Abstract

Heavy lift delivery activities are complex and complicated, the handling process is also different when compared to loads in general due to excess dimension factors, both length, width, and height. There are constraints and risks in the delivery of heavy equipment. This study aims to analyze operational risks arising from heavy equipment delivery activities at PT Daily Express Cargo. By analyzing the risks that may occur, it is expected that the company can take the right decisions and actions to overcome the risks. The research method used is the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) method with descriptive analysis and qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through in-person interviews and questionnaires. In this study, twenty operational risks were found. After identification and risk assessment, there are four risk levels, namely high, medium, low, and very low levels. At a high level there are 2 risks, at a medium level there are 5 risks, at a low level there are 5 risks, and at a very low level there are 8 risks. Each risk that arises requires appropriate risk control tailored to its type

Abstract

This research addresses the challenges faced by UMKM Rumah Roti, a small bakery in Ciracas, Indonesia, regarding declining profits due to suboptimal use of e-commerce, promotional strategies, and production capacity. By employing system dynamics simulation, the study analyzes the impact of various business strategies on profitability. Seven business scenarios were modeled to identify the most effective combination of strategies. Simulation results indicate that integrating e-commerce, effective promotions, and investments in production capacity (such as additional ovens) significantly increase income and profits. The study recommends implementing a comprehensive, data-driven strategy based on simulation outcomes to optimize business performance, highlighting the importance of systematic planning and data-driven decision-making in navigating a competitive market environment.

Abstract

The culinary industry is one of the rapidly growing MSME sectors, as food is a primary necessity that is constantly in demand. Donuts are among the most popular snack products, favored for their soft texture, delicious taste, and attractive topping variations. However, the high consumer interest also creates intense business competition, with many new entrepreneurs offering innovative flavors and diverse marketing strategies. This condition requires MSMEs to maintain product quality while adapting to consumer needs and preferences. UMKM X, a donut producer established in Bandung since 2008, faces this challenge despite having a relatively large production capacity. On average, 7,200 donuts remain unsold each month, posing potential losses since donuts have only a one-day shelf life, leading to product waste or discounted sales. This study applies the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method with the House of Quality (HOQ) analysis tool to identify customer needs and benefits, measure levels of importance and satisfaction, and map out product attributes that require improvement based on their relationship to technical characteristics. The findings indicate that the most important attributes for consumers are soft and fluffy donut texture (average score 4.78), good taste (4.71), and friendly service (4.64). Meanwhile, the highest satisfaction level is affordability across consumer groups (4.15), while the lowest is topping or filling variations that are not overly sweet (3.1). Based on these results, priority improvements for UMKM X include enhancing topping variety, improving donut texture, and strengthening taste quality to maintain customer satisfaction and achieve greater profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the synergistic effect of Seiton (systematic arrangement) and inventory data accuracy on the efficiency of item retrieval time in the i3L laboratory warehouse. A pre-post intervention design with multiple linear regression analysis was employed. Data were collected through 5S audits, distance measurements, time studies, and stock opname. Results showed significant improvements in Seiton scores (from 2.1 to 4.6), inventory accuracy (from 67% to 97%), and a reduction in retrieval time (from 1256 minutes to 45 minutes). Regression analysis indicated that both independent variables had a significant negative effect on retrieval time (p < 0.005), with an R² value of 0.78. This suggests that 78% of the variation in retrieval time can be explained by the combination of Seiton and data accuracy. The findings underscore the importance of integrating physical organization and data accuracy in warehouse management. It is recommended to implement 5S integrated with periodic data audits to support logistics efficiency and productivity.
