Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between students' understanding of Islamic legal ethics with anti-corruption and deradicalization education. Using a mixed methods approach with explanatory sequential design, this study combines quantitative analysis using the Spearman correlation test and qualitative analysis through interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that there is no significant relationship between understanding of Islamic legal ethics with anti-corruption and deradicalization education, as indicated by a significance value of 0.827 (> 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of -0.032 which describes a very weak and negative relationship. This finding supports Alatas' opinion (2006) that understanding ethics and morals is not always directly proportional to real actions in fighting corruption and radicalism. Therefore, it is recommended that anti-corruption and deradicalization education prioritize an applicative approach based on experience and real case studies to increase its effectiveness. Therefore, educational institutions are expected to be able to design a more integrative and multidimensional curriculum to achieve more optimal results in anti-corruption and deradicalization learning.

Abstract

Educators must take control of the philosophical foundations of education for two key reasons. First, education is inherently normative; it requires prescriptive guiding principles, not merely descriptive. A philosophical understanding provides a framework to determine what should be done in education rather than observing it passively. Without such a foundation, education risks being misunderstood or reduced to mere technical practices, ignoring its deeper humanistic and moral dimensions. Second, while valuable, a purely scientific approach to education is insufficient. Education must be viewed holistically, and philosophy offers that comprehensive lens. Different philosophical schools, including Idealism, Realism, and pragmatism, present varied educational aims and methods interpretations. Among these, Idealism, which this paper focuses on, emphasizes the development of the mind and personality as the core purpose of education. In the Indonesian context, Pancasila serves as the foundational philosophy, shaping the nation's educational values. While exploring global philosophical perspectives is important, educational systems must align with Pancasila to remain culturally and ideologically grounded. Philosophical literacy allows educators to engage with ideas critically, filter those incompatible with national values, and incorporate those that enrich understanding without conflict. By revisiting and strengthening the philosophical foundations of education, especially through the lens of Idealism, educators can better understand their practice's purpose, direction, and ethical dimensions. This, in turn, supports the creation of meaningful, value-based educational experiences beyond procedural knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education in encouraging students to become more critical of social issues. This research methodology uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques to explore how anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education affects students' critical attitudes. In qualitative research, in-depth interviews also allow researchers to collect rich and detailed data for thorough analysis, which allows them to understand thoroughly, deeply, and contextually the experiences of the interviewees. Participants consisted of 15 students from various majors in higher education who had attended anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education programmes. The selection of participants was purposive to ensure diversity of perspectives. The results showed that anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education significantly increased students' awareness of the negative impact of corruption and the importance of integrity. However, some students also expressed concerns about the lack of transparency and accountability on campus, which may hinder the effectiveness of anti-corruption education. Therefore, this study emphasises the need for a more contextual, participatory and sustainable approach in the implementation of anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education, as well as support from various parties to create a conducive environment for the implementation of integrity values.

Abstract

__________________________________________________________________________________________ Management Information Systems (MIS) play a crucial role in improving administrative and academic quality in madrasahs. MTs Arrukhshatul'ulum manages several MIS systems mandated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, including SIMPATIKA (Information System for Madrasah Educators and Education Personnel), SIM-SARPRAS (Infrastructure Information System), EMIS (Education Management Information System), and RDM (Madrasah Digital Report System). This study aimed to analyze the role of MIS operators at MTs Arrukhshatul'ulum, located in Cangkorah Village, Batujajar District, West Bandung Regency, in managing MIS, identifying challenges faced, and proposing optimization strategies. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The study subjects consisted of three groups: MIS operators (2 individuals), the madrasah principal (1 individual), and teachers and administrative staff (5 individuals). MIS operators were selected as key subjects due to their primary role in data entry, processing, and reporting. The madrasah principal was involved to explore managerial perspectives, such as policy support and resource allocation for operators. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews and observations. The collected data were then analyzed using thematic analysis, which aims to identify key patterns and themes within the qualitative data. Thematic analysis involves steps such as data familiarization, coding, theme identification, and interpretation of findings. The study results indicate that MIS operators face challenges such as limited technical training, inadequate infrastructure, and disproportionate workloads. However, support from madrasah leadership, regular training, and workload adjustments can enhance the effectiveness of MIS management. This study recommends strengthening operator competencies and utilizing relevant technology to support modern madrasah governance.
