Abstract

Technology has become an essential need for various groups in everyday life, including in the world of education. Technology such as television and mobile phones play an important role in supporting students to develop technological skills. This research focuses on developing an educational information system at Teladan Medan Private High School which aims to manage student, teacher and learning data effectively. This information system is expected to be able to improve the management and use of technology in the teaching and learning process. The research method used is field research with a qualitative approach. This approach views the research object as an interrelated system and functions to describe the phenomena that exist at the research location, namely at SMAS Teladan Medan. The instruments used are adapted to field conditions, with the aim of obtaining reliable data. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of information technology in education, especially at the high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between stress levels and smoking intensity among students at Universitas Negeri Medan. The background of this research is based on the assumption that stress is one of the factors that may influence smoking behavior, particularly among university students who face various academic and social demands. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population consisted of students at Universitas Negeri Medan, with a total sample of 32 respondents selected using a specific sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring stress levels and smoking intensity. The obtained data were then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation and simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicated that there was a positive relationship between stress levels and smoking intensity; however, the strength of the relationship was low, as reflected by a correlation coefficient of 0.271. Furthermore, the significance value was 0.133 (p > 0.05), indicating that the relationship was not statistically significant. The results of the simple linear regression analysis also revealed that stress levels did not have a significant effect on smoking intensity, with a contribution of only 7.4% to the variance in smoking intensity. In conclusion, stress levels are not a primary factor influencing smoking intensity among students. Therefore, further research is recommended to include other variables that may have a stronger influence on smoking behavior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran LKP Karya Prima sebagai sumber belajar masyarakat dalam pelatihan keterampilan komputer. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di LKP Karya Prima. Adapun Subjek penelitian ini terdiri atas pengelola lembaga dan peserta kursus komputer di LKP Karya Prima. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang kemudian diolah menggunakan teknik analisis data Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKP Karya Prima berperan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komputer masyarakat, khususnya mahasiswa dan masyarakat umum. Program pelatihan meliputi Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, mengetik sepuluh jari, penggunaan internet, dan pencetakan dokumen. Proses pembelajaran dilakukan dengan metode learning by doing dan sistem pembelajaran individual sehingga peserta lebih mudah memahami materi. Selain itu, fasilitas pembelajaran dan bimbingan instruktur turut mendukung efektivitas proses pelatihan. Dengan demikian, LKP Karya Prima menjadi salah satu sumber belajar masyarakat yang mendukung peningkatan keterampilan digital melalui pendidikan nonformal
