Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the performance of educators and education staff at MTS Negeri 2 Jember using the interview method. Performance evaluation is an important aspect in measuring the performance of educators and education personnel in order to improve the quality of education and the effectiveness of school management. This research uses interview techniques to collect direct data from stakeholders regarding their perceptions of the evaluation system implemented, challenges faced, and suggestions for improvement. The findings show that even though the evaluation was carried out formally, there are several aspects that still require improvement, such as communication, consistency of implementation, and understanding of evaluation metrics. Therefore, better research is needed, dissemination of evaluation criteria, and a more collaborative evaluation approach.

Abstract

In an educational institution the principal has a very important role in determining the back and forth of an educational institution because the principal is one of the components of education that has the most role in improving the quality of education and is directly responsible for education management which is directly related to all processes in a school. The principal has a big role in the process of improving the management of educational institutions, one of which is the principal as the top leader who has the right to make decisions and gives authority to teachers and all school members, the principal also supervises and monitors all matters relating to the school in particular and educational institutions in general. The purpose of this research was to determine the role of the principal in the quality management of educational institutions at SMA Negeri 1 Kroya, Cilacap Regency. The research that the authors do is included in the type of qualitative research. In collecting data, the author uses the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. From the research results, the data are collected and analyzed, then the data is reduced, then the data is presented in descriptive form and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the role of the principal in the management of quality improvement of educational institutions at SMA Negeri 1 Kroya is realized in the form of activities related to program achievement and school policy. In the management of improving the quality of educational institutions at SMA Negeri 1 Kroya, 4 stages are carried out according to the "PDCA" concept, namely plan (planning), do (implementation), check (checking), and act (follow up).

Abstract

Konflik merupakan fenomena sosial yang tidak dapat dihindari dan sering muncul dalam berbagai konteks, mulai dari pendidikan hingga organisasi. Ketidakmampuan mengelola konflik secara efektif dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap kualitas interaksi, kinerja, maupun stabilitas institusi. Sebaliknya, pemahaman yang tepat mengenai definisi dan tingkatan konflik membuka peluang bagi penerapan strategi manajemen konflik yang lebih konstruktif.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meninjau literatur terkait definisi konflik dan tingkatan konflik serta menjawab pertanyaan penelitian: bagaimana konflik didefinisikan dalam literatur dan bagaimana tingkatan konflik diklasifikasikan? Metode yang digunakan adalah literatur review dengan penelusuran pada database ejournal-nipamof.id, opacperpus.iainmadura.ac.id, ejournal.nusantaraglobal.ac.id, academia.edu, serta journal-stiayappimakassar.ac.id menggunakan kata kunci “definisi konflik” dan “tingkatan konflik”. Dari 20 artikel awal yang teridentifikasi, 5 artikel dipilih untuk dianalisis lebih lanjut berdasarkan relevansi. Temuan literatur menunjukkan bahwa konflik dipahami sebagai perbedaan kepentingan yang dapat bersifat fungsional maupun disfungsional. Tingkatan konflik mencakup intrapersonal, interpersonal, hingga kelompok. Selain itu, beberapa artikel menekankan bahwa manajemen konflik berperan penting dalam mengubah konflik menjadi peluang perbaikan. Kesimpulannya, pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang definisi dan tingkatan konflik menjadi dasar penting bagi pengembangan strategi resolusi konflik yang efektif. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat memperluas kajian dengan pendekatan empiris lintas konteks agar diperoleh gambaran lebih aplikatif.
