Abstract

LPG distribution in Compreng Subdistrict faces challenges in terms of inadequate road infrastructure and fluctuating demand. This study aims to analyze the performance of the LPG distribution network using the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) method to optimize distribution routes. Primary data were collected through observation and interviews, then processed using VRP to produce optimal routes considering vehicle capacity and customer demand. The results showed that optimal distribution routes could reduce travel distance and operational costs, thus improving the efficiency of LPG distribution.

Abstract

This research addresses the challenges faced by UMKM Rumah Roti, a small bakery in Ciracas, Indonesia, regarding declining profits due to suboptimal use of e-commerce, promotional strategies, and production capacity. By employing system dynamics simulation, the study analyzes the impact of various business strategies on profitability. Seven business scenarios were modeled to identify the most effective combination of strategies. Simulation results indicate that integrating e-commerce, effective promotions, and investments in production capacity (such as additional ovens) significantly increase income and profits. The study recommends implementing a comprehensive, data-driven strategy based on simulation outcomes to optimize business performance, highlighting the importance of systematic planning and data-driven decision-making in navigating a competitive market environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the synergistic effect of Seiton (systematic arrangement) and inventory data accuracy on the efficiency of item retrieval time in the i3L laboratory warehouse. A pre-post intervention design with multiple linear regression analysis was employed. Data were collected through 5S audits, distance measurements, time studies, and stock opname. Results showed significant improvements in Seiton scores (from 2.1 to 4.6), inventory accuracy (from 67% to 97%), and a reduction in retrieval time (from 1256 minutes to 45 minutes). Regression analysis indicated that both independent variables had a significant negative effect on retrieval time (p < 0.005), with an R² value of 0.78. This suggests that 78% of the variation in retrieval time can be explained by the combination of Seiton and data accuracy. The findings underscore the importance of integrating physical organization and data accuracy in warehouse management. It is recommended to implement 5S integrated with periodic data audits to support logistics efficiency and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of warehouse layout redesign on operational performance at PT Asta Nadi Karya Utama. The research method employs a quantitative approach with a before-after comparative analysis design. Data were collected through structured observation and performance measurements of 30 sample items during August–September 2025. Statistical analysis results show significant improvements in all performance indicators: item retrieval time decreased by 64.4% (from 8.03 minutes to 2.86 minutes, p < 0.001, d = 2.16), inventory accuracy increased by 20.0% (from 78.5% to 94.2%, p < 0.001, d = 1.32), vertical space utilization increased by 106.8% (from 35.2% to 72.8%, p < 0.001, d = 2.15), and operator productivity increased by 127.4% (from 18.6 to 42.3 items/hour, p < 0.001, d = 1.67). These findings confirm that layout redesign through zoning system implementation and vertical space optimization significantly improves warehouse operational efficiency.
