, including speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research incorporates quantitative data from surveys and qualitative insights from interviews and classroom observations. The findings indicate that digital learning tools contribute positively to ASLA acquisition, particularly through gamification, AI-based tutoring, and interactive platforms. However, challenges such as technical barriers, limited feedback mechanisms, and the need for contextualized cultural integration persist. The study highlights the importance of combining digital learning tools with traditional teaching methods to optimize language learning outcomes. Future research is recommended to explore the long-term effects of digital learning tools on Arabic language acquisition and develop more adaptive and culturally relevant educational technologies.

Abstract

The research focuses on the significant role of Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods in the Taḥfīẓul Qur’ān learning process. These methods are essential in helping individuals achieve their desired targets in Qur’ān memorization while ensuring consistency. Several educational institutions widely adopt these popular methods. The study's main objectives are twofold: (1) to comprehend how the implementation of Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods occurs in the Taḥfīẓul Qur’ān learning process at Class V Salafiyah Ula Islamic Centre Bin Baz during the Academic Year 2022/2023, and (2) to determine the effectiveness of these methods in the same setting. The research follows a qualitative approach with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The implementation of the Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods in the Taḥfīẓul Qur’ān learning process comprises five stages: planning and preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reflection. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of these methods at Class V Salafiyah Ula Islamic Centre Bin Baz during the Academic Year 2022/2023 is satisfactory. Though some students haven't achieved their targets, the application of these methods has successfully increased students' engagement with the Qur’ān compared to previous approaches. Additionally, the methods contribute to maintaining balanced memorization of both new and previously learned verses of the Qur’ān. In conclusion, the study highlights the crucial role of Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods in the Taḥfīẓul Qur’ān learning process. The research offers insights into their implementation and effectiveness, providing valuable information for educators and institutions seeking to enhance the memorization of the Qur’ān among their students.
