Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to describe or illustrate the implementation of realistic mathematics learning as a solution to improve the learning outcomes of class II students at SD Negeri 30 Manganti. The PMR approach that links mathematical concepts with real contexts is expected to increase student confidence, motivation in learning, activeness and understanding through the use of concrete media. The methods used in this study include discussions to develop students' critical thinking skills and student completeness which is calculated using the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) guidelines by calculating the number of students who have completed and the percentage of classical completeness. This study shows an increase in the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SD Negeri 30 Manganti on measurement material after the implementation of realistic mathematics learning. at the end of cycle I, the average student score reached 81.75 with 5 students completing and 3 students not completing while at the end of cycle II the average score increased to 91.87 with 7 students completing and only 1 student not completing. These results identify that realistic mathematics learning is effective in improving student understanding so that the target of learning completeness can be achieved in cycle II.

Abstract

This volunteer study was conducted due to the lack of students’ motivation in learning mathematics at SMKN 2 of Padang. The study was aimed to helped students become motivated in learning mathematics. Learning motivation was provided to the students and followed by Sudoku game to sharpen their thinking ability. For the students who can do it fastest and correctly are given reward. By doing this activities, the students seem to be motivated and carious in learning the subject. The activity is relevant to the finding of some studies conducted in advance concerning with motivation in learning mathematics.

Abstract

The background to this service is due to the students' lack of understanding of mathematical concepts at MIN 1 Padang City, especially regarding geometry in flat shapes. This activity aims to help students easily understand the concept of flat shapes. Geometry material is conveyed through tangram games. From a square piece of paper, students are asked to cut it into 7 flat shapes consisting of 2 large triangles, 1 medium sized triangle, 2 small triangles and 1 square, and 1 parallelogram. After students are able to do it, then students are asked to measure it and calculate the area of the flat shape. By providing this counseling, it can be seen that students appear enthusiastic and enthusiastic in learning mathematics and are able to complete the tangram game well. This is in accordance with the results of research conducted by several people who focused on discussing tangram.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education by using the Numbered Heads Together model.. The type of research used is PTK (Classroom Action Research) with steps including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. steps include planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisted of two meetings and ended with a test. Subjects in this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Taratak Baru, Sijunjung. The research instruments used include observation sheets teacher activity observation sheet, student affective assessment sheet, test sheet. Based on the results data analysis obtained the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in cycle I was 31.81% with an average of 72.95, increasing in cycle II by 90.90% with an average of 84.54. with an average of 84.54. Meanwhile, the completeness of students' affective learning outcomes in the cycle I, obtained by 49.49% with an average of 73.48, increased in cycle II by 84.08% with an average of 84.54. cycle II amounted to 84.08% with an average of 93.93. From the research results it can be It can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together model can improve the cognitive and affective aspects of learning outcomes of grade IV students at SD Negeri 1 Taratak Baru Sijunjung.

Abstract

A curriculum is an educational design that has a position and influences educational activities. Changes from the KTSP curriculum to the 2013 curriculum influence teachers to experience obstacles to the implementation in the learning process. The 2013 curriculum includes five learning aspects; observation, question, collection, association, and communication. Students have learned mathematics at school. Mathematics learning is one of the learnings that can improve students’ logical thinking, analytical, systematic, critical, innovative, and creative skills, and can make students being cooperative in mathematics learning. This mathematics learning is assumed to be difficult to accept for students. Hence, this research is conducted to identify teachers' difficulties in arranging learning tools and activities. The results indicate that there are three activities in the teaching and learning processes in the 2013 curriculum, they are initial, core, and final activities. In the initial activity, the teacher has difficulty in designing lesson plans and allocating learning time. In the core activity, the teacher has difficulty making students focus on the teaching and learning process. In the final activity, the teacher has difficulty directing and helping students to make conclusions about the learning so it was difficult for the teacher to evaluate the learning proces.
