Abstract

This research aims to analyze KH. M. Hasyim Asy'ari's Islamic thought in fostering patriotism, as well as his contribution to Indonesian education and community development. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with PRISMA guidelines, this research includes article searches through Scopus and Google Scholar, which collected 315 relevant articles, which were then analyzed using the VOSviewer application to map thematic linkages. The article selection and analysis process was rigorous to ensure the quality and relevance of the findings. This research identified and summarized relevant literature regarding KH. M. Hasyim Asy'ari's contribution in promoting the values of nationalism and patriotism. The main findings of the research show that KH. M. Hasyim Asy'ari's thoughts, such as Ruh al-Jihad, Ruh al-Ittihad, and the principle of hubbub within minal iman, provide important inspiration to generate a sense of nationalism, especially among the younger generation. His role in the establishment of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, the introduction of an educational curriculum that combines religion and general science, and the establishment of Nahdlatul Ulama as a forum for the struggle for independence contributed greatly to instilling religious and national values. However, this research also notes the challenges in implementing his thoughts in the era of globalization, including the influence of foreign cultures, the development of technology and information, and the increasing radicalization that can threaten the spirit of nationalism. This research contributes to the development of knowledge regarding the strengthening of nationalist values based on moderate and contextual Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is a pedagogical approach that recognizes the diversity of students in terms of readiness, interests, and learning styles. This study aims to analyse the implementation, outcomes, and challenges of differentiated learning in 21st-century education. This study uses a systematic literature review method, which evaluates 22 selected articles from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. The findings reveal that differentiated learning is effective in enhancing student engagement, material comprehension, and social skills through the adaptation of content, processes, products, and learning environments. However, its implementation faces challenges such as time management, limited human resources, and perceptions of inequity among students. Addressing these challenges requires enhancing teacher competence, providing adequate support from the education system, and implementing more effective classroom management. This study contributes by offering insights into differentiated learning practices and strategies relevant to the Merdeka Curriculum era and humanistic education.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the Learning-Oriented Assessment (LOA) model and its implementation to comprehensively and sustainably assess Qur'an reading and writing skills, as well as to identify the factors that support or inhibit its implementation.Methodology – This study employed the systematic literature review (SLR) method to analyze 24 articles published between 2020 and 2025 that focus on learning-oriented assessments for evaluating comprehensive and sustainable Al-Qur'an reading and writing skills. A thematic analysis was conducted to identify the main themes that emerged from the articles.Findings – The findings show that LOA is a participatory, reflective and process-oriented assessment approach, with five main models, namely 2D-LoA, EAT Framework, CSA-CT, Ecological LOA and ELOA, and five implementation patterns: self-assessment and peer-assessment, formative feedback and feedforward, authentic tasks and reflective projects, digital technology integration and collaboration in determining assessment criteria. Supporting factors include teacher competence and reflective orientation, active student participation, authentic and process-oriented task design, technological support, and an inclusive classroom climate and assessment culture. Meanwhile, barriers identified include the dominance of summative assessment and test culture, low assessment literacy among teachers, time constraints and administrative burdens, student resistance to new assessment practices, limited infrastructure and access to technology, and lack of institutional and policy support.Contribution–This research contributes significantly to the development of an assessment model that goes beyond traditional summative evaluation, with an approach that prioritizes continuous feedback and active student engagement in the learning process

Abstract

The school zoning policy, as outlined in the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, aims to ensure equitable access to education. However, implementing this system presents significant challenges for educational institutions, especially when it comes to attracting new students. This study examines the shift in public interest in private Islamic educational institutions resulting from the policy. A systematic review of 278 articles was conducted, and 17 articles were selected based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. These criteria were meticulously defined and applied in accordance with the PRISMA guidelines, encompassing a wide range of sources from Scopus, Google Scholar, and Lens.org. Org. Existing research suggests that the public has limited ability to choose schools that align with their children's interests and talents. This impacts learning motivation and satisfaction with the education received. Consequently, private Islamic educational institutions have the opportunity to attract high-quality students by offering a curriculum that is more responsive to community needs
