Abstract

The role of parents in children's education is a serious and important thing today. Among the roles of parents in education today is to accompany children and adolescents so that they can fortify themselves from the bad influence of media digitalization. Currently, children are spoiled by information and communication technology (ICT). The internet has become a basic need for children today, especially as students. School assignments require them to search for many references on the internet. This is one of the positive impacts of the internet. However, it is like a double-edged sword. The internet also has a negative impact if misused by children. Freedom to access internet sites that have negative impacts such as violent videos leading to bullying, porn, and so on can lead children themselves astray if without parental supervision. Therefore, a psychological study on proper parenting in the Digital Era regarding the Dangers of Pornography to the Brain is very necessary. For this reason, the Community Service Team (PkM) will provide educational counseling and information services to parents of the Indonesian Family House (RKI) Makasar, East Jakarta at Insan Madani Elementary School, Makasar District, East Jakarta with a target of 100 parents of students. Community service activities will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 08.00 - 11.00 WIB. Located in the School Hall. The results of this activity show an increase in insight, knowledge, and the right attitude in accompanying children when using social media. Evidenced by changes in direction and positive behavior in planning assistance, teaching, giving advice to children when using social media in order to keep them away from the dangers of pornography on children's brains.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-confidence and communication skills. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study were students of class VIII SMPN 15 Bekasi, the population was 1,095 and the number of samples of this study was 184 students. The sampling technique used the Simple random sampling technique. The instrument trial was carried out by testing the validity using person product moment, valid items of self-confidence variables were 31 and valid items of communication skills variables were 29. The calculation of reliability using Alpha Cronbach, obtained r count> r table self-confidence of 0.886> 0.6, communication skills obtained r count> r table 0.883> 0.6 then declared reliable. The prerequisite test for data analysis used was the Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test by obtaining results of 0.855 and 0.920 then declared dual normal, then the linearity test was obtained the result of 0.000 then the data was declared linear. Hypothesis testing was carried out using product moment correlation obtained r = 0.633. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between self-confidence and communication skills in class VIII students at SMPN 15 Bekasi.

Abstract

The language used as a medium of communication for someone to convey ideas or thoughts must pay attention to the norms, situations, and conditions of the language being spoken. Because inaccuracy in using language often triggers conflict in certain communities. This can be influenced by the development of language and culture such as the emergence of taboo words that are not appropriate in using and interpreting them. In the upload of the YouTube channel "Yowis Ben 2" describes a dialogue between two characters discussing taboo words in their daily speech and there is a new meaning expressed by the character. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of taboo words in East Javanese dialogue in the YouTube clip "Yowis Ben 2". This study uses a qualitative sociopragmatic approach with text analysis methods and the content of YouTube broadcasts. The data collection technique used is the technique of listening, speaking, and taking notes, then narrated and documented. Based on the results of the study, the use of taboo words in East Javanese dialogue on the YouTube channel "Yowis Ben 2" starring Bayu Skak and Anya Geraldine. The words 'jancuk' and 'barokokok' were found. The word, which was originally a taboo word, has now changed its meaning to be positive, namely expressing the expression of the heart, cultural expression in behavior, and containing hyperbolic meaning. The expression is used only in certain circles who understand the function of the words 'jancuk' and 'barokokok'. In its use, it must be accompanied by a supportive expression, namely a smiling, happy, and amazed face and the tone of voice should not be high when the word 'jancuk' is said. This is what distinguishes the expression of the word 'jancuk' from the meaning of the taboo word that has been understood so far and it can be concluded that the word 'jancuk' becomes a positive word when its use is in accordance with the criteria that have been explained.

Abstract

This research highlights the crucial role of governors as regional leaders in conveying messages and policies to the community, especially through opinions published in the mass media. The focus on the use of formal and informal language in the governor's communication, as well as the analysis of sentence patterns in the opinion of the Governor of East Java in the November 25, 2023 edition of Jawa Pos are the main objectives of this study. Content analysis methods are used to evaluate opinion texts, examine sentence types, sentence patterns, and formal and informal language usage. The results showed the dominance of the use of active voice in the governor's opinion, indicating awareness of the subject as the main actor in the message conveyed. Common sentence patterns such as KSPO and SPK are often used, but there are also variations of other patterns that provide a broader dimension in communication. There is also a unique blend of formal and informal language in the governor's text, creating a more personal atmosphere and connecting with the audience more thoroughly. However, the study has limitations, especially in the overall representation of the governor's communication style that may not include all communication strategies in different situations. In conclusion, the study reveals complexity and variation in language use and sentence patterns in governors' opinions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan bahasa dalam teknik wicara publik dr. Aisyah Dahlan di media sosial YouTube yang berjudul “Ngobrol Asyik No Drama dengan Anak”. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana pilihan kata, struktur kalimat, intonasi dan gaya bahasa yang digunakan dr. Aisyah Dahlan selaku Psikolog dan Konselor dalam memberikan edukasi kepada audien melalui teknik wicara publik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan cara melakukan pengamatan langsung terhadap objek penelitian di media sosial YouTube. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa dalam teknik wicara publik yang diterapkan oleh dr. Aisyah Dachlan sangat memengaruhi audien. Penggunaan diksi yang tepat, struktur kalimat yang jelas dan mudah dipahami, intonasi yang variatif, dan gaya bahasa yang menarik dengan memberikan analogi dan humor yang membuat audien terhibur dan nyaman. Selain itu, partisipasi audien dalam media sosial YouTube pada konten “Ngobrol Asyik No Drama dengan Anak” juga dapat dilihat dari interaksi dan komentar positif di kolom diskusi serta jumlah like sebanyak 2.200 dan subcriber 367.000. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa dalam teknik wicara publik dr. Aisyah Dachlan menjadi salah satu kunci keberhasilan yang mampu menggerakkan audien untuk melakukan perubahan dan berinovasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find and reveal the textual and contextual meanings in the dialogue of the Lapor Pak! players in the YouTube “Bercanda Pinggir Jurang”. This study uses a qualitative approach with text analysis methods and content from YouTube broadcasts. The data collection technique used is the technique of listening, speaking, and taking notes, then narrated and documented. The results of the study indicate that there are textual and contextual meanings in the dialogue of the Lapor Pak! players. The textual meaning in the dialogue includes grammatical and lexical aspects. Grammatical meaning includes references, ellipsis, and conjunctions. While the lexical meaning is in the form of repetition and equivalence. The contextual meaning describes an anecdote text, an interesting short story, containing funny, entertaining, and impressive elements. The components of the text contain interesting messages packaged in humor conveyed by the speakers. The message is in the form of satire aimed at our country, Indonesia. The satire made has the aim of making the related parties who protect corruptors aware and change their attitudes. Between textual and contextual meanings, there is a connection that punishment for corruptors does not need to be viewed subjectively, because the law never looks at who the perpetrator is. This story is expected to make readers aware not to side with the wrong person.

Abstract

Abstrak. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membentuk Usaha Kesehatan Jiwa Sekolah (UKJS), meningkatkan pengetahuan kader kesehatan jiwa remaja dan kemampuan dalam mendeteksi kesehatan jiwa teman sebayanya melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan sehingga dapat dilakukan intervensi segera terhadap masalah kesehatan jiwa yang muncul guna mewujudkan sekolah sehat jiwa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui enam tahapan yaitu identifikasi masalah, pembentukan UKJS, rekrutmen kader kesehatan jiwa remaja, pelatihan & pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi serta rencana tindak lanjut. Kegiatan ini diikuti 65 siswa yang terpilih sebagai kader kesehatan jiwa remaja. Hasil pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan dan kemampuan kader kesehatan jiwa menunjukkan perubahan sebelum dan setelah dilakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pengetahuan kader kesehatan jiwa remaja meningkat dari 45,3% menjadi 79,4% dan kemampuan meningkat dari 81,1% menjadi 81,8%. Dengan demikian, terbentuknya UKJS melalui program sekolah sehat jiwa mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan jiwa dan kemampuan kader kesehatan jiwa remaja dalam mendeteksi masalah kesehatan jiwa teman sebayanya. Abstract. This activity aims to form a School Mental Health Services SMHS, increase the knowledge of adolescent mental health cadres and their ability to detect the mental health of their peers through training and mentoring, so that immediate intervention can be carried out on mental health problems that arise in order to create a mentally healthy school. The method of implementing activities is through six stages, namely problem identification, formation of SMHS, recruitment of adolescent mental health cadres, training & direction, monitoring and evaluation, follow-up plans. This activity was attended by 65 students who were selected as mental health cadres. The results of measuring the level of knowledge and abilities of mental health cadres show changes before and after training and mentoring. Knowledge of mental health cadres increased from 45.3% to 79.4% and ability increased from 81.1% to 81.8%. Thus, establishment of SMHS through the mentally healthy school program shows an increase in the knowledge about mental health and ability of mental health cadres to detect mental health problems in their peers.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find the educational values ​​contained in the Tafsir Ibnu Katsir Juz 21 by Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad 'Alu Shaykh. The method used in this type of qualitative research is content analysis techniques. The data were obtained through identification based on a structural analysis approach from the translated text in Tafsir Ibnu Katsir Juz 21, which consists of 5 letters consisting of 180 verses. That is QS. Al-Ankabut, Ar-Rum, Luqman, As-Sajdah, and Al-Ahzab. Based on the research findings in Tafsir Ibnu Katsir Juz 21 contains educational values ​​as much as 186 verses, 19 verses in the form of intellectual education values, 4 verses in the form of aesthetics, 31 verses in the form of moral education values, 127 verses in the form of religious education, 1 verse in the form of social education, 1 verse in the form of citizenship education, 3 verses in the form of physical education. Meanwhile, the value of skills education was not found in this analysis. As for the interpretation of the analyzed data, it can be concluded that the value of religious education is in the form of aqidah or belief in God as God who created the universe in everything. Meanwhile, the value of intellectual education describes the knowledge of the process of its creation. The creation is perfected in a form that is beautifully described in a verse which contains the value of aesthetic education. The physical strength of humans as a result of the perfection is explained in the verse which contains the value of physical education. Manners and human behavior are described in several verses which contain the value of moral education. The scope of human life in communicating between fellow and state is described in a verse which contains the value of social education and citizenship.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the online news discourse contained in the "Kedaulatan Rakyat" newspaper entitled "Perjuangan Berat Menjaga Bahasa Jawa", which was published on November 30, 2023 and is on page 11. In this discourse, the researcher wants to deconstruct opinion news information in the realm of news structure, the purpose of using language in the article, and the style of language used by the author named Sarworo Soeprapto. The method used is the textual analysis method combined with the concept of deconstruction. While the qualitative method is a research procedure that produces descriptive data. The results of the study illustrate that the first structure in the form of an introduction is presented with a unique paragraph and attracts the attention of readers, namely in the form of a quote from a Javanese campursari song that is currently a hit, namely a song entitled "Nemen". The presentation of a brief background or context regarding the topic to be discussed and describing the issues or problems that are the focus of the opinion is presented appropriately. The second structure, the content section, reviews the author's opinions and views on the issues discussed with precise and clear explanations accompanied by the author's opinions and facts in the field. The third structure in the form of a conclusion, the author concludes and recapitulates the arguments explained and strengthens his opinion statement. The purpose of the article is to express the subjective opinion of the author, build awareness and understanding, and encourage change and action. In addition, the style of language also plays a role in this article. The use of good and easy-to-understand grammar but there is also an idiomatic style of language in the word 'macan ompong' which means someone who looks fierce and scary but actually can't do anything or more simply a ruler without power, something that looks strong but is actually weak. Practitioners of Javanese language stakeholders who have a strong role as motivators and language improvers are unable to show real action in the field on the grounds of weak funds and human resources.
