Abstract

Learning evaluation is a process that involves measuring the achievement of learning goals, providing feedback for learning improvement, identifying individual student needs, enhancing teaching quality, and assessing and holding the education system accountable. This article also highlights several challenges that need to be addressed in learning evaluation in elementary schools, such as an overly cognitive-focused approach, excessive pressure on students, and teachers’ qualifications to conduct effective evaluations. A literature review is used as the method in this article, collecting and analyzing various relevant literature sources. The article concludes that learning evaluation that is oriented towards comprehensive student development, considers both cognitive and non-cognitive aspects, and involves well-trained teachers can provide valuable information for enhancing learning and achieving better education quality in elementary schools.

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic has created new problems for the sustainability process in the education sector. This requires students to study from home to avoid exposure to the virus. The learning process from home certainly requires technology as a bridge to keep accessing the material. The constraints of an online-based learning system are considered to be a solution, as well as finding challenges from both the teacher and student side. The concept of learning at the elementary school level needs to be evaluated to improve the quality of teacher understanding and learning output in online-based classes. Mastery of learning resources, materials, and communication media are three elements that reinforce each other's learning methods. The research method used was interviews with representatives of teachers at SD Negeri Pegadungan 03 Pagi. The results of the study indicate that the design of blended learning or mixed learning is the solution. Blended Learning is a learning method that provides a combination of the use of technology, e-learning, and face-to-face learning. The blended learning model has a characteristic, namely all teaching and learning activities are carried out through a combination of online and face-to-face learning in delivering material. The blended learning method is one of the effective options to be implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of low interest in learning English among elementary school students in English subjects, which is largely caused by the use of conventional teaching materials that are less interactive and interesting. The aim of this research is to develop an interactive e-module based on Heyzine flipbook which is specifically designed to increase student involvement in the English learning process. This research uses the ADDIE model. This model consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire and is analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The research used test subjects with validity tests from material experts, media experts, one to one trials and small group trials. Based on the results of assessments from experts, namely media experts and material experts, with validation results, namely from material experts assessing learning media at 5, from media experts assessing learning media at 5, teacher assessments assessing learning media at 4.7, and student responses assessing learning media in one to one trials at 4.2 and small-scale trials at 4.47, thus the learning media based on the Heyzine flipbook developed is very good and worthy of being used as English learning media for elementary schools.
