Abstract

Brand disputes are still one of the disputes in Indonesia due to a lack of awareness that brands only have legal certainty after they are registered. One of the brand disputes that occurred in Indonesia was the dispute between Ruben Onsu and Benny Sudjono over the I Am Geprek Bensu brand, which has been a long-standing dispute since 2018-2020. The research will explain the chronology of the brand dispute between Ruben Onsu and Benny Sudjono and how legal protection efforts will be provided to the parties involved in the dispute. The research uses normative legal methods with secondary data sources and the results are explained in the form of descriptive analysis through legal phenomena that occur in society. The results of the research explain that Ruben Onsu finally had to give up the Bensu brand and currently Geprek Bensu outlets are almost never found in Indonesia anymore and have become empty of buyers since this case occurred.

Abstract

Catcalling is a frequent phenomenon in society where a person verbally harasses or humiliates women in public spaces through sexual comments or unwanted behavior. It creates discomfort, anxiety and even trauma for victims, and reflects gender and power inequalities in our culture. A legal and cultural analysis of catcalling of women reveals the complexity of addressing this issue. While some jurisdictions have laws against verbal harassment, enforcement is often ineffective, and cultures that maintain gender stereotypes reinforce the behavior. The importance of education, public awareness and cultural change in combating catcalling is essential in creating a safer and more equal environment for women in society.

Abstract

This study aims to examine legal regulations that guarantee protection for victims of sexual violence in Indonesia, including the fulfillment of women's rights to obtain legal abortion services due to pregnancy resulting from sexual violence. The background of this study is based on the limited access of victims to safe abortion services despite being regulated in legislation. This study is important to assess the gap between legal norms and practices in the field in protecting victims. The method used is normative juridical with analysis of laws and regulations and other legal norms through literature study. The results of the study show that although Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Sexual Violence Crimes, the Health Law, and the new Criminal Code have provided a legal basis for victims to access safe abortions, their implementation is still hampered by limited facilities, social stigma, and a lack of understanding among officials and medical personnel. In conclusion, it is necessary to strengthen the implementation of regulations and increase the understanding of stakeholders. The novelty of this research lies in its comprehensive analysis of the relationship between victim protection regulations and the implementation of legal abortion in Indonesia.
