Abstract

This article examines the thermal conditions and thermal comfort in the Auditorium space at the Faculty of Engineering, Palangka Raya University, focusing on the Auditorium as a case study. This study uses the method of measuring temperature, humidity, and air flow according to the ASHRAE 55 and PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) standards. The results show significant variations in thermal conditions during the use of the study room with a Thermal Sensation index that can affect student concentration. Recommendations for improvement include ventilation arrangements, the use of more efficient building materials, and improving the air conditioning system. These findings are expected to be a reference for improving the quality of the learning environment in educational spaces, especially at the Faculty of Engineering, Palangka Raya University.

Abstract

This study explores the passive lighting distribution system in educational buildings at PPIG Palangka Raya University. The main focus of the study is how the distribution of natural lighting decreases significantly in spaces that are far from the lighting source, especially in buildings that have light sources on the side that is difficult to reach the entire space. Using an analysis test with the Andrewmarsh application, the distribution of lighting in the Daylight Factor was found with an average of 43.48%. The results of the study show that the placement of space towards the position of windows or openings that are less strategic causes a gap in light distribution, thus affecting visual comfort in the room. This study is expected to be a reference in designing educational buildings that are more energy efficient and comfortable for their users.

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia pertelevisian di Indonesia mengalami kemajuan pesat, namun juga membawa tantangan berupa dampak negatif terhadap karakter generasi muda akibat tayangan yang kurang mendidik. Dalam konteks ini, lembaga penyiaran lokal seperti Barelang TV Kabel di Kota Tanjungpinang memiliki potensi besar untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter melalui konten yang relevan dan edukatif. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman remaja mengenai pengaruh media terhadap pembentukan karakter mental. Kegiatan yang melibatkan mahasiswa Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji ini menggunakan pendekatan interaktif berupa ceramah, diskusi, dan survei, yang dilaksanakan pada 19 Oktober 2024. Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar yang mendalam serta memotivasi partisipasi aktif peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman remaja terkait dampak media sosial dan strategi bijak dalam menghadapinya, seperti memilih konten yang mendidik dan mengelola waktu secara produktif. Selain itu, program ini memperkuat peran Barelang TV Kabel dalam menyediakan tayangan berbasis nilai-nilai lokal yang mendukung penguatan karakter generasi muda. Sinergi antara universitas, lembaga penyiaran, dan pemerintah daerah menjadi kunci keberhasilan kegiatan ini. Dengan mengoptimalkan teknologi digital, Barelang TV Kabel berhasil menjangkau audiens yang lebih luas sambil tetap memprioritaskan konten edukatif. Kesimpulannya, program ini efektif dalam membangun kesadaran remaja akan pentingnya karakter mental yang kuat di era digital, serta memberikan model ideal bagi inisiatif serupa untuk mendukung pembangunan karakter anak bangsa secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the eradication of corruption in Bandar Lampung through the perspective of criminal psychology. Corruption is a serious problem that hinders development and harms society. This study identifies psychological factors that drive individuals to engage in corruption, including economic motivation, social pressure, and behavioral norms. With a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with law enforcement officers, psychologists, and the community. The results of the study indicate that understanding the psychological aspects of corruption perpetrators can increase the effectiveness of prevention and enforcement strategies. In addition, education and socialization about the negative impacts of corruption need to be improved to build public awareness. This study provides recommendations for legal policies in Bandar Lampung to integrate psychological approaches in efforts to eradicate corruption, including training for law enforcers and rehabilitation programs for perpetrators. Thus, it is hoped that efforts to eradicate corruption will not only focus on legal sanctions, but also on changing the behavior and mentality of society. This study contributes to the development of legal theory and practice as well as criminal psychology in the context of eradicating corruption in Indonesia.

Abstract

Teknologi informasi saat ini menyebar di berbagai bidang kehidupan masyarakat.Kemajuan ini membuat jarak dan ruang tak berbatas. Suatu peistiwa dan kejadian dapat cepat ketahui dalam hitungan detik. Demikian pula dengan kemajuan sistem informasi di perpustakaan. Dimana dulu pelayanan masih menggunakan metode manual (manual methode) saat ini sudah banyak yang beralih menggunakan sistem automasi perpustakaan (library management sistem). Berangkat dari pemikiran itu, tim pengabdian pada masyarakat UNISMA tertarik untuk mengadakan kegiatan pelatihan sistem informasi perpustakaan yang dilaksanakan di perpustakaan sekolah GRATIS Yayasan baitul Jihad Kemang Pratama II Bekasi, sebagai sekolah GRATIS 100% kami mencoba untuk bersinergi dalam usahanya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui perkembangan teknologi informasi.

Abstract

This research explores character education at TPA Anwar Rasyid Yogyakarta from the perspective of Living Value Education (LVE), and analyzes the impact on students' character development. This research focuses on analyzing the learning process that contains positive values in the curriculum implementation, which includes classroom learning activities, educator and student interactions, and the application of values in daily activities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, data collected through a process of semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation, and document analysis. The informants of this research consisted of TPA teachers, students, and parents to obtain in-depth information. The data analysis technique used the analysis model of Miles & Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, as well as data triangulation. The main findings of this study show the integration of universal moral values with a religious approach that supports students' character holistically. Character education in TPA includes strengthening three main aspects, namely cognitive (knowledge of values) through the study of the Qur'an and kitab, affective aspects (feelings and emotions about values) through storytelling, role playing, and self-reflection approaches, and psychomotor aspects (actions of applying values) through self-habituation activities. This character education has a significant impact in shaping students' morals and ethics, active participation of santri in every learning activity shapes their social skills, self-awareness, and academic achievement. The implications of this study include the development of a more integrated curriculum, the importance of parental involvement, and the development of a comprehensive character education model.

Abstract

This study employed a quasi-experimental method involving two groups, namely an experimental class and a control class. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the treatment given to the research subjects. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 24. The normality test showed significance values (Sig) for both classes greater than 0.05, indicating that the data were normally distributed. The homogeneity test also showed significance values greater than 0.05, indicating that the students' PPKn learning outcomes had homogeneous variances. Furthermore, the t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the conclusion that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Therefore, the implementation of the play-based learning method using puzzle media was proven effective in enhancing the creative thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 07 Kota Bima.
