Abstract

Situs Liyangan merupakan situs yang meliputi area pemujaan, hunian, dan pertanian yang memiliki potensi sejarah dan budaya terkait peradaban manusia. Penelitian intensif yang dilakukan terhadap situs ini sejak tahun 2009 menunjukkan bahwa pada masa kuno, situs ini diperkirakan berada pada rentang abad VI hingga masa kejayaan Mataram Kuno, abad X M. Oleh karenanya, informasi-informasi mengenai hasil penelitian situs ini harus dipublikasikan agar diketahui oleh masyarakat dengan berbagai cara, salah satunya adalah melalui poster. Poster merupakan media penyampai informasi yang dianggap efektif untuk digunakan pada suatu kondisi yang sasaran penerima informasi tersebut adalah orang-orang yang dinamis atau selalu bergerak. Poster harus memiliki kekuatan visual agar mampu menarik perhatian orang untuk melihat dan mengamati isi informasinya. Balai Arkeologi Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta bekerja sama dengan FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta melaksanakan lokakarya fotografi dan pembuatan poster selama 8 hari kepada 32 peserta yang merupakan siswa dan siswi SMA/SMK/MA di Kabupaten Temanggung dan 8 peserta yang merupakan warga Dusun Liyangan. Metode pelatihan berupa presentasi penyampaian materi, praktik, konsultasi, dan pendampingan langsung. Hasil lokakarya ini adalah terciptanya 10 poster mengenai berbagai aspek tentang Situs Liyangan dari aspek pertanian kuno dan modern, aspek kebencanaan, aspek sejarah, aspek pengelolaan air, hingga aspek potensi wisata. Poster yang dihasilkan peserta lokakarya dipasang di Pojok Rumah Peradaban Situs Liyangan menggantikan poster lama yang diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi yang lebih komprehensif mengenai hasil-hasil penelitian terbaru tentang Situs Liyangan. The Liyangan site is a site that includes areas of worship, housing and agriculture that have historical and cultural potential related to human civilization. Intensive research conducted on this site since 2009 shows that in ancient times, this site was estimated to be in the range of the VI century to the heyday of the Ancient Mataram, X century AD. society in various ways, one of which is through posters. Posters are a medium for conveying information that is considered effective for use in conditions where the target recipients of the information are dynamic thing or always on the move such as people. Posters must have visual strength to be able to attract people's attention to see and observe the information content.  D. I. Yogyakarta Provincial Archaeological Center in collaboration with FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta conducted an eight-day photography and poster-making workshop for 32 participants who were high school students in Temanggung Regency and eight participants who were residents of Liyangan Hamlet. The training method was in the form of material delivery presentations, practice, consultation, and direct assistance. The result of this lokakarya is the creation of 10 posters regarding various aspects of the Liyangan Site, starting from ancient and modern agricultural aspects, disaster aspects, historical aspects, water management aspects, to tourism potential aspects. The poster produced by the workshop participants was installed in the Corner of the Liyangan Site Civilization House to replace the old poster which is expected to provide more comprehensive information regarding the results of the latest research on the Liyangan Site.

Abstract

Dalam era fotografi digital, warna menjadi elemen krusial dalam membentuk komposisi dan menonjolkan objek tertentu, terutama karena masyarakat kini lebih akrab dengan fotografi berwarna dibandingkan era film hitam putih. Penelitian ini menganalisis gaya pewarnaan dalam fotografi melalui karya Risman Marah, khususnya karya-karyanya yang ditampilkan pada pameran RUMAKET di Museum Sonobudoyo, Yogyakarta, pada 25-27 September 2021. Karya fotografi Risman Marah yang berfokus pada metode penciptaan foto pewayangan yang mencerminkan nilai budaya Indonesia melalui penggunaan konsep mendalam, pemilihan tokoh wayang, dan pengaturan adegan yang cermat. Gaya pewarnaan seperti vintage atau retro coloring, selective color, color grading, dan split toning digunakan untuk menciptakan suasana klasik, mistis, dan dramatis, yang memperkaya kekuatan visual dan mempertahankan nilai-nilai tradisional dalam karyanya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan warna-warna tersebut efektif dalam menambah karakter dan kedalaman pada fotografi pewayangan, serta mendukung narasi visual dan emosi dalam karya Risman Marah.Coloring Style in Photography through the Works of Risman Marah. In the era of digital photography, color has become a crucial element in shaping composition and highlighting specific objects, particularly because society is now more familiar with colored photography compared to the black-and-white film era. This study analyzes the coloring styles in photography through the works of Risman Marah, specifically his pieces displayed at the RUMAKET exhibition at the Sonobudoyo Museum, Yogyakarta, from September 25-27, 2021. Risman Marah's photography focuses on the method of creating wayang photography that reflects Indonesian cultural values through the use of deep conceptualization, careful selection of wayang characters, and meticulous scene arrangement. Color styles such as vintage or retro coloring, selective color, color grading, and split toning are employed to create a classic, mystical, and dramatic atmosphere, enriching the visual strength and preserving the traditional values in his works. The results of this study indicate that the use of these colors is effective in adding character and depth to wayang photography

Abstract

Photography faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic due to restrictions on space for in-person meetings, while previous photo shoots required in-person meetings. During this period, technological and industrial developments began to be introduced in the era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0, but their popularity was overshadowed by information about COVID-19. This paper aims to determine the strategies of photographers in facing the challenges of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. The method used is qualitative, with data collection through archival/document studies and literature studies. Albert Joseph Toynbee's challenge and response theory is used to discuss these issues. COVID-19 has also influenced photography in finding strategies for professional photography practice. One of these is virtual photoshoots or remote photography. The challenges of photography have become increasingly complex with the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Photographers are also facing new challenges. This condition is addressed by considering the convenience offered by AI, namely, combining AI results with photography for photo functions used for promotions or business

Abstract

Dokumenter “Mereka” merupakan proyek jangka panjang, menceritakan kisah hidup tokoh yang tekun dan berdedikasi di bidangnya masing-masing. Pemilihan genre biografi sebagai cara tutur memudahkan penonton untuk mengikuti rangkaian peristiwa yang dialami tokoh hingga membentuk ekspresi personal dalam setiap karya-karyanya. Dokumenter biografi seringkali digunakan sebagai media untuk menginspirasi dan memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam dari subjek filmnya. Episode kali ini, membahas ekspresi personal Risman Marah sebagai seorang maestro fotografer. Risman Marah, bukan nama asing bagi dunia fotografi Indonesia. Karya, kepakaran, hingga dedikasinya tak perlu diragukan lagi. Namun, seperti apa kehidupan Risman Marah dahulu kala? Tempaan alam dan kondisi seperti apa hingga ia menemukan jalurnya dalam fotografi. Kisah-kisah di luar proses memotret diyakini juga memiliki andil yang besar dalam kiprahnya pada dunia fotografi, baik sebagai pendidik maupun praktisi. Pertanyaan-pertanyaan tadi akan dirumuskan dengan membongkar arsip visual subjek dan diceritakan kembali lewat medium film dokumenter guna menjadi satu pemahaman tentang kisah hidup, cara berpikir, dan berkarya. Metode penciptaan film dokumenter menggunakan tahapan pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi. Sedangkan hasil dari penciptaan film dokumenter akan dipublikasikan menggunakan media sosial sebagai medium promosi sekaligus edukasi dikarenakan kecenderungan akses masyarakat hari ini lebih dominan pada platform tersebut.Documentary Film “Mereka”: Episode of Risman Marah’s Personal Expression In Creating” Biography Genre As An Educational Medium. The documentary "Mereka" is a long-term project that tells the life stories of individuals who are diligent and dedicated in their respective fields. The choice of biography as a storytelling genre makes it easier for the audience to follow the series of events experienced by these individuals, leading to the formation of their personal expressions in each of their works. Biographical documentaries are often used as a means to inspire and provide a deeper understanding of the film's subjects. In this episode, we will delve into the personal expression of Risman Marah, a master photographer. Risman Marah is not an unfamiliar name in the world of Indonesian photography. His work, expertise, and dedication need no further confirmation. However, what was Risman Marah's life like in the past? How did the natural environment and conditions of that time influence his journey in the world of photography? It is believed that the stories beyond the photography process also play a significant role in his contributions to the world of photography, both as an educator and practitioner. These questions will be addressed by exploring visual archives of the subject and retelling them through the medium of a documentary film to provide a comprehensive understanding of Risman Marah's life, thoughts, and works. The documentary filmmaking process involves pre-production, production, and post-production stages. The results of this documentary will be published through social media as a means of promotion and education, considering that current society tends to be more dominant on that platform.
