Abstract

This study aims to examine the obstacles to meeting learning standards at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDTA) in Baleendah District, Bandung Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach with case studies. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Five MDTA heads are the source of data, namely from MDT Zahratun Nisa, MDT Baitul 'Arif, MDT Ummul Fahmi, MDT Al Jihad, and MDT Husnul Khotimah. The results of the study show that the main obstacles faced include limited infrastructure, low competence of educators, and lack of support from parents and the community. The strategies used by individual principals vary, from seeking external support to improving teacher discipline and motivation. This study provides recommendations for improving teacher competence, collaboration with external parties, and increasing the participation of parents and the community in supporting the quality of learning at MDTA. With greater support from various parties, MDTA can significantly improve the quality of its learning. Keywords: Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah; learning standards; infrastructure, educator competence; parent participation

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) learning on the comprehension of Islamic religious subjects at Jatimekar State Elementary School in Baleendah District, Bandung Regency. The research addresses the observed differences in religious lesson comprehension between elementary and early education. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental model was employed, involving 84 sixth-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. Data was collected through comprehension tests covering PAI material from Chapters 1 to 4 and questionnaires. The analysis revealed that students who participated in MDTA learning had a better understanding of Islamic religious material compared to those who did not. These findings suggest that MDTA learning significantly enhances the comprehension of Islamic religious subjects in elementary schools. The study advocates for stronger synergy between early and formal education to improve the quality of Islamic religious learning. This research aims to inform more effective education policies to enhance the quality of religious education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kenyamanan belajar di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa. Kenyamanan belajar dianggap sebagai faktor kunci yang dapat memengaruhi keberhasilan pendidikan agama di tingkat dasar. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru madrasah dalam meningkatkan kenyamanan belajar siswa di lingkungan MDTA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan guru, observasi partisipatif di dalam kelas, serta analisis dokumen pendukung. Penelitian dilakukan di MDTA Al-Jazeera BMI, Bandung, dengan subjek penelitian adalah guru madrasah yang memiliki pengalaman dalam pengelolaan kelas dan interaksi langsung dengan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kenyamanan belajar sangat memengaruhi fokus, motivasi, serta pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran yang diajarkan. Beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman termasuk keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, keberagaman perilaku siswa, dan kurangnya pelatihan dalam manajemen kelas. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai, peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan yang berkelanjutan, serta penerapan pendekatan yang lebih personal dalam pengelolaan kesejahteraan siswa. Dengan demikian, upaya peningkatan kenyamanan belajar di MDTA diharapkan dapat berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan pencapaian akademik siswa di bidang pendidikan agama Islam

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang digunakan oleh Kepala Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) di Kecamatan Baleendah, Kabupaten Bandung dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran berdasarkan Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed method dengan desain Sequential Exploratory Design. Data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan lima Kepala MDTA yang terpilih, kemudian diikuti dengan pengumpulan data kuantitatif melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 45 Kepala MDTA di kecamatan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi Kepala MDTA sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran melalui implementasi SPM. Strategi yang diterapkan termasuk pengembangan kurikulum yang relevan, pelatihan profesional guru, pengelolaan sarana prasarana, serta inovasi dalam metode pembelajaran. Temuan dari wawancara dan survei menunjukkan bahwa 88% responden setuju bahwa penerapan SPM di madrasah mereka berjalan dengan baik dan secara langsung berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Selain itu, 71% responden menyetujui bahwa inovasi dalam metode pengajaran, seperti penggunaan teknologi, berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar santri. Implementasi SPM juga ditemukan berfungsi sebagai mediasi yang memperkuat hubungan antara strategi kepala madrasah dengan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepala MDTA yang mampu menerapkan strategi manajerial yang baik dan mematuhi SPM akan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih efektif dan berkualitas.

Abstract

Sustainable education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources (HR) in the era of globalization. This study aims to analyze the concept and application of education sustainability in an effort to improve the quality of human resources, as well as identify factors that affect education sustainability and the policies that support it. The approach used in this study is descriptive with a literature review method, by collecting data from scientific journals, official government reports, and related articles. The results of the study show that the sustainability of education does not only depend on academic quality, but also on the development of individual skills, character, and adaptability to changing times. Continuing education must be responsive to rapid technological, economic, and social developments. In this case, education policies that support improving the quality of teachers, equitable access to education, and integrating technology are important factors in achieving the goal of quality and inclusive education. The Indonesian government has implemented various policies, such as teacher certification programs, continuous training, and teacher professional development to improve the competence of educators. However, the main challenges faced are the gap in access to education between regions, as well as the need to adapt the curriculum to technological developments and the job market. This study concludes that the sustainability of education is an important long-term investment in shaping a generation that is ready to compete at the global level.

Abstract

The Tahfidz method strategically improves students' Qur'an literacy, especially in tajwid, fluency, and memorization. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Tahfidz method in increasing the memorization capacity of the Qur'an of grade 6 students of SDN Jatimekar through a pseudo-experimental approach with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. 72 students were divided into an experimental group (Tahfidz method, n=36) and a control group (conventional method, n=36). The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between the average final test score of the experimental group (82) and the control group (78), with t(70) = 4.094, p < 0.05. The Tahfidz method has been proven to significantly increase the memorization capacity of the Qur'an, especially in the application of Tajwid and fluency in reading. The study offered novelty through the correlation of the intensity of the Tahfidz method with the improvement of students' abilities, showing a significant positive relationship (r = 0.917, p < 0.05). The implications of this research include integrating the Tahfidz method in the curriculum, teacher training for the effective application of methods, and using technology such as gamification to overcome time constraints and student motivation. This research makes an important contribution to the development of national Qur'an literacy and becomes a practical reference for educators and policymakers to improve the quality of Islamic religious education.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia faces a significant challenge in maintaining quality and relevance amid globalization and technological disruption. Although pesantren plays a central role in shaping Islamic character, there is still limited study of the effectiveness of pesantren-based management in improving the quality of education. This study aims to examine how pesantren-based management models integrate Islamic values into the governance of educational institutions to strengthen the quality of Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach based on a literature study, by examining relevant scientific and policy literature to analyze the contribution of pesantren-based management to improving the quality of Islamic education. The findings suggest that this model focuses on three main aspects: (1) Islamic leadership; (2) integrative curriculum management; and (3) community-based collective participation. The three encourage technology-based learning innovation, establishing autonomous business units, and strengthening teacher capacity. However, significant challenges such as limited human resources, unequal access to technology, and resistance to change remain significant obstacles. This study concludes that pesantren-based management remains relevant as a strategy to improve the quality of Islamic education, which is rooted in traditional values but adaptive to change. The implication is that strategic partnerships between Islamic boarding schools, the government, and external partners are needed to support the sustainability and expansion of the impact of this transformation.
