Abstract

This study aims to develop the e-book Basic Physics Fluid Series design assisted by virtual laboratory Tracker Video Analysis (TVA) that effectively improves students' critical thinking skills. The method used in this study is Research and Development. The graphic design developed, including illustrations and visual elements, was identified as necessary for improving critical thinking skills. At the same time, practice questions with varying difficulty levels allowed students to apply knowledge. The validation process, including the Content Validity Ratio (CVR) test, underlined high agreement and validity, with suggestions for improvement, including contextual design, material optimization, interactive elements, accessibility considerations, student feedback collection, and curriculum alignment. The test results showed that learning with this e-book effectively improved students' critical thinking skills. The results obtained in the indicator provided a simple explanation, concluding that it shows a high N-gain value. In contrast, several other indicators show moderate values. This e-book design can be a role model for developing similar media, especially related efforts to improve students' Critical Thinking Skills (CTS).

Abstract

Dip coating is a coating method by immersing the material in a solution for a certain time and then removing the material from the dipping place. Dip coating is an effective coating method that adds strength to each coated material and is accurate. Researchers have developed a microcontroller-based dip coater with an automatic calibration system that has 3 main parts, namely the electrical part, the main workspace part, and the power supply part. To determine student satisfaction in using a microcontroller-based dip coater tool with an automatic calibration system that has been developed, an analysis of student satisfaction with the use of the tool that has been developed will be carried out. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of student satisfaction with the microcontroller-based dip coater tool with an automatic calibration system that has been developed. The data collection method in this study was to use a response questionnaire with a Likert scale. The average score of the four indicators obtained a result of 81.78%, which in this case is a very satisfied category. It can be concluded that the student satisfaction index for the Microcontroller-based Dip Coater Tool with an Automatic Calibration System for Making Thin Layers is Very Satisfied.

Abstract

This research is the development of a research support tool, namely Spin Coating. In addition to the high price factor and limited maintenance on the equipment that has been purchased, the researcher wants to design a spin coating tool to support laboratory equipment. Not only to get a relatively affordable price but also to be able to develop homemade tools that have precise measurement capabilities, and good quality results because they use a microcontroller in the tool's work settings. Therefore, researchers created a new design for a spin coating tool with IoT technology to make it easier for laboratory users to monitor it from anywhere and anytime and storage real time. The research method is Research and Development with the stages of design calibration, and testing of tools. From the results of making the tool, the resolution of the tool through the linearity of the sensor used is 99.71% with the power value of each RPM, namely 178.05 RPM/W. The IoT innovation on the spin coating tool runs smoothly using cloud.

Abstract

Abstract The government issued a policy of an electric motorcycle purchase assistance programme through the Minister of Industry Regulation Number 21 of 2023. This policy aims to accelerate the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia to create a sustainable environment. Subsidising the purchase of electric motors can be considered an appropriate policy from an environmental and energy diversification perspective. Economically, such subsidies can encourage the adoption of green technologies and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The type of research used is qualitative research using documentation data collection techniques and then analysed by reducing data, presenting data and then drawing a conclusion. This policy needs continuous monitoring and evaluation is needed to ensure that this policy is in line with the principles of a sustainable economy, including the integration of environmental, social, and economic aspects in decision-making. Are these incentives short-term or can they provide long-term economic sustainability? In further analyses, it is necessary to consider the concept of demand elasticity. The result of this study is that subsidies can increase consumer purchasing power for electric motorbikes, resulting in increased demand. However, the effect may vary depending on the price elasticity of demand. If demand is inelastic, the increase in price due to subsidies may not be proportional to the increase in demand, so this policy has not been fully implemented. Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the development and trends in research publications related to science in the context of local wisdom, also known as science local wisdom. Local wisdom can be understood as human efforts to act and behave toward certain phenomena, objects, or events based on cognitive and cultural frameworks. Unconsciously, many forms of local wisdom inherently contain scientific elements. The objective of this research is to map and examine the academic discourse surrounding this topic through a bibliometric lens using Scopus-indexed publications. Method: The study employed a bibliometric analysis approach to explore the evolution of scientific research concerning local wisdom. This method quantitatively analyzes published literature—including journal articles, books, and other forms of written communication—based on their social, intellectual, and conceptual structures. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using bibliometric software tools to visualize patterns of publication, identify keyword trends, track prolific authors, and examine research collaborations. Results: The results indicate that the topic of science local wisdom is still emerging and has been receiving growing scholarly attention in recent years. The distribution of keywords and publication trends indicates that the integration of local wisdom into science education, particularly in physics learning, is becoming a growing area of research interest. However, the number of publications remains relatively low, suggesting a significant opportunity for future exploration. Novelty: This study highlights the novelty of connecting scientific literacy and education with local cultural knowledge systems. By providing a comprehensive bibliometric overview, the study not only identifies current research gaps but also emphasizes the potential of local wisdom as a culturally responsive approach to science learning, particularly within physics education. This integrated perspective offers a fresh direction for interdisciplinary educational research.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine how digital learning aid systems support the development of students’ problem solving skills in physics education. The study focuses on identifying how digital tools facilitate conceptual understanding, visualization of abstract physics concepts, inquiry based learning processes, and student engagement in solving physics problems. Method: This research uses a systematic literature review approach. Relevant studies were collected from international scientific databases and selected based on inclusion criteria related to digital learning systems, physics education, and problem solving skills. The selected articles were analyzed to identify learning mechanisms, instructional features, and patterns of digital technology use that support problem solving in physics learning environments. Results: The analysis shows that digital learning aid systems enhance problem solving through several instructional mechanisms. Interactive simulations, virtual experiments, visualization tools, and feedback systems help students understand physics concepts, explore relationships between variables, conduct inquiry based investigations, and evaluate solution strategies. These features support analytical thinking and structured problem solving processes. Novelty: This review highlights that digital learning aid systems function not only as instructional media but as integrated learning environments that simultaneously support conceptual understanding, visualization, inquiry processes, and student engagement to strengthen problem solving skills in physics education.
