Abstract

The role of leadership in the management of Islamic educational institutions is very crucial to achieving the institution's vision and mission. Effective leaders not only act as directors, but also as inspirers and motivators for all staff and students. Good leadership is able to create a conducive environment for learning and teaching, as well as ensuring that Islamic values are integrated in all aspects of education. In addition, leaders must have strong managerial skills to manage resources efficiently, improve the quality of education, and overcome various challenges that may arise. Strong and visionary leadership is the key to the success of Islamic educational institutions. In this research we used qualitative research methods with valid data in the form of documentation. The conclusion of this research is that the principal is able to carry out his role well as the highest leader in the madrasah he leads.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the evaluation of the principal's performance in curriculum development at the UPT SMP Negeri 35 Medan school. In this research, the method used is descriptive qualitative research method and the data obtained is from the results of interviews, observations and documentation at UPT SMP Negeri 35 Medan school. In curriculum development, school principals need to cooperate with other parties in evaluating curriculum development. Because the principal will not be able to carry out all his duties well by himself. Need good cooperation with other teachers and the government in handling funds in order to form a good and correct curriculum development. Which is where the curriculum is a very important and decisive component in organizing education. As well as the curriculum also functions as a tool for achieving educational goals, if educational goals change then automatically the curriculum must also be changed.
