Abstract

The energy crisis is one of the major problems facing the world today, especially electrical energy. Supercapacitors are an alternative solution as an electrical energy storage divais. In this study, batik kawangkoan peanut shell samples have been successfully modified into activated carbon as a supercapacitor electrode. The carbonization process is given a carbonization temperature treatment of 350oC, 400oC, 450oC, 500oC, 550oC which is activated using a 7 M KOH solution by heating in a furnace at 750oC to produce a voltage of 0.966 V, 1.273 V, respectively, 1.295 V, 1.325 V, 1.654 V and currents of 18.56 mA, 23.43 mA, 26.47 mA, 30.53 mA, 48.24 mA which shows that there is a change in the value of current and voltage in supercapacitors, and the best sample is in the sample with 550oC carbonization temperature treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that carbonization temperature has an influence on the current and voltage characteristics of supercapacitor electrodes.

Abstract

The current energy needs are increasing due to technological advances and the increasing number of technology users. So, to solve this problem, it is necessary to make major changes and energy renewal by using alternative energy. One of the utilization of alternative energy is energy storage devices such as supercapacitors. In this study, a test was carried out on the activation of coconut stem waste as a supercapacitor electrode with variations in KOH electrolyte, namely 6M, 7M, 8M which produced voltages of 1.254 V, 1.187 V, 1.105 V and produced currents of 87.2 mA, 46.52 mA, 25.38 mA respectively. Based on the results of the study, it showed a decrease in the concentration of electrolytes 6M, 7M, 8M. So it can be concluded that different electrolytes have a significant effect on the voltage and electric current values produced by the supercapacitor electrodes.

Abstract

The natural exploration approach (JAS) is used to utilize the surrounding natural environment as an object of knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the JAS approach on wave material on student learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that the experimental class produced an average pretest score of 6.14, and after learning using the natural exploration approach (JAS), the average posttest score was 63.66. The control class had an average pretest score of 4.42 and an average posttest score of 40. A statistical analysis using an independent sample t-test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 <0.05, thus rejecting and accepting . Based on the results, it can be stated that the use of the natural exploration approach (JAS) has an effect on student learning outcomes.
