Abstract

Abstract

The results of this study indicate that the use of the QRIS payment system has a positive and significant effect on the economic development of MSMEs in Jayapura Regency. This can be interpreted to mean that the use of the QRIS payment system has a positive impact on increasing the income of MSMEs in Jayapura Regency (t-count value of 5.782 t-table value of 1.701, and a significance value for the QRIS payment system variable (X) of 0.000 0.05). Furthermore, based on statements from MSME respondents in Jayapura Regency who use QRIS, several constraints were identified, namely: some users still do not fully understand how to use QRIS, network connectivity issues, delays in real-time/instant fund disbursement, the existence of QRIS usage fees charged to merchants, and the absence of transaction fee discounts or promotions as offered by payment applications such as OVO, GoPay, and others. However, these constraints are perceived as not having a significant overall impact on their business income. This is evidenced by the fact that out of 30 respondents, only 19 respondents stated that these constraints did not significantly affect their business income.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out as Career Planning and Development Training for Young Workers in Buper Waena, Jayapura City, in response to the high open unemployment rate among the productive age group. The main problems faced by participants were a lack of knowledge about career management, limitations in structuring career plans, and a lack of professional networking skills. The implementation method included the planning stage (preparation of materials and coordination with partners), implementation (socialization of career management, practice of SMART-based career plan development, and communication and networking simulations), and evaluation (pre- and post-tests and practice observation). The activity results showed a significant increase in knowledge, with the average pre-test score of 76% increasing to 100% in the post-test. Skills were also optimally achieved, with all participants (100%) able to develop SMART career plans, map professional networks through the Webbed approach, and demonstrate good to excellent professional communication skills. The impact of the activity included increased individual career awareness, the readiness of the young workforce to face the job market, and the strengthening of institutional networks with the Jayapura City Manpower Office. Thus, this activity not only increased conceptual understanding but also built relevant applied competencies, improving the competitiveness of the young workforce.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the financial reporting competency of early-stage SME owners in Jayapura through a microlearning-based training approach. A total of 40 participants were selected through online registration. The program was structured in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Results indicated a significant increase in participant knowledge: the average pre-test score was 37.8%, rising to 88.5% in the post-test, 50.7 percentage point improvement. The greatest gain was observed in understanding of balance sheet concepts (+65 percentage points). Participants reported heightened confidence in preparing basic financial records independently. The findings confirm that microlearning, which structures content into focused 3–5 minute units, is highly effective for time-constrained SME practitioners. This activity aligns with SDG Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)
