Abstract

This study is motivated by the low levels of academic responsibility among students, which remains challenging in the educational environment. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of classical guidance services using the case method technique to improve students' academic responsibility. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. The intervention was conducted in seven sessions over one month, involving 32 eleventh-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an academic responsibility scale developed based on Mergler's (2017) theory, with instrument validity ranging from 0.323 to 0.503 and reliability of 0.778. The analysis results using a t-test showed a t-value of 12.673 with a p-value <0.001, indicating that classical guidance services using the case method technique effectively enhanced students' academic responsibility. These findings can serve as a reference for developing strategies to improve students' academic responsibility and support teaching and learning activities in schools. Future research will explore different variables, interventions, and methods to broaden insights and compare findings

Abstract

Elderly is characterized by a variety of changes and issues, such as issues with the biological, psychological, and social facets of life. Elderly may experience stress due to the numerous changes and issues that arise. One way to overcome the stress is by fulfilling the well-being of spirituality. Methods: The research is a quantitative study using a descriptive correlational design and a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of 92 elderly individuals with inclusion criteria of being ? 60 years old and Muslim, using purposive sampling technique in Kubang Jaya Village. Data were analyzed using the chi-square statistical test. Result: It was found that the majority of the elderly have high spiritual well-being with a normal stress level of 41 (44.6%) elderly. The results of the chi-square test indicate a significant relationship between spiritual well-being and stress levels in the elderly, with a p-value of 0.004. Conclusion: The higher the spiritual well-being, the lower the stress levels in the elderly.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students who are taught physics using the discussion method on the knowledge, attitudes, and understanding of students about learning physics. This research was conducted at Tidar University to students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Science Education study program. Based on research and data analysis that has been carried out on students of the Science Education study program, it is hoped that all students can carry out good learning activities and will increase students' understanding of knowledge, attitudes, and understanding in learning physics. Abstract

Penurunan mobilitas pada lansia dapat berdampak pada kemandirian dan kualitas hidup, serta meningkatkan risiko masalah kesehatan seperti hipertensi. Terapi genggam bola merupakan latihan fisik sederhana yang dapat meningkatkan kekuatan otot tangan, melancarkan sirkulasi darah, dan memberikan efek relaksasi psikis. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kemandirian lansia melalui pelatihan terapi genggam bola di Panti Sosial Kota Pekanbaru. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi edukasi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi, dengan pengukuran tekanan darah sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 18 Agustus 2025, diikuti oleh 10 lansia berusia ≥ 60 tahun. Hasil menunjukkan seluruh peserta mampu melakukan terapi secara mandiri dan mengalami penurunan tekanan darah sistolik rata-rata ±14 mmHg serta diastolik ±9 mmHg. Peserta juga menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan peningkatan motivasi untuk melakukan latihan secara rutin. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa terapi genggam bola efektif sebagai intervensi non-farmakologis yang murah, mudah, dan dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam program pembinaan kesehatan lansia di panti sosial maupun komunitas.
