Abstract

The use of plastic replacing other materials exacerbates marine pollution, accumulation of nondegradable waste, and leads to greenhouse gas emissions and microplastics, threatening ecosystems and human health. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of green marketing strategies in enhancing environmental awareness and purchasing interest in Starbucks Coffee products. The research methodology employs Systematic Literature Review (SLR), collecting data through documentation of relevant articles from similar studies. Findings indicate that green marketing effectively boosts purchasing interest and positively impacts brand image, influencing consumer purchasing decisions and loyalty

Abstract

A Currently, Indonesia is facing a demographic bonus, namely that the productive age is greater than the non-productive age. When entering a productive age, a person's standard of living will increase. Several studies have stated that the higher a person's standard of living, the greater their electricity needs will be. The need for electricity is currently a primary need; from waking up to resting, a person must use a lot of electricity, especially in big cities. If that happens in the future, there will definitely be more use of electricity needs. Indonesia's biggest challenge is to develop and increase a reliable and clean electricity supply. The solution is the development and application of New and Renewable Energy (EBT). The author tried to make a prototype of a Wind Power Plant (PLTB) on a small scale with tests with and without loads. The test results indicate that with a constant wind speed of 25 m/s, the results of the test without a load showed a stable voltage at 12.48 volts. When given a load of 3W, 6W, 9W, 12W, 15W, 18W, and 21W. The current value also changes with a lower light intensity.

Abstract

The wood processing industry heavily relies on three-phase induction motors to drive high-power equipment such as chipper machines. One of the major challenges in operating these motors is the high inrush current during startup, which can destabilize the power system and accelerate equipment wear. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using a soft starter as a starting method for a 400kW induction motor in a chipper application. The research method is an experimental case study involving direct field observation and theoretical calculations of electrical parameters such as nominal current, current limiting, torque, and trip class. The observation results show that the actual starting current of 1,216.15 A remains below the calculated current limiting threshold of 1,575 A, while the trip class value of 2,835 A provides optimal protection. The use of a soft starter proves effective in reducing inrush current, maintaining voltage stability, and enhancing the reliability and efficiency of motor operation. This research supports the application of soft starters as a suitable solution for high-power motor starting in heavy industrial settings.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan judul “Pemanfaatan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Pico Hydro (PLTPH) Turbin Cross-Flow pada Perkebunan Masyarakat Bukit Aur” ini bertujuan untuk mengadakan suplai listrik bagi petani durian yang berkebun di Bukit Aur. Dimana perkebunan durian ini dapat menjanjikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap ekonomi lokal. Namun, tantangan yang dihadapi berupa akses terhadap listrik yang terbatas. Dengan infrastruktur listrik yang terbatas menyebabkan sebagian besar masyarakat bergantung pada sumber energi konvensional yang mahal dan merugikan lingkungan. Sumber energi konvensional yang digunakan oleh masyaraka ialah penggunaan senter atau lampu lantera sebagai alat penerang ketika musim panen. Penggunaan sumber energi konvensional ini membutuhkan biaya yang mahal dan dapat merugikan lingkungan jika tidak bijak dalam penggunaannya. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya aliran listrij di Bukit Aur. Pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, pembangkit listrik yang dihasilkan oleh tenaga pico hydro ialah sebesar 300 Watt, sehingga masyarakat dapat memanfaatkan listrik yang tersedia untuk menghidupkan lampu, men-charge baterai handphone, dan menghidupkan alat elektronik yang dayanya dibawah 300 Watt atau total untuk keseluran daya pada alat elektronik yang hidup di bawah 300 Watt. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini, dengan daya yang dihasilkan oleh pembangkit dapat menghidupkan 3 buah lampu dengan daya 39 Watt dan sekaligus dapat men-charge baterai handphone sebanyak 5 buah.
