Abstract

This study aims to describe determine the factors that affect the household poverty of the Watu Ulo Sumberejo Village, Ambulu Sub District, Jember  District. The research was conducted in watu ulo in Ambulu Sub District, Jember  District. the selection of the research location was carried out deliberately (Purposive), with the consideration that the village is a coastal village with many fisherman household settlements, most of whom work as fishermen which own a fishing boat smaller or equal to five gross tonnages (GT). The population in this study were all the fisherman household of Watu Ulo in Ambulu Sub District, Jember district, namely 316 Household, with a total sample size of 38 respondents using the Yamane formula. To answer the objective, a binary probit model is used. The results showed that based on the binary probit test, the factors that significantly influenced household poverty of Watu Ulo in Ambulu Sub District, Jember District were the number of household members, education of the head of the household, the catch payment. It is necessary to improve distribution within the government, monitoring, counseling, and the support from the goverment so that the government is right on target. Abstract

Small-scale fishermen from Watu Ulo, Jember, Indonesia use very simple fishing gear and small boats use nets. Thus, they receive a low catch and affect their well-being. This study aims to analyze the factors that can affect the income and expenditure of fishers’ households. This study interviewed fishermen in Watu Ulo Hamlet, Ambulu District, using simple random sampling. The analytical method in this study used the Two-stage Least Square (2SLS) method to estimate the parameters of the equation. The results showed that the fishing income was influenced by the selling price of the fish and fishing production. Non-fishing income was influenced by total household income and fishermen's education. Husband's work at sea did not affect non-fishing income. Meanwhile, there were two factors that affected fishermen's household expenditures. Food expenditure was influenced by total household income, number of family members, and rice expenditure. Moreover, non-food expenditure was influenced by total household income, the number of schoolchildren, and customs. This study suggests that fishermen need to diversify their income sources into processed goods so that they can be sold in markets or shops. Such effort can increase the income of fisherman households.JEL Classification E31; J43; O11

Abstract

This community service aims to increase consumer confidence in MSME MSME products in Bangilan District, Tuban Regency through socialization of the halal certification program. The service method applied is service learning, where service participants play an active role in providing understanding to MSME players about the importance of halal certification. The main objective is to involve participants in interactive and participatory learning, so that they can directly understand the positive impact of the halal certification program on increasing consumer confidence which has an impact on income. The results of the service show that MSME participants are interested in taking part in the process of obtaining halal certification, improving product quality and increasing consumer confidence. Thus, it is hoped that this service can make a positive contribution to the development of MSMEs in Sidokumpul Village, Bangilan District, Tuban Regency by improving halal principles so that it can support the BPJPH program to bring in MSME actors in 2024.Keywords: MSME, Halal Label, Satisfaction

Abstract

Kegiatan penyuluhan itu termasuk program pengabdian masyarakat yang dimana programnya ditujukan pada KWT di Desa Tingkis Kecamatan Singgahan Kabupaten Tuban Provinsi Jawa Timur yang bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan pemahaman tentang cara pemasaran yang efektif dan efisien pada produk yang dibuat oleh KWT desa tingkis tersebut sebagai salah strategi agar penjualan meningkat. dengan menggunakan bauran pemasaran 4P (Product, Price, Place & Promotion) dalam pemasarannya dan aplikasi Shoppe untuk platform e-commercenya. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini yaitu obersevasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penyuluan ini dilakukan dengan menggetahui dasar-dasar bauran pemasaran 4P dan pembuatan akun shoppe agar dapat meningkatkan penjualan produk masyarakat Kelompok Wanita Tani.

Abstract

Usaha peternakan ayam broiler memerlukan modal yang besar. Sistem pengembangan yang efisien diperlukan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Salah satunya pengelolaan usaha ayam broiler dengan melakukan integrasi vertikal antara perusahaan (inti) dengan peternak (plasama) yaitu kemitraan. Sistem kemitraan menjadi salah satu solusi dalam menjawab tantangan bisnis dalam budidaya ayam broiler saat ini. Pada sistem kemitraannya peternak mendapatkan sistem harga kontrak penjualan ayam. Harga tesebut menghindarkan peternak dari penurunan penerimaan akibat jatuhnya harga di pasar tetapi juga menyebabkan penerimaan tetap. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola kemitraan yang dijalankan antara peternak (plasama) dan perusahaan (inti), mengetahui pendapatan peternak, serta mengetahui kelayakan usaha peternak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Metode pengambilan data dengan tatatp muka menggunakan kuisoner, analsisa data menggunakan analisa deskriptif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) pola kemitraan yang dijalankan peternak X dengan perusahaan yaitu pola kemitraan inti plasma yang menguntungkan kedua belah pihak (2) biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh peternak X sebesar Rp 55.683.000,00 per periode dengan jumlah ternak 2.000 ekor, penerimaan yang di peroleh peternak X sebesar Rp 62.900.000,00 per periode, pendapatan yang diperoleh peternak X sebesar Rp 7.037.000,00 per periode, (3) analisis kelayakan R/C rasio menghasilkan nilai 1,13 dan B/C rasio menghasilkan nilai 0,3 maka usaha peternakan milik peternak X layak untuk terus dijalankan dan dikembangkan

Abstract

Halal food is food that is permitted in Islam with the criteria of not containing haram ingredients such as pork and alcohol and is processed according to Islamic law. Halal food has many advantages, especially regarding cleanliness and food safety. The availability of halal labels becomes a regulation that aims to protect consumers and show the superiority of the products produced, with this development, the halal food industry not only focuses on Muslim consumers but also attracts the attention of non-Muslim consumers who prioritize quality and health in food. However, there are still many food business actors who have not carried out halal certification. The purpose of this study was to formulate several factors causing the slow processing of halal certification for members of the MSME association in Jatirogo District. The study was conducted on all members of the MSME association in Jatirogo District who had not carried out halal certification on the products produced by filling out a questionnaire containing a list of questions assessed using a Likert scale. The data obtained were ordinal data which were then transformed into interval data using the Successive Interval Method (MSI) which was then analyzed by "confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) " using SPSS 26.0. The results of the analysis showed that the factors constraining the slow processing of halal certification for MSME members in Jatirogo District in sequence were: 1) Knowledge of MSME actors, 2) Belief in the halalness of the products produced, 3) The assumption that consumers are less concerned about halal certification, 4) Differences in sales of halal-certified products, and 5) Halal certification processing procedures.

Abstract

Produk makanan dan minuman yang beredar di Indonesia harus memiliki sertifikasi halal sesuai dengan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 39 Tahun 2021. Kecamatan Jatirogo merupakan salah satu kecamatan teramai kedua yang berada di Kabupaten Tuban, namun masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang belum memiliki sertifikasi halal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah faktor pengetahuan, izin edar, biaya dan tempat menjadi kendala penerapan kewajiban sertifikasi halal pada tahun 2024 di Paguyuban UMKM Kecamatan Jatirogo dan bagaimana solusi untuk pelaku UMKM yang belum memiliki sertifikasi halal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif non probability sampling dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan conclusion drawing/ verivication. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu faktor pengetahuan, izin edar, biaya dan tempat menjadi kendala produsen olahan pangan nabati untuk menerapkan kewajiban sertifikasi halal. Maka, para produsen perlu mendapatkan sosialisasi lebih lanjut dan pendampingan agar mendapatkan prosedur pengurusan izin usaha makanan.

Abstract

The community service program from Politeknik Pertanian dan Peternakan Mapena 2024 aims to help improve the economy of the people of Bringin Village, Montong District, Tuban, particularly the member farmers of BUMDesa Suryonegoro Bringin Village by optimizing the production and digital marketing of goat and sheep rearing. Goat and sheep rearing in the Bringin Village community are sideline activities that are conventionally carried out. This program aims to help farmers increase their income through good and correct husbandry practices and increase livestock sales through the use of social media. The range of program activities includes extension, livestock health checks, and training. The farm optimization extension activities covered good goat and sheep husbandry techniques, understanding the livestock recording system, feed management, and livestock health management. Digital marketing extension activities provided participants with the knowledge to use social media as a marketing tool, such as Instagram. Farmers who are members of BUMDesa are also provided with training to support the livestock maintenance process to be more optimal, such as silage making techniques, urea molasses blocks, and the use of livestock manure waste as black soldier fly (BSF) maggot culture media. At the end of the program, a focus group discussion was held with stakeholders such as the Indonesian Goat and Sheep Breeders Association (HPDKI) of the Tuban region, the Tuban Food Security, Agriculture and Fisheries Office, and the philanthropic institution, Nurul Hayat to support the sustainability of the program.
