Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to initiate the role of Economic Value Added (EVA) as an assessment of corporate management performance in the contemporary business era. The approach method used in this study is a literature study to assess the effectiveness of Economic Value Added (EVA). In addition, this study also provides practical suggestions for the application of Economic Value Added (EVA) and aims to deepen the understanding of corporate management performance assessment. The findings in this study indicate that Economic Value Added (EVA) offers a comprehensive approach by considering cost capital, providing a more accurate picture of the increase in company value. However, the use of Economic Value Added (EVA) also requires strong analytical skills and access to complete data, and must be combined with other evaluation methods to provide a holistic understanding of company performance.

Abstract

Retail investors today are heavily influenced by platforms like Reddit, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube, where financial decisions are increasingly shaped by viral memes, influencer opinions, and emotionally charged content rather than company fundamentals or analytical research. Events such as the GameStop short squeeze and cryptocurrency pump-and-dump schemes illustrate how online communities can coordinate mass trading behavior, often driven by hype and group sentiment. This study examines how social media fuels behavioral biases like overconfidence, confirmation bias, and herding, while also enabling emotional contagion during market uncertainty—seen clearly during the COVID-19 crash. It explores how sentiment analysis models attempt to predict market movements using language data from posts and tweets, yet often fail to distinguish between authentic sentiment and manipulated signals generated by bots or coordinated campaigns. Influencers without financial credentials regularly offer investment “tips” that go viral, drawing millions of views but little regulatory oversight. These patterns show that behavioral finance must evolve to account for real-time, crowd-based, platform-driven investor behavior. Future work should compare platform-specific features—such as Reddit’s upvote dynamics vs. TikTok’s algorithmic exposure—and assess how misinformation, social validation, and low financial literacy combine to distort market behavior at scale.

Abstract

The scientific reasoning of students at MA Negeri 1 Indramayu is in the moderate category. Biodiversity teaching materials based on ethnobiological studies have never been applied. This study aims to determine the influence of biodiversity teaching materials based on ethnobiological studies on the scientific reasoning of students at MA Negeri 1 Indramayu. The research method used, that is, quantitative. The design of this study, namely true experimental design with the type of posttest only control design. The population of this study, namely class X MA Negeri 1 Indramayu students consisting of 3 classes with a sample of class X MIPA 1 totaling 30 students as an experimental group and class X MIPA 3 totaling 29 students as a control group. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The instruments used are in the form of tests and questionnaires. Data analysis using normality test, homogeneity test, t-test and likert scale. The results showed that the average scientific reasoning of the experimental group students was higher compared to the control group. Based on the hypothesis test value (thitung = 3.392 > ttabel 2.2002) so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, that is to say, there is a significant influence of biodiversity teaching materials based on ethnobiological studies on the scientific reasoning of students in MA Negeri 1 Indramayu. Students' scientific reasoning is in the high category with a percentage of 66.72%.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration and algorithm transparency on organizational efficiency and perceived fairness in Human Resource (HR) decision-making. Using a qualitative literature review approach, the research examines the mediating role of employee trust and the moderating influence of organizational culture. The analysis focuses on peer-reviewed international studies published since 2020, reflecting the latest theoretical and empirical developments in AI and HR management. The findings reveal that a higher level of AI integration improves decision speed, reduces operational costs, and increases the accuracy of talent allocation. However, these efficiency gains are not independent of ethical considerations. Transparent algorithms are shown to significantly enhance employees’ trust and perceptions of fairness, whereas opaque systems tend to generate resistance and distrust. Furthermore, organizational culture plays a crucial moderating role. Companies with innovative and participatory cultures report better outcomes from AI implementation, while hierarchical cultures are associated with lower adoption success and ethical challenges. This research highlights the importance of aligning technical capabilities with social and cultural factors to optimize the use of AI in HR functions. The study contributes to the discourse on socio-technical systems by proposing an integrative framework that links AI integration, transparency, trust, and culture to key organizational outcomes. Practical implications include the need for transparent system design, ethical governance, and cultural readiness to support responsible AI adoption in HR.
