Abstract

In today's digital era, Augmented Reality (AR) technology is increasingly gaining attention as an innovative tool in marketing and consumer experience. AR offers interactive experiences that combine virtual elements with the real world, giving consumers new ways to interact with goods and brands. This study aims to determine how the use of augmented reality (AR) technology impacts consumer engagement and brand loyalty. Specifically, this research wants to know how interactive experiences with AR affect consumers' level of engagement with a brand and how much that engagement contributes to the formation of brand loyalty. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach and was designed as a survey. AR apps from various brands deploy questionnaires to collect data. The goal of this questionnaire is to measure consumer engagement, user experience with AR, and brand loyalty.  Studies show that the use of augmented reality (AR) significantly increases consumer engagement with brands. Consumers say that interactive and immersive AR experiences make them more interested in the goods and brands. The study found that augmented reality (AR) technology increases consumer engagement and brand loyalty.

Abstract

This study conducted a qualitative systematic literature review (SLR) to critically evaluate recent research on dividend policy, focusing on publications from 2021 to 2025. Using the PRISMA guidelines, the review identified and organized literature into three key categories: theoretical foundations, determinants of dividend decisions, and the outcomes of dividend policy on firm performance. The study highlighted the use of major theories such as Agency Theory, the Cost of Equity Hypothesis, and Signaling Theory, which continue to shape the understanding of dividend behavior. It also examined various internal factors—such as profitability, liquidity, and corporate governance—and external influences, including macroeconomic conditions and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, as significant determinants of dividend decisions. The review found that dividend policies have a notable impact on firm profitability, market valuation, and investor perception, especially in periods of uncertainty. Additionally, the study recognized a growing interest in how ESG considerations influence payout strategies. Future research directions include exploring the integration of ESG metrics into dividend models, examining the role of economic cycles and financial crises (e.g., COVID-19), and assessing the implications of technological advancements and digital finance on dividend strategies and broader corporate governance frameworks.

Abstract

This article undertakes a systematic literature review using a qualitative descriptive method to synthesise existing evidence on digital labour in the live streaming economy. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database on 15 June 2025 using focused Boolean search terms related to digital labour, platform labour, and live streaming. Of 116 initial records, 29 articles published between 2020 and 2025 met the inclusion criteria and were screened based on PRISMA 2020 standards for methodological rigour. The results show that live streaming creators labour under unstable and typically exploitative conditions imposed by platform algorithms and managerial authority. Despite these tensions, creators demonstrate agency through building peer networks, leveraging authenticity, and using community-based strategies of negotiating sponsor and audience expectations. Brokerage strategies, family solidarity, and mutual support serve to cushion precarity and enable autonomy. These findings suggest that creator agency is not an outcome of platforms as such, but of creators' adaptive strategies and social resilience. This review contributes to a larger understanding of the ways in which digital labour is organized, experienced, and contested on live streaming platforms.

Abstract

Profitability is a key indicator of the sustainability of Rural Banks (BPR), which play an important role in supporting local economies. This study systematically reviews the relationship between Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Non-Performing Loans (NPL), and BPR profitability using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Articles were selected from reputable international databases published between 2015 and 2024 based on topic relevance and empirical methodology. The findings reveal that LDR has a positive impact on profitability when managed proportionally, while NPL has a significant negative effect due to increased credit risk. Rural BPR face greater challenges compared to commercial banks because of limited asset diversification and dependence on micro-agricultural sectors. This study highlights the importance of risk management, adaptive regulation, and digitalization of banking services as strategies to enhance BPR performance, and provides theoretical and practical insights for policy and managerial development.

Abstract

Abstract

The proliferation of social media has revolutionized activism, particularly in Global South countries, where traditional forms of protest often face significant constraints. This research examines the rise of digital movements facilitated by social media platforms, focusing on how these tools empower marginalized communities and amplify their voices. The study aims to analyze the strategies employed by activists and the impact of social media on mobilization and advocacy efforts in these regions. A mixed-methods approach was utilized, combining quantitative surveys of social media users involved in activism with qualitative interviews of key activists and organizations. Data were collected from several Global South countries to provide a comprehensive understanding of the digital activism landscape. Findings indicate that social media not only enhances the visibility of social issues but also fosters community building and solidarity among diverse groups. Activists reported increased engagement and reach through digital platforms, which have allowed them to bypass traditional media gatekeepers. The research concludes that social media plays a pivotal role in the resurgence of activism in the Global South, enabling grassroots movements to flourish. While digital tools offer unprecedented opportunities for mobilization, challenges such as misinformation and state repression remain prevalent. This study highlights the need for ongoing research into the dynamics of digital activism, particularly in understanding how social media can be leveraged to sustain movements and promote social change in the Global South. The insights gained contribute to the broader discourse on the evolving nature of activism in the digital era.
