Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of holistic education through bil hikmah communication in building the character of the younger generation in this context, namely students, based on thematic studies of the Qur'an, especially Q.S. Luqman verses 12-19. The era of disruption brings new challenges in character building, so a relevant and holistic approach based on Islamic values is needed. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and literature method with content analysis techniques to examine the values of bil hikmah communication contained in the Qur'an and Hadith. The results show that the main values such as tawhid, responsibility, emotional intelligence, patience, tolerance, love of peace, as well as communication ethics, are important elements in holistic education. The integration of these values supports character education that is more adaptive, spiritual, and relevant to the challenges of the digital era, both in formal and non-formal education environments. This research is expected to be a guide for educators and parents in shaping a noble generation through the bil hikmah communication approach sourced from the Qur'an and Hadith

Abstract

This research aims to examine the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in learning Islamic religious education in schools. CRT is a learning approach that emphasizes recognizing and integrating students' cultural diversity, backgrounds and experiences in the learning process. This study uses qualitative research methods by involving students from various cultural backgrounds and teachers' learning strategies in the learning process. Data was collected through classroom observations during teaching and learning activities and interviews with PAI teachers who implemented CRT. The integration of CRT in PAI learning can help create an inclusive learning environment, promote cross-cultural understanding, improve students' learning abilities and be able to manage the rights of all students in the process. The results of the research are that learning that takes into account students' cultural diversity can create an inclusive learning environment and support the development of strong religious values. This study also provides a more comprehensive view of the importance of recognizing and responding to cultural diversity in the context of religious education, which in turn can improve the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

This verse emphasizes the importance of faith and knowledge as elements that elevate a person's status in the sight of Allah. In Islam, knowledge is not only understood as theoretical insight but must also be actualized through practices aligned with Sharia guidelines. This study employs a qualitative approach with a thematic exegesis method to analyze the relationship between knowledge, action, and etiquette in Islam, highlighting etiquette as a crucial element in the learning process. While previous studies have largely discussed Q.S. Al-Mujadilah verse 11 in the context of the virtue of seeking knowledge, this article places special emphasis on the importance of applying knowledge in daily life. The application of knowledge is deemed essential in shaping noble character, aligned with the goals of national education. Through a review of classical and contemporary exegesis literature, this article concludes that an ideal learning process must be accompanied by etiquette and righteous deeds. This aims to ensure that knowledge does not remain mere theoretical understanding but also provides tangible benefits to individuals and society. Thus, the learning process becomes more holistic, encompassing intellectual, spiritual, and moral aspects. This conclusion supports the view that the integration of knowledge, action, and etiquette is a fundamental pillar in realizing the goals of Islamic education. Such an education is expected to produce individuals who are faithful, knowledgeable, and morally upright, in accordance with Islamic teachings and the nation's noble values.
