Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of students at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan, regarding waste sorting on campus. Utilizing a quantitative research method, data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed via social media, targeting a sample of 50 active students. The findings reveal that a significant portion of students lacks awareness and understanding of proper waste sorting practices, with only 40% acknowledging the adequacy of waste disposal facilities on campus. The results indicate that the current waste management program is insufficiently supported by student engagement, which is crucial for its success. Furthermore, the study highlights the need for enhanced educational initiatives to foster a culture of environmental responsibility among students. In conclusion, the research underscores the importance of improving waste management strategies in higher education institutions to promote sustainable practices and contribute to broader environmental goals in Indonesia. This study not only provides insights for decision-makers at Universitas Negeri Medan but also adds to the existing literature on pro-environmental behavior in the Indonesian socio-cultural context.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see how Indonesia's financial system stability index is affected by inflation and BI rate. The main concern raised is how changes in the benchmark interest rate and variations in inflation can affect the stability of the country's financial system and economy. Multiple regression analysis was used in this study using secondary data from Bank Indonesia reports and other relevant sources from 2010 to 2023. The calculated F value is smaller than the F table, indicating that there is no real relationship between the inflation rate and BI rate with the financial system stability index simultaneously. Based on the t value that does not exceed the t table, partial analysis shows that neither inflation nor BI rate has a significant effect on financial system stability. The regression coefficients of inflation and BI Rate are positive, but this does not support the hypothesis. The results of this study provide a valuable perspective for policymakers to design more efficient monetary tactics aimed at maintaining the stability of the Indonesian financial system. Hopefully, future studies on monetary policy and economic stability will use the results of this study as a reference.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perkembangan koperasi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara selama periode 2011–2025. Variabel yang dikaji meliputi jumlah koperasi aktif, volume usaha, dan Sisa Hasil Usaha (SHU) koperasi sebagai indikator utama kelembagaan, kapasitas, dan profitabilitas koperasi. Pendekatan analisis menggunakan metode regresi linear berganda (OLS) dengan data runtun waktu yang dikumpulkan dari Badan Pusat Statistik dan lembaga terkait lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa volume usaha koperasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap PDRB, menegaskan peran penting ekspansi aktivitas usaha dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi. Sebaliknya, SHU koperasi menunjukkan hubungan negatif yang signifikan, menandakan perlunya reinvestasi yang strategis untuk meningkatkan kontribusi ekonomi koperasi. Jumlah koperasi aktif secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, namun secara simultan ketiga variabel menunjukkan pengaruh yang kuat dan positif terhadap PDRB. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan kapasitas operasional dan kelembagaan koperasi merupakan faktor kunci dalam mendukung pembangunan ekonomi regional berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar kebijakan untuk meningkatkan peran koperasi dalam mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi di Sumatera Utara.
