Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui keterampilan proses yang dimiliki siswa setelah menerapkan metode analisis video software Tracker di kelas X SMAN 1 Sooko Mojokerto. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, keterampilan proses sains yang dimiliki siswa setelah menerapkan metode analisis video  software Tracker, aktivitas siswa, respon siswa, dan kendala yang dihadapi pada saat pembelajaran. Jenis dari penelitian ini adalah Deskriptif Kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest posttest, satu kelas yang diberi perlakuan dan direplikasi satu kali. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan proses siswa dalam hal mengamati, mengukur,  merancang eksperimen, interpretasi data, dan berkomunikasi setelah menerapkan metode analisis video software Tracker mengalami kenaikan baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas. Dimana keterlaksaan pembelajaran yang baik, aktivitas siswa yang sangat baik, respon siswa yang juga baik, beberapa kendala yang muncul saat kegiatan pembelajaran telah dapat diatasi. Secara kuantitas terlihat dari peningkatan jumlah siswa yang tuntas dalam mengerjakan soal keterampilan proses. Secara kualitas adalah peningkatan skor rata-rata tiap kelas pada saat post tes dibandingkan hasil pre tes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran model Guided Discovery berbasis lab virtual valid, praktis dan efektif untuk mereduksi miskonsepsi siswa SMK topik efek fotolistrik. Ujicoba perangkat pembelajaran diberikan kepada siswa kelas XII SMK IKIP Surabaya (Indonesia) program keahlian Multimedia tahun ajaran 2015/2016 menggunakan one group pre-test post-test design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, tes diagnostik, dan angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif, kuantitatif dengan metode tingkat kecocokan (Percentage of Agreement) untuk validasi perangkat, reduksi miskonsepsi melalui tes diagnostik kategori miskonsepsi didukung dengan uji-t. Temuan hasil penelitian adalah: (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid; (2) kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran dianalisis melalui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berkategori baik dan kendala yang ditemui berhasil diberikan solusi; dan (3) keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran dianalisis melalui reduksi miskonsepsi tes diagnostik yaitu post-test dibandingkan dengan pre-test dan nilai kategori miskonsepsi tes diagnostik di uji-t menunjukkan reduksi miskonsepsi yang signifikan. Berdasarkan temuan disimpulkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan memenuhi syarat kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektivan untuk mereduksi miskonsepsi siswa SMK topik efek fotolistrik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ragam miskonsepsi siswa yang muncul pada konsep efek fotolistrik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan tes diagnostik konsep efek fotolistrik setelah siswa mendapatakan pengajaran konvensional di kelas. Tes diagnostik yang diujikan terdiri atas pilihan ganda dilengkapi dengan alasan terbuka serta skala keyakinan jawaban (CRI) dan telah dinyatakan valid serta reliabel. Data yang didapatkan melalui tes diagnostik dianalisis berdasarkan kombinasi jawaban pilihan ganda dan CRI untuk mendapatkan kategori miskonsepsi dan lebih lanjut ragam miskonsepsi didapatkan melalui alasan terbuka yang dikemukakan. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan ragam miskonsepsi yang muncul pada siswa adalah: (1) panjang gelombang dan frekuensi sebanding,(2) panjang gelombang sebanding dengan energi cahaya,(3) besar energi cahaya dikacaukan dengan urutan warna pelangi,(4) menganggap jika energi cahaya sama dengan fungsi kerja, maka sudah terjadi efek fotolistrik, (5) frekuensi cahaya bertambah maka intensitas cahaya juga bertambah (6) tidak ada pengaruh intensitas cahaya terhadap Efek Fotolistrik,(7) stopping potential besarnya sama dengan energi cahaya. Abstract

This action research study investigates the use of team-based project learning to enhance the pedagogical competence of pre-service physics teachers, specifically focusing on their capacity to develop physics teaching materials. The study employed a five-stage strategy, which included the following steps: first action, observation, reinforcement, second action, and assessment. These phases formed a cycle of action research in a pedagogical course within the undergraduate program of physics education, specifically focused on teaching material development. Observation, assignments, product assessment sheets, and interviews were utilized to obtain data. The obtained data consists of quantitative data, namely performance value data related to both the process and product, as well as qualitative data in the form of interview findings. The findings indicate that 96% of pre-service teachers who engaged in material development courses through project activities had highly satisfactory marks, namely within the A- and A categories. This study emphasizes the significance of fostering efficient pedagogical techniques among prospective educators and provides data from an action research investigation. Furthermore, this research also assists in the preparation of pre-service physics instructors who possess the necessary skills to create physics textbooks. Participating in collaborative project activities allows pre-service physics teachers to gain essential skills, knowledge, and practical experiences that will prepare them for their future positions in the classroom.

Abstract

Research has been conducted to determine the effectiveness of the guided discovery model based on the virtual lab PhET (Physics Education technology) on mastering students' concepts in the photoelectric effect material. The purpose of this study is describing the feasibility of learning, student activity, and the effectiveness of the model applied to the mastery of student concepts. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with the design of one group pretest-posttest. The data obtained were in the form of learning accuracy questionnaires, student activities, and the results of the pretest and posttest mastery of students' concepts. Analysis of data on implementation and activities of students used percentage of agreement, while mastery of students' concepts was analyzed descriptively quantitatively through homogeneity, normality, and N-gain test. Based on data and analysis, it was concluded that the implementation of categorical learning was very good, student activities were in good category, and guided discovery models based on virtual labs PhET were effectively used to improve mastery of students' concepts in the photoelectric effect material.

Abstract

Monoicado (The Science Monopoly Game on Light and Optical Instruments) is an educational game based on a monopoly game developed with the aim of helping students understand the material, encouraging students to be more active, and providing a fun atmosphere in learning science subjects on the material of Light and Optical Instruments at the junior high school level. This paper aims to describe (1) the feasibility and (2) students' responses to the results of the media development. This study implemented the 4D research and development model proposed by Thiagarajan (define, design, develop, and disseminate) where the dissemination stage was not carried out. The research subjects involved 2 material experts, 2 media experts, 2 teachers as users, and 33 students from one junior high school in Bondowoso district, East Java. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively . Quantitative analysis was carried out on the acquisition of validation scores given by experts, users, and students. Qualitative analysis was conducted on all responses to the media. The media developed is considered very valid in all three aspects of assessment (material, media, and practicality). Students' responses to the media are visualized in a wordcloud with the most comments: easy to understand, fun, and to train memory on the Light and Optical Instruments material.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the e-book Basic Physics Fluid Series design assisted by virtual laboratory Tracker Video Analysis (TVA) that effectively improves students' critical thinking skills. The method used in this study is Research and Development. The graphic design developed, including illustrations and visual elements, was identified as necessary for improving critical thinking skills. At the same time, practice questions with varying difficulty levels allowed students to apply knowledge. The validation process, including the Content Validity Ratio (CVR) test, underlined high agreement and validity, with suggestions for improvement, including contextual design, material optimization, interactive elements, accessibility considerations, student feedback collection, and curriculum alignment. The test results showed that learning with this e-book effectively improved students' critical thinking skills. The results obtained in the indicator provided a simple explanation, concluding that it shows a high N-gain value. In contrast, several other indicators show moderate values. This e-book design can be a role model for developing similar media, especially related efforts to improve students' Critical Thinking Skills (CTS).

Abstract

One device that is commonly used to demonstrate electrostatic phenomena is the Van de Graaff generator. However, this device is found to be expensive, relatively large, hard to move, and not available in many school laboratories. This paper aims to describe the experiment of creating a simple portable handheld Van de Graaff generator produced by employing second and easily available materials in the local market. This device collects charges from two materials that rub against each other. The combination of chosen materials listed in the triboelectric series determines the type of charge on the generator. This research used the experimental method by continuously testing the prototype to find the best result using the following steps: start, theory, design, material selection and assembly, testing, completion, and finish. A charge conduction experiment and a charge type test through a simple Coulomb experiment or an electrostatic polarity detector successfully tested the final product. The results showed that the device could effectively demonstrate basic electrostatic phenomena, making it a practical and affordable alternative for classroom demonstration.

Abstract

Pemahaman dan penerapan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sangat penting dalam pendidikan saat ini. Salah satu bentuk implementasinya adalah melalui Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), yang dalam penelitian ini diwujudkan melalui pembuatan yel-yel bertema demokrasi di tingkat SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan P5 dalam menanamkan nilai demokrasi serta dampaknya terhadap karakter dan keterampilan sosial siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi di salah satu SMA di Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang demokrasi, memperkuat keterampilan sosial seperti musyawarah dan kerja sama, serta mendorong kreativitas dalam penyusunan lirik dan gerakan yel-yel. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kegiatan berbasis P5 dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam mengintegrasikan pendidikan demokrasi dan penguatan karakter di sekolah. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi institusi pendidikan untuk mengadopsi metode serupa dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai Pancasila pada siswa.
