Abstract

The education system during the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW had a very important role in shaping the character and morals of Muslims. At that time, education was carried out with a very integral approach, not only covering aspects of religious knowledge, but also moral and social aspects. One of the most prominent educational institutions during the Prophet's time was Kuttab, which functioned as a place to teach reading, writing, as well as basic religious knowledge such as the Koran and Hadith. Apart from that, the mosque also functions as a very strategic educational center, not only as a place of worship, but also as a place to study religious, social and cultural knowledge. In the mosque, the Prophet Muhammad SAW conveyed Allah's revelations, taught his friends, and provided guidance in various aspects of life. With this approach, education during the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW succeeded in creating a society that had strong religious knowledge, noble morals, and was able to adapt to the times. This article will examine in more depth the role of Kuttabs and Mosques as centers of education during the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and their impact on the development of the Islamic education system that exists today.

Abstract

Madrasah as an Islamic educational institution has a strategic role in the formation of character and morals of students. This study aims to analyze the development of madrasahs in Indonesia from the aspects of history, curriculum, roles, and challenges faced. The research method used is a literature study by collecting data from various sources such as books, journals, and education policy documents. The results of the study indicate that madrasahs have evolved from traditional mosque-based institutions to formal institutions recognized in the national education system. The madrasah curriculum combines general and religious education with a portion of 40% religious material. Madrasahs play an important role in instilling Islamic values ​​through teacher role models, worship practices, and religious environments. However, madrasahs still face challenges such as limited facilities, technological gaps, and complicated bureaucracy. The solutions offered include increasing government support, strengthening the curriculum, and optimizing madrasah management. This study provides recommendations for policy makers to strengthen the role of madrasahs in the national education system.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia plays a strategic role in shaping national character and developing human resources. As times change, Islamic education is required to be more adaptive to global challenges while maintaining its foundational Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the formulation and integration of Indonesian government policies in advancing Islamic education, as well as to identify the obstacles and solutions in their implementation. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method based on literature review of government policies and their practical applications. The findings show that policy formulation follows a systematic process involving various stakeholders, and focuses on curriculum reform, teacher competency development, digitalization of madrasahs, and strengthening of international networks. However, implementation faces several challenges, including regional disparities, limited infrastructure, and uneven human resource capacity. To address these issues, strategic solutions are proposed, such as expanding affirmative programs for underdeveloped regions (3T), providing technology-based teacher training, fostering public-private partnerships, and reforming bureaucratic processes in budget management. In conclusion, cross-sector synergy and policy continuity are essential to realizing an inclusive, high-quality, and globally competitive Islamic education system ABSTRAK. Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia memiliki peran strategis dalam pembentukan karakter bangsa dan pembangunan sumber daya manusia. Seiring perkembangan zaman, pendidikan Islam dituntut untuk lebih adaptif terhadap tantangan global tanpa kehilangan nilai-nilai keislaman yang mendasarinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses perumusan dan integrasi kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam serta mengidentifikasi hambatan dan solusi implementasinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian kualitatif-deskriptif berbasis studi literatur terhadap kebijakan-kebijakan yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah dan praktik implementasinya di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan Islam dirumuskan melalui proses sistematis yang melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan, dan diarahkan pada reformasi kurikulum, peningkatan kompetensi guru, digitalisasi madrasah, serta penguatan jejaring internasional. Namun, implementasinya menghadapi berbagai hambatan seperti disparitas antarwilayah, keterbatasan infrastruktur, dan sumber daya manusia yang belum merata. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, diperlukan penguatan afirmasi bagi daerah 3T, pelatihan guru berbasis teknologi, kemitraan publik-swasta, serta reformasi birokrasi dalam pengelolaan anggaran. Kesimpulannya, sinergi lintas sektor dan kesinambungan kebijakan menjadi kunci dalam mewujudkan pendidikan Islam yang berkualitas, inklusif, dan berdaya saing global.

Abstract

The process of learning Fiqh, specifically the material on fardu kifayah, is not fully facilitated by the presence of textbooks alone, which only provide theoretical content to students. There is no direct practice due to insufficient time. The research problem formulated in this study is: How is the initial research of Audio-Visual Media for Fiqh Learning on Fardu Kifayah for Class X students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri I Padang Lawas? What is the validity level of the Development of Audio-Visual Media to Improve Fardu Kifayah Skills for Class X students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri I Padang Lawas? What is the practicality level of the Development of Audio-Visual Media to Improve Fardu Kifayah Skills for Class X students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri I Padang Lawas? What is the effectiveness level of the Development of Audio-Visual Media to Improve Fardu Kifayah Skills for Class X students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri I Padang Lawas? This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study with stages including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri I Padang Lawas. The subjects of this study were 38 students of class X IIS 1, consisting of 14 males and 24 females. Data collection techniques included observation and questionnaires. The validation results in this study indicate that the audio-visual media validation by material experts is 94%, declared valid and usable after revision, and the media validation result is 90%, declared valid and usable after revision. The response of the Fiqh subject teachers was 90%, and the response of the curriculum teachers was 88%. The response of the students to the audio-visual media was 90%. The results of this study indicate that the audio-visual learning media for the Fiqh subject, implemented in class X IIS 1, showed an improvement in test scores from a pre-test score of 52.23% to a post-test score of 91.44%. Therefore, using this audio-visual media resulted in an increase of 39.21% from pre-test to post-test scores. It can be concluded that the audio-visual media for the Fiqh subject is suitable for use and can improve student learning achievement.
